@@spark9189 The playable one in that game is beyond broken, it's Nineball Seraph essentially jumped up to NEXT levels from AC4 which was the most recent game at the time. Primal Armour which makes it invulnerable for a time, ECM Fog that turns you invisible, all the while moving at Mach 2 with 20 missiles, pulse lasers, twin moonlights, orbits and a variety of super laser limit break moves as well. IIRC you have to destroy 1000 enemies and 4 bosses in the mission you play as Nineball and genuinely exhaustion is the biggest enemy, everything else evaporates after more than second in your target reticle. All to an amazing arrangement of Nineballs Theme "9".
I want to see a secret boss battle where you have to fight an AC6 version of either Nine Ball or Nine Ball-Seraph. He's literally made to be a hard boss.
I would really love to see that and I think there is a good chance that it will happen… I think that From wants to show off the best this series has to offer to all the newcomers, so there will probably some variant of 9Ball in there!
Here is hoping any DLC they make has Nine-Ball in it, either as a story enemy or secret boss. Personally I think the PCA 'System' AI would make a good Nine-Ball placement.

0:11 Actually, the arena was introduced in Project Phantasma. What differentiates Master of Arena from any other Armored Core game was progressing through the arena is a part of the story. Well done beating Nine-Ball Seraph. I used those quad-legs, the grenade launcher weapon arms, and chaingun on the shoulder. It probably only took me 2-3 tries with that build, back in the day. You sacrifice defense and versatility in exchange for double firepower with weapon arms. And don't underestimate that chaingun.
Man, this boss literally is a may go down in history as one of the hardest bosses of any from software game, standing on the likes of isshin, the sword Saint and malenia
Beat Seraph twice, one circle boosting with machine guns, the other nade launchers on every slot and tank legs. The nade one was quite memorable. Had just enough ammo to clear the regular NineBalls.
I recalled when I fought the final boss in Master of Arena. Few attempts, and fully unaware of Human Plus augmentations. I am built like a tank on maximum firepower. Has to be treads to keep my shoulder weapons firing at any condition. Considering Seraph's loadout from the attempts, getting up close and personal is my best chance and kitted out accordingly. There's two paths to the final boss, depending on the method: Mission Route and Arena Route Lana's Messages prior to the final mission is dependent on the route. But the Arena Route is the hardest, because I definitely do not recall the map layout being like that. There's no means of just escaping into the next area.
Seems like the real challenge in this game is the incredibly small FOV and stupidly slow turn time. Makes keeping the enemy in sight harder than everything else combined. Which is why the winning build is just a tank with lots of firepower boosting backwards to keep the enemy in front of you and facetank him.
Nineball has a habit of taking flight if you're looking at him and I'm surprised it didn't in that instant. Any build if well piloted can beat it though. There is no winning build. I think this guy also had human+ as well, which let him fire his karasawa with out worrying about energy. It's a cheat you can enable in the first game and then port in from your save there to this game. It's also why he has the karasawa, which I don't think can be obtained in MoA with out previous game save data. Your field of view isn't really that small, nine ball is just very fast. Its speeds are similar to the NEXTs in Armored Core 4, letting it fly at speeds that literally let it compete with a jet fighter. It's ACTUALLY going that fast in the game. The standard AC's are also going at around 300+ KPH, if I recall. With enemies that fast, your FOV can be perfectly fine and it's still hard to track your enemy. Turn time is based on your legs, though on average you're gonna be able to do a full 180 in around a second or two, which isn't that bad for a like a 8 meter tall robot. It's actually kind of too fast, considering what they must weigh.
I think seraph always rushes at you at the start if youre lucky you can manage to get a middair moonlight strike those always do a shit ton of damage and then finish it off with that big ass missile luncher that does like 3k damage
Just beat MoA after playing AC1 and PP a few days ago. Seraph was hilarious because I was down to about 3k AP when I faced off against him, we both loosened a volley of missiles, and somehow the splash damage of his own missiles/grenades and mine resulted in an instant death for him. I survived with a sliver of AP and the ending FMV played. I was so confused. The battle lasted four seconds.
For me I straight up had to put on dual grenade launcher weapon arms to delete Nine Ball, turns out it deletes a Nine Ball within 4 rounds from those arms. I start to fight Seraph out of actual panic, fired twice, and the FMV started. I actually couldnt believe I cheesed the AI.
thanks for this. i wasn't going to play the game again after getting repeatedly trounced by nine ball. but this vid came up and i was looking at it and thought hey i'll replicate this build i see at 20:04 and so there i was, late at night, about to go to bed, when i loaded the game back up and beat this monster on the first re-attempt
I knew Seraph existed for a few years, but didn't know where it came from. Vaati's video drilled down on Master of Arena's final mission, and holy-moly is that a gauntlet. Aside from Last "Gonna' Cheat Lol" Raven, this sounds like one of the hardest levels in the main story path of an Armored Core.
A biped lightweight build with just a WA-Finger and Magazine. Boost backwards while firing as Nineball Seraph is rushing towards you. He will die before you run out of ammo. Lol

Ah, Nine Ball. The one machine so horrifying and (in ACE:R) broken that it would make even the most cold blooded pilots fear them. I've held onto this belief for a while now, but this thing could quite possibly annihilate any other mech if given the chance. That said, Ravens being the only pilots to ever best this beast in one on one combat makes them even more horrifying, which is saying a lot considering their very nature.
After watching this I need to replay the first two titles. Because it's really starting to feel like AC6 is actually a prequel leading up to Allmind becoming Hustler 1.
Time to make the AC2 vid. BTW remember to use the generation chart I made for that video along with telling them that Save import is only available for saves from the same Gen except Gen 3 that is split into two.
If any of you all are having trouble on this boss, equip large missiles to a quad. I watched a crusty ass TH-cam video on this fight years ago and the 12 shot large missile launcher absolutely shits on this fight. Just checked the wiki and it does more damage than the damn grenade launcher. It's what I ended up doing.
Not sure if you discovered this already but MoA's 9Ball (even Seraph) is horrendous at anti-missile defense. If you have the WM-AT 4-shot large missile, the one that has 9K attack power (you can win it in the ACPP arena), it takes only two missiles to beat Seraph. When the battle start just move backwards (boost if you're not in a fast quad-legs) and fire off the WM-AT twice and Seraph dies. If any of the missiles miss, just fire more. I've never had to use all 4 missiles, usually 2 missiles hit and kill him. Even the previous dual-9Ball battle is beatable with the 4 missiles, just fire 2 per 9Ball and they're toast. Then just bring another weapon to beat the first (solo) 9Ball since you need to save the WM-AT missiles for the dual-9Ball fight. After the WM-AT, the next easiest way to beat Seraph I've used is the WA-Finger machine gun (also won in ACPP arena). Again, just move backwards (boost if not in a fast quad) and hose Seraph down, he'll die very quickly. His AI is pretty bad in that if you're moving backwards fast enough to just keep out of blade range but not moving so fast that he switches to "jet" mode, he'll keep trying to boost towards you to blade you and end up eating all the fire from the WA-Finger till he dies. The WA-Finger will also beat the prior dual-9Ball and single-9Ball fights easily. Third choice in terms of easy ways to kill Seraph is the WR-L24 large rocket from AC1. Again just move backwards (boost if not in a fast quad) and fire away at Seraph while he keeps chasing you to try and blade you. It's manual aim though so you'll need to swing left and right while moving backward to keep him centered but so long as he keeps chasing you he'll die in around 5 rocket hits. Again you're exploiting his bad AI that keeps him trying to boost up to you so long as you stay just far enough to provoke his blade attack but don't move too far that he switches to "jet" mode.
This was the only PS1 armored core game I had back in highschool and we played the crap out of it. Laughing about "Elan Coooobis" is right up there with Breath of Fire 3's "smells burnt" and MGS 1's "return to anal positions" XD Tons of fun. Never had the option of trying the plus enhancements despite Tips and Tricks saying it functioned the same as the first game (damn you Pat Reynolds! lol), but creating your own arena allows you to add the option for you opponents which makes for tough matches. I haven't gone back to it for a few years, but it might be worth another playthrough once I finish Legend of Legaia. The only other I played in the series besides the demo of the very first one was AC3. I didn't even know they were still making these or that Fromsoft is a popular company now :P
Final Nineball is one of the easiest fights in the game... just use the rapid fire shoulder mounted laser cannon and any part that boosts energy weapon damage and blast him from the very start of the fight while he charges at you. (I beat this fight easily when the game first came out because that laser cannon was my favorite weapon in the game and later discovered that others had a hard time with it). This does not require human plus, literally hunker down and start blasting!
Yes, that's the plan! I have already started work on the video for AC2. But I won't exclusively do AC content as I have A LOT of other ideas which I think people could really enjoy ;)

A major factor vs 9Ball Seraph is using tank and quad legs makes all of the blade energy waves pass above you and avoid major damage.

The greatest enemy in early Armored Core isn't Highball Seraph, it's the garbage camera controls. I would love to see these games remade.

Nope, the buffs H+ give you sound really cool, but I don't want to use it on a first playthrough. Might go back and test them out later

Yes, that's the plan! I have already started work on the video for AC2. But I won't exclusively do AC content as I have A LOT of other ideas which I think people could really enjoy ;)
