I love this song. And her voice. The emotion…too much to say; so much to feel…my beloved mama, who was 98 years old, passed away right before Thanksgiving this past fall. I miss her everyday. She was my lighthouse, my example, my friend, my protector…I loved her so much. It was my honor to care for her the last 11 years of her life, as she faded away from Dementia. She still had rare moments where I would get a brief glimpse of the smart, beautiful woman I adored so much. My sisters and I used to make her promise us that she’d live to be 100…she almost made it. One of the last moments in her life before she slipped into a coma, I was alone with her, and she took my hand and looked at me in complete cognizance, with a wry smile and an apologetic look, as if to say, “Sorry, honey - I’m not going to be able to keep my promise…but I love you.” I wrote my mama a song for her memorial service. But this song just reaches into my heart and I break…I always break. Beautiful, tragic and full of hope.

She is unique: lot's of singers can sing beautifully but Angelina is telling/living her songs. She always seems to be completely 'in it'. And she had that gift (which to me goes beyond talent) since the very start as a 7 years old.
