Our 2023 Renegade Vienna's Coleman mach a/c unit started shutting down after 6 months of heavy Florida heat. Went up on the roof today and found all 6 compressor fan blades lying on the bottom of the unit. Called Coleman and they were great. Sending us a new one that I will install. If you can't do the basic repairs plan on a big budget and long wait time.

I always say when every you go on an extended rv trip pack a credit card for gas,a credit card for fun, and a credit card with the largest credit limit and zero balance ce for repairs. And your FMCA Coach-net card and your health insurance cards. You can handle anything

Our diesel pusher has 365's on the front. Those two cost what your 6 tires cost. It has 10 4D AGM batteries not counting the battery for the generator, 4 heat pumps, etc... At 17 years old it needs constant attention and funds to keep up. We love our coach and lifestyle and hope to continue traveling in retirement. You are fortunate to have a great repair center close to you. I have one too but they stay booked up. It's the nature of the beast. Really appreciate your channel. Thanks again.

Super easy to center the steering wheel. 1/2"bolt removal and move the shaft up from the splines and but it back to. 10 minutes and finished.

I just called Truma water heater company about needed repair. In the area here in Croton-On-Hudson, Truma stated that Gerber RV is their trained technician location. They had an open date in mid-June, a month earlier than RV One in CT. Without being negative about past experience, I am happy to switch to Gerber.

Izzy and MJ another great video! I’m so glad you have Whole Sale Warranty. It you in the long run. So glad they came to your rescue. If you did t gave that you would be paying out a lot more so I’m glad you have it. Now it’s like you have a brand new Rv. Nellie is as beautiful now as she was when you first got her. If not she’s more beautiful. I’m glad they have something like that Whole Sale warranty for Rvs. It comes in handy.

Hi, guys, we have a 2012 Georgetown 360 DS and you are right about stuff taking a crap at the worst time. I had a warranty on my rig for the first 10 years and only used it once the bill wasn't that bad and we paid about 5,500.00 for it back in 2012 so I contacted these guys about a warranty and it was over 7,000.00. With a lot of prayers and a bunch of luck hopefully, we can get another 10 out of George without any major stuff going wrong. I probably just jinxed myself but anyway love your videos and have fun and stay safe.

The main reason we purchased an RV in the first place was because we didn't want to leave our dogs at any kennels while traveling. But, I think when our puppies leave us, I'm going to unload our RV. It's a very, very expensive hobby. True, you get to go some places where you wouldn't otherwise be able to go and spend a couple of days. When you start adding up the monthly payment, insurance, registration, lousy gas mileage, campsite fees, maintenance, and accessories, it's really not worth it. Plus setting it up and breaking down, emptying the tanks, etc., it's definitely a lot work. And if you aren't using it full time, you have a camper that's sitting for several months rapidly depreciating in price. Luckily, we live in the country and can store our RV on our property. If not, we would be looking at another $75-100 a month just for storage. A person could drive coast to coast and stay in 5 star hotels along the way and it would be a fraction of what the cost would be to tow one that distance. It was fun while we were doing it, but my time is coming to call it quits. Anyway, a great video and you guys rock!

Hi Izzy and MJ! Great video! That shine on Nellie is so bright I had to put my sunglasses on over here! We have had our 5th wheel for 5 years and this is the year for tires as well 😬. We do all of our own maintenance like silicone and roof sealant, slide seal lube, packing wheel bearing, brakes, etc. Its great to have a welder/fabricator/mechanic as a husband! But with that we save a lot of money doing repairs ourselves. Thanks for the great video! Safe travels!

Washing / waxing .. roof cleaning & maintenance . Keeping up on condensation. And on and on.. but love our toy hauler and full time RVing. Freedom, views, experiences, adventures. If your not handy and can fix even minor issues, you will go broke RVing ….

Never truer words are spoken. I've worked with the elderly moving into their vehicles. I tell them all if they don't know how to do maintenance, or don't want to learn, or don't have the strength to do it, then get the newest vehicle you can afford. Full-time on the road gets expensive the older the rig, and the more amenities you feel you need, if you don't know how to maintain it yourself.

Don’t underestimate the information in this video please. So many people want to join the RVERS of America and live the life they often don’t comprehend the costs involved. For some people it’s sheer luck that problems just don’t happen however they are the minority as in reality almost every owner is going to face some problems. You need a bucket of money to face the unexpected or pay for insurance and know how much it’s possibly going to cost going forward.
I’m disappointed with the manufacturers who don’t respond to their customers and blame shortages of spare parts or long queues for repairs. Given what’s happening is buying a new RV still worthwhile or is it better to buy something a few years old that’s already had the main issues ironed out? I’m thinking the latter might be the answer provided you have a good independent inspection prior to your purchase. Whichever works for you I wish you every happiness and success. It’s a brilliant video my friends ♥️🕊️💫

No extended warranty on our rigs. First one was a used 1996 Itasca class A that we had to sell after four years because it was having major repairs for the chassis every year and parts were becoming obsolete. Spend over a thousand dollars chasing a generator problem - on which most of the parts were obsolete. Upgraded a few years ago to a used 2013 Tiffin and so far the only issue has been the rear AC failed. I do put a side money every month for repairs and maintenance. Soon it will be time for tires and batteries. As we approach ten years old I would only expect things to start failing. It's cheaper to replace and upgrade the items rather than buy the 2023 Kountry Star I love... a lot cheaper! For another video the guy asked about cost of total ownership. I totaled everything it costs for ownership and use the RV 16 times per year. Without the monthly payment on the motorhome, that's a veritable, it's just under $2K per month to own and use it. If you are going to get into this you have to have deep pockets. We use the motorhome 95% for dog shows. If it was not for that and the convenience of being on the show grounds - I would not have a RV. Just camping is not that attractive to me. I miss traveling outside of the USA because of the expense of the dog shows.

We purchased a 2022 Coachman Pursuit June 10, 2022. It’s built on a 2020 Ford F53 chassis. I’ve had our motorhome aligned 3 times so far and it still tracks right, hard. The steering wheel is centered, but you cannot take your hands off the wheel for a second!!

Nellie looks awesome. I just spent 5 hours on my beast this week. She looks just as good now. Love my snap-pads. Always tell people who don't have them they should really invest in them. Soft starts also worth the money. Should have mentioned expecting the $1000 entrance fee for showing up at the shop. Not cheap on labor around Midwest either.

The steering wheel on our Pursuit (on a F-53 V-8 chassis) is always tilted as if pulling left. I've had it laser-aligned, but to no avail. I intend to adjust the steering stabilizer ... again, and hopefully that will do it, because there's only so much adjustment. But frankly, of all the annoyances, this is the least.

You are correct. The only reason we have an RV is because of our pets. We don't want to put them in a kennel for 2 or 3 weeks while we travel. It is an expensive hobby, plus a lot of work. Just getting it ready is a time consuming job. Plus, when you factor the insurance, registration and constant maintenance it would be cheaper to just stay in nice B&B's along your route or hotels. Add in lousy gas mileage and even the cost of a night at a campground. Yep, it's fun for a while but it does get old. When our puppies pass, our RV will be going too.

My HWH leaving jacks are the most difficult. We had replaced on Feb this year with 2 new in rear of coach and now driver side rear not working again. Unable to level and getting fixed. This is the first time I've head of Wholesale Warranty. We bought a 2003 Beaver Marquis. One of the issues is we had very little maintenance records that came along with the RV. We are, what I would say is playing catch up. We'll have the RV 3 years. The largest single Item is having the radiator replaced. I had the fluid tested a couple on months after we owned the RV, the test came back all is good. I am not sure the test is an accurate test. From my perspective the test is missing something. From now on every 3-5 years change the fluid.

Would like to know if motor vehicle insurance is expensive as in collision, comprehensive etc. And do the rates fluctuate between a $500.000 and 1.2 million coach, I would expect you would need to add that cost to ownership. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I have a 2016 Tiffin Open Road on a F53 chassis, V10. I have never had steering trouble. I also installed the front end Steer Safe product ($453, a lot cheaper than liquid springs) to help with control steering for blow outs and passing truck blow by. I have had several issues including replacement of the engine ($27000), leather peeling on furniture (replacement $11,000 Villa furniture), levelers leaking (fixed myself with a O ring), break lights going out ($452). Fun money is definitely a requirement! Love your channel. Sincerely, Peter Z

I’m about 5 years out before I retire and start to RV . Everyone wants different things. I have been studying between fifth wheel and class A. My budget is much smaller. I really want a diesel for traveling in the mountains . The class A are just too expensive. I’m getting a 2024 GMC Sierra 1 tonDuramax diesel . As soon as I pay that off in five years. I will be getting an alliance paradigm fifth wheel. I won’t be using the truck that much so I should had very low mileage on it by the time I get the RV . I just don’t trust these class A especially some of the motors. I wanted to get a FR3 30ds and pull a small car behind it but going in the mountains having a gasoline engine may have problems. I think I would trust my duramax more than some of these class A diesels. Plus they’re just too expensive . I know there are great deals on fifth wheels especially the 2022 and now I have seen some 2023 with good prices . I been seeing 2022 paradigm for 68,000 on dealers lots . Unfortunately I can’t make a truck and rv payment at the same time. Thanks

I absolutely love your videos. My wife and I purchased a 10 year old Class A diesel motorhome last year and we purchased a 4 year wholesale warranty policy. Since then we broke down a couple of times while traveling and we were unable to find anyone to honor wholesale warranty to get us rolling again. We were able to get a mobile mechanic to come to our rescue, however we just paid them out of pocket. I spoke to wholesale warranty about reimbursement and they stated that they do not work that way. I can’t get an answer on how to use them in a breakdown situation. Hopefully someone out there can give us some direction on how to use it. By the way we have towing insurance to get us to a repair facility if need be.
