Jarrod, I jus bought a 5 Pro AMD with 3070ti and have found out that these AMD pro versions don't have Advanced Optimus included. Can you do a video on if this impacts performance and battery life? There are lots of people on the Lenovo forums who have complained about the feature being listed in the specs, but not available on the machine.

I always find myself coming back and buying from the Legion lineup. I prefer the look they bring to their gaming laptops and are always top of the line in terms of performance. They know that the midrange laptops are the real money makers and take care of their customers with fantastic price to performance. While recently other companies have caught on and are now following the same mentality I still find myself going to them for the products I need. Every company has horror stories but Lenovo has always done right by me anytime I had to get in touch with them.

My region 5's webcam broke within 2 weeks after purchasing it. The laptop constancely lost its bluetooth driver. It's currently at Lenovo reparing center now due to the problem that the screen could not turn on. You can have a second monitor connected to its but still, nothing changed.

mobile tip, if you get an uninterruptible power supply especially one that’s 900 watts like the 1500 VA then you can play at plugged in power level even if you don’t have wall outlet. I thought about this the other day when we lost power. it would be an extra thing to carry around but let’s say you’re waiting in your car somewhere then it’s kind of convenient.

Ran smooth for 6 years straight. I thought I'd give lenovo another chance. It seems like not a matter of luck. I did a poll on reddit to see how many users have similar laptop breaking problems. Hey, I love your videos and I need some advice as I finally got some coin and am thinking of buying a new laptop.
So I'm wondering whether to buy - MSI GF66 Katana with i7-11800H and GTX 3070 or Legion 5 Pro with i7-11800H and GTX 3060, (all other specs are the same 512gb ssd, 2x8 ram etc.). Both of which are at relatively the same price (15$ difference) where I am.
My concern is the MSI GPU power limit is only 85W, so I dont know if the 3070 will be better than the 3060 in the Legion?
Any recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated. Sadly, the 3070 Legions here are insanely expensive, so thats not really an option right now, otherwise that would be my go-to choice.

Hey jarrod, I'm curious to know if using a mug switch and gaming laptop for excessive use will burn/destroy the hardware much quicker than a pc. I've been advised even tho laptops are catching up to pc capabilities they burn out/don't last anywhere near as long due to the lack of cooling. Can you confirm/deny this please ?

Managed to get a great deal on Lenovo 2021 legion 5 11800h and rtx 3070 with 1080p 165hz which was around £400 cheaper than the 2022 legion 5 12700h and 3060 with 1440p 165hz. Would have loved the 1440p screen but for playing on the laptop the 1080p is fine, and can hook up to my 4k TV for high Res gameplay anyway for which the 3070 will be better achieving that than the 3060. Great laptop, no complaints - thanks for the recommendation!

Hey Jarrod, If you could please raise awareness among these issues in the Legion lineup I have been experiencing
    1. the AMD FTPM issue that causes stuttering in windows 11 (There are so many stutters dude) and my latencymon results are also not that good because of it
    2. A bios update reduced performance of all legion laptops about 10-15%, this has been there for quite awhile dont know whether they fixed it
    3. AMD has already released the fix for the stuttering issues relating to its FTPM and Lenovo hasn't still released the fix for it through a BIOS update meanwhile some other vendors have already released it.
    4. IDK why but my legion's battery life is also poor (I'm unable to return it or put it to warranty because my country's customers service is the worse dude. I live in Sri Lanka)
    5. My laptop came shipped with MEDIATEK Wifi 6 MT7921 Wifi card. Got to say its sucks. I get random ping spikes in every multiplayer game im playing. Ping rises from 30 second or 15 second intervals and returns back to normal.
    My Specs:
    Legion 5 Gen 6 15ACH6H
    RTX 3060
    16 GB RAM
    1TB SSD
    Ryzen 7 5800H

If I'm mostly going to be using it for lower end games and browsing, is it worth paying the premium for the WQHD screen? Wondering if the 3070 on a 1080p screen would be overkill
Jarrod never seems to place much emphasis on the WQHD screen being more standard in the 2022 version.. I wonder if he doesn't consider it a major selling point?

Webcam doesn't work anymore, the right click on the track pad doesn't respond sometimes unless pushed down hard and the speakers are blown out but it still runs okay and plays current gen games well enough (though you can cook a steak on it while it runs said games).
