Thank You....this is the only youtube channel that has the correct way of selecting the Party Mode or Stereo mode.A BIG THANKS....Subscribed and Liked..
We have two, and stereo mode is WAY better than PB, especially if listening to music and with speakers placed appropriately for the room. Soundstage is impressive for such small speakers. As others have noted, accessing stereo mode is somewhat of a PITA. First, be sure you are only connected to one speaker. I then get that speaker connected and playing, with the app open and it showing my speaker. Only then do I power on the second speaker, then connect the two with the PB buttons. At this point the app shows my speaker searching, then eventually shows the second speaker and this is when the PB and Stereo buttons become “live.” In addition to all this frustration (and the fact that you have to do it every time), my app doesn’t allow me to go back and forth between PB and Stereo after a short period of time. Even if I keep the app open, it will stop showing those buttons at the bottom and just say that I’m connected in PB mode (regardless of which mode I’m in). If I want to switch to other mode, I have to repeat the process. Great speakers; app and programming are pure 💩.
Great video! Looking forward to my 17th birthday because I own a white Flip 5 and I want a black one to pair it and have stereo or Partyboost! I love the Flip 5 already!
MegaSafetyFirst Yeah, better than one Charge 4 I think. I don't have the white one cuz that was the CS model and now I have a black GG (your two are also GG) and I now want a red one that always is in TL....
If you pair two together will it be stereo? Sorry for the newbie question. Love your channel. I’m looking for a set of speakers for a small living room to connect to my iPad/iPhone. Possible a inexpensive record player. Would these be good?
Hi, the stereo mode has to be manually enabled in the app every when turning in the speakers. I’d probably get annoyed having to do that to get real stereo. I think they do sound great as a pair. But if you are looking for real stereo I’d go with something else.
Make sure you only pair one speaker to the source. Start the app and then turn on the master speaker(The one that is paired to the source)wait for the battery meter to show. Then turn on the second speaker it should give you tone that it looking for the source(The slave should never pair with the source). Now hit the party boost on the master speaker then hit party boost on the slave speaker. You should see the option for party boost or stereo
You have to pair the them agin every time, which is not that much of a hassle in my opinion. What’s worse is that it defaults to the PartyBoost mode every time, which is kind of annoying.
@@bostonbanana The Flip 3 permanently remembers the stereo setting once set so if you use the pair with a blue tooth device that does not have the JBL app, like a Google Home mini, you can still play them in stereo.
This is where I found the FLIP5 on Amazon:

Stereo totally the winner! 😎👍

Is there a way to use stereo mode/ partyboost on Windows 10 PC ?
Huge deference, even though they were close to each other. Nice video man. Thanks.
I have 2 Ocean Blue Flip 5 and I prefer the Stereo mode. BTW Great Video. Keep it up.

Nice,
two of them sound great together! 👍
Did you see my video about the range that PartyBoost has?

MegaSafetyFirst I saw your PartyBoost range video and I really can't wait to connect two Flip 5s together! Awesome vid btw
Whats the difference between stereo and party boost?

I have 2 Flip 6s linked in stereo and from time to time the slave speaker gets some kind of skips/drop in volume for a fraction of a second...
Just got two new flip 5's and downloaded jbl app. Partyboost works but not stereo it's not even an option. So how are you able to do this?
Danny Reed same here

I have the flip 5 and I'm thinking of buying the 6 to connect them. Would you recomend it or should I buy another flip 5 instead?
I would go with another Flip5.
The JBL Portable App may not allow you to run both speakers in Stereo mode otherwise
Can I use two JBL as stereo without app?
Yes
I'm throwing a party in a month and I have the JBL Flip 5. Which mode is more suitable for the occasion ?
I’d go with the partyboost mode. Cannot imagine that people would hear stereo when everyone is talking 🙂
@@MegaSafetyFirst Right 👍 Partyboost is appropriate for Party and Stero for Home listening.
Will jbl ubgrate the older speakers with party boost like the connect plus?!
No they won't because they want You to buy the new ones with partyboost.
Hi Everyone. Does any one know if the Stereo mode can be enabled when 2 Flip 5s are connected to a pc?
For judging stereo effects it must have more than 1 meter between the speakers
Can you set up stereo without the app? Currently running this on a windows
Not that I know.
Does it remember the stereo mode and keep them paired or do you have to pair them every time?
You have to pair the them agin every time, which is not that much of a hassle in my opinion.

MegaSafetyFirst I can’t believe they still haven’t fixed it. I sold one of my flip 4 because of it. 😩

is the app required to connect 2 speakers together?
The app is not required. All that is needed is to press the PartyBoost button on both speakers.
@@MegaSafetyFirst i have a windows phone so i can't get the app
Ah, I understand.
In that case it will not be possible to use both speakers in stereo mode, since that requires the app.
Is it possible to pair a Flip 5 with say a Charge 5?
Flip5 and Charge5 will work together since they both have partyboost 👍
Speakers with Connect or Connect+ will work with those speakers though.
Can you make three stereo pairs if you got six of these speakers?
As far as I know stereo mode is only possible with two speakers total.
Any other configuration is party mode only.
I believe not. Stereo only works with 2 speakers.
Nobody realised that this test is meaningless? What microphone did he use? What speakers are you using to listen to this video?
Stereo wins...on connect + party mod wins this is itresting...🤔i hade to update becose stereo whos carappy losing signal upadete can make difrences
Stereo 👍🏻
Two gg?
Am i the only who when im in partyboost mode my jbl is lagging;
Track ID ! 🤣
I have flip5
Stereo mode does NOT work on Andriod do not buy JBL if you use Android, read the app reviews to validate major issues with JBL
I have Android Moto-z and mine works.
It works. Just shut up
=Android is garbage
Does not work properly with android
Sony is for Android and jbl is for iPhone
Is there a way to switch between stereo and partyboost (mono) without going through the JBL app?
How do i do stereo mode while connecting to laptop?
Don't have a Flip 5, but I'd wager you need some sort of app/program from JBL to properly do that.
