hello I love your videos they have helped me a lot with my Dragon fruits to understand the signs they give us to know what they need and what they require. but I have realized that we do not have much information about pests or beneficial insects for our plants and it is a topic that I would like to know a little more about. thanks for keep uploading videos. Saludos desde México
Thank you for introducing new varieties to our Dragon Fruit communities and the enthusiasm you share is mind-blowing! Your content to help us grow our own dragon fruits has been extremely useful. Please continue to share your expertise and knowledge always!
Amazing just picked up some orange Frankie’s from Oahu , growing on big island haven’t seen any varieties like this would love to get some skittles out here if can ! 🤙
Epic gardening brought me here :D Ive been watching your videos for tips to share with my dad, who recently got his first dragonfruit harvest. I really appreciate your content because it gives me a way to bond with my dad, which always isnt the easiest since Im a first generation asian american - sometimes the cultural/language gap can make things difficult. Thank you so much and keep it up
Hi. I recently watched an older video of yours in which you were treating fungus with different methods. Can you tell me the ratio of Bonide you used? Thanks for your great videos.
I think I heard that all asunta are self sterile and their ultimate goal was to make a self fertile. I'm still stuck on asunta 3 lol need to get the new one but probably still a while to go before there's enough cuttings for them to sell
Good morning, Richard… are you selling any cut from you dragon fruit collection? My dragon fruit planted straight to the soil damaged by gopher. I did not realized when the dragonfruit plant getting skinner, look drained, and the bottom not connected to the earth anymore. Sad but I have to start over again and try to put it to the pot.
I live here in Sn Diego, CA…. And, I am interest to purchase some of your collection. Just only a couple cut of different varieties. Thank you in advance.
Hey Richard, I own 3 hydro stores. I see you buy alot of fertilizer, soil, pots etc from hydro stores. If you want to get them at cost, let me know. Thanks for your videos. I just bought 2 yellow dragon fruit and gonna build my trellis like yours.
Hey Richard, I'm new to growing dragon fruits so I have a question about the weather for it. I made a mixture of black soil with sustrate for cacti however I don't know if I can let the plant outside receiving all the sun along with the rain. As of now, it is raining every two to three days and I usually move the plant under the roof when it rains. Is it okay to let it receive outside always and receive the all the rain?
I Have a question. If my dragonfruit cactus needs cross pollination but i only own 1 dragon fruit plant how would i go about getting pollon for my dragon fruits when they turn into followers because they kept dying.
Hi Richard how are you I have been watching your dragon fruit planting videos, it has helped me a lot, I also harvested a few dragon fruit this year. Thank you very much. can I buy few Asunta 5 and 6 Dragon Fruit Cuttings from you and send them to me. I can pay for the postage. Thank you so much 😊I hope you Reply me😊
thank you for your very useful vedios i have a problem with the flwoer bud it turns to stem, what are thr reasons، and what i have to do to stop this locaton alexandria egypt? temp 32:34 ,%humidity 60:85, normally suny
I really like the blooms on the 5 and 6, not as much on the Skittles. When will you be selling cuttings of the 5 and 6? Are you selling any pollen? Awaiting my first blooms--hopefully later this year--and would like to cross-pollinate if I get some. Btw, how long will the pollen last if properly refrigerated?
hi! you have such beautiful plants! I was wondering where you got your cuttings from in the very beginning? or did you grow them from seed? thanks for your help, love the videos, keep it up!!
Would you be able to tell me if my Dragonfruit is ripe? Lol It just gave its first fruit in 4-5 years of having the plant and I’m super excited! There’s a super huge one and I have no idea when to cut it off haha.
either when it starts to crack of the “spikes” or leaves on the fruit turn almost full of the same color of skin. another good way to tell is counting 43-47 days from the flower blooming, day 1 is when it closes
I have been watching your videos. And I am interested in getting some dragon fruit plants. Where can you buy the wild berry Skittles dragon fruit plant?
Hi Richard I just have a few questions about grafting dragonfruit. I just got some dragon fruit from red dragons ranch however the did not send me the fruit and I couldn’t find it anywhere. Would it be possible to graft a different variety of dragonfruit to it? And if so would it change anything about the fruit/plant? Thanks so much. Btw love the vid. Amazing flowers .
Where would it be possible to get a one foot clipping of this variety. I have the white flower white meat fruit. I would love to grow another variety. I’m located in southern cali, and they grow like crazy here.
How do distinguish the dragon fruits for cross pollination?🐉 🍉 On your videos, The Vietnam White and the Red Lavern look very similar. Other varieties as well look very similar. I don’t have a Yellow Ecuadora Polura to use in my country Bermuda. So are there any tips you could suggest to help me figure out how to know if I have the right varieties or a red flesh dragon fruit that can cross pollinate a white flesh? Thanks!
hi, just wanted to ask, i want to plant dragon fruit from seed, (i dont have cuttings to graft the plant since this is my first time with dragon fruit) and i know the time it takes to grow from seed to fruit, but just wanted to ask, do i need to let the seeds dry before sprouting them? and second, do you have any tips to succesfully grow dragon fruit?
Hey Richard, the flowers are stunning, especially Asunta 5. I have a question, when it comes to self-sterile varieties, is the taste any different depending on the type of pollen that's used?
Okay guys. I currently own 6 dragon fruit varieties: Delight, Vietnamese White, Bloody Mary, Nicaraguan Red, Hana, and an unknown white fleshed variety. I've been growing Delight, V-White, Nicky-Red, and B-Mary (from cuttings) since December of 2019. I've had Hana for 11 months, and unknown for 9 months. Yet not a single one has produced fruit since I've had them. (Not even a single failed flower bud. Just no flowers) I dunno whether I'm just being impatient, but is there something I'm doing wrong? They are thriving as well. (I live in the sub-tropical southern states of USA) Any advice? I can give more info on my current DF state if the discussion is done outside of youtube's comments.
Hi Richard, where would you recommend buying cuttings from in the United States? Also thank you so much for all your amazing content I have learned so much from you!
I’m looking forward to buying some from graftingdragonfruits but the link wasn’t quite up yet. You can also try Logee’s- they sell the American Beauty variety.

Can you please show us how to manually polllenize the flowers to bear fruits. Thanks
They look amazing indeed.
Are asunta 5 or 6 self pollinated? I'm in Florida, is it too hot here for them, and will cuttings be available?
I think I heard that all asunta are self sterile and their ultimate goal was to make a self fertile. I'm still stuck on asunta 3 lol need to get the new one but probably still a while to go before there's enough cuttings for them to sell
Just checked his list on Facebook.
Asunta 1 - Cross Pollinate
Asunta 2 - Cross Pollinate
Asunta 3 - Cross Pollinate
Asunta 4 - Cross Pollinate
Asunta 5 - Cross Pollinate
Asunta 6 - Cross Pollinate
They are self sterile, require cross pollination. Cuttings will be available this fall.
Are these Asuntas self-pollinating? The Asuanta 6 looks amazing. Great work.
