Should you rekindle things with a past love?

  • How do you transition from someone/people in your past life, when the connection still lingers?
I based this conversation off the movie Past Lives (honestly such a great storyline) and faced one of my own ‘past lives’ scenarios recently, and one I’m still trying to navigate.
It reminds us that we all have those “what if” moments and regrets. These questions serve as poignant reminders that even the smallest choices can shape our destinies. (Medium)
But when the past shows up with such fervor, should we pursue it? Honor it? Integrate it? Forget it?

An ex tried to come back into my life after 8 years. Naturally our minds gravitate to the good ol times but it can soon become a hard "come back to reality moment" as you spend more time with them. I had to pray for her from afar.

When you stop chasing life and start experiencing life as it is, you understand what life is. We came from Love (God) and that's why we yearn to have relationships with other human beings to fill that void. When you love everyone wholeheartedly, then you won't feel the need to chase what could have been. You will just appreciate that person for who they are. You will also accept everything as it is and won't question what could have been.

The past is past and gone. Let bygones enjoy life . Focusing on ones present is what is real . Ex is gone and the present is what is ones happiness

I agree, had this conversation with my sis about a past connection as well, and the what ifs wueh. Closure is putting that version of yourself in that coffin and nailing it is just the key to free yourself. A great conversation, we should give ourselves grace

I'm with Moss at 2:00 .... It's a no for me 😅. If it was meant to be, it would have been.
Our minds can play tricks on us, forming attachments to our imagination of the person rather than the actual person.
Moss!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 #Wisdom You're the kind of friend I need in life.
