I used to think demons couldn't be real because how could any intelligent being possibly choose, in full knowledge, to turn away from God. As an older man I've seen how normal people can give in to temptations despite knowing the full wrongness of what they do. The temptation to pride for an angelic intellect must be infinitely greater than anything our short time on earth could offer. It's ugly thinking how something so great could become so twisted and pathetic, but I'm becoming more convinced that these things have always been true.

So are angels given free will as much as us? What I’m trying to understand honestly is what is God’s plan for His angels vs God’s plan for us. Does God love us equally with His angels? Is there a hierarchy between us and angels? Why did He create His angels and for what purpose and etc.

@@briannaalejo9226 I'm not an expert on this but my understanding is that angels' free will works differently to ours. They do have free will but they were created with perfect knowledge and awareness of the universe. They won't ever change their will because unlike us there's nothing new you could say to them that could change their perspective at all. They have a single, constant point of view so they will never change their decisions. Their purpose is to serve God whereas our purpose is to learn to serve God before we're even able to make that decision.

@@briannaalejo9226 they're absolutely capable of it. God isn't a tyrant, if we were slaves to Him then nothing we do could truly be good. The same applies to angels. They had a choice, with perfect knowledge of what the stakes were. They were free to make a decision but were incapable of changing their mind once that decision was made. And some chose rejection. That's why pride is considered the greatest sin, because it's the root of so much destruction.

@guyfromaucklandnz if they can't change because of their perfect knowledge, why did God create the ones that rebelled? Seems counterintuitive to create something you know is going to suffer for eternity. Wouldn't it have been more merciful to have just not created them?

IDK why but this reminds me of protestants thinking that they're going to be "raptured" instead of having to go through the end-times (if they are still alive when it happens). Apparently, many think they're more special than Jesus himself who had to go through His passion.

It is vitally important for people to form themselves properly in the Catholic faith or they'll be led astray by the MANY bad CINOs floating around thinking they'll escape God's wrath. In fact, many of the issues we are facing in the Catholic church are said to be the first phase of the church's chastisement because we've allowed so many things to go on without correction and proper catechesis over the last 60 years. Thus the idea of being able to escape such punishment is absolutely a protestant man-made ideology.

That COULD be the explanation, but I don't think so. People seem to think demons can do no good. Of course they can (in a limited sense), but it's either they're on orders from God to call him father in that case, or it's a way to set father up for something later. The plain fact of the matter is that angels can only do good, but demons can do good and evil, it's just that their good would seemingly be done just to set you up, just to get you to think they're reliable. As well, what's important isn't the words he said (father), but how he said them. Any liar knows you can't just spew out lies all the time and expect to ever fool much of anybody. They intermingle truth in with it.
I think it's none too rare an instance where what respect the words seem to carry, the way they're said is something else again, such as a taunt. You can imagine ways you can say father as a word, and make it an insult instead. See? I don't think father was trying to recreate the event, and therefore wouldn't assume a demonic demeanor in the words the demon used, but just relay the information as normal conversation.

I had a Demon intimidate me in a dream when I was a kid. I remember it being really tall (head almost touching the ceiling) it was a grey slender build. In my dream I was in my house walking down our corridor heading towards my bedroom when I caught the demon halfway in my doorway, and we were just looking at each other, he had these cold black eyes and leaned in my direction staring at me with so much hatred it was so strong it was suffocating me. I was too scared to move or yell out for help. And I heard his voice in my head saying ''so, what are you going to do about it''. That question he asked me has never left my mind. What I find interesting upon reflecting on it now that I'm older, is after he said that, it kind of gave me my voice back and I felt his presence wasn't as suffocating as it was just a moment ago. I remember feeling a small amount of courage build up realising that he can't win if I don't let him.
That dream meant something. He was straight to the point. I never grew up in a religious household but only became a practicing catholic when I was 21. Just because he came to me in a dream, it doesn't make it any less real.

The former was the founder of Anglican Church also known as the Church of England (1535). These over 48,000 Protestant denominations in existence today and still multiplying only branched out from these two. (Wikipedia/Colliers Encyclopedia)

How do you know you have the truth when what you have is based only on self interpretation of the Bible (which your church doesn't own) as compared to the 2,000 year old Catholic Church's wherein it was the whole Church Council usually composed of hundreds of Bible expert bishops and church theologians (example: Council of Nicea in 325AD attended by 318) that would interpret it if the need arises?

When you refuse to follow the established authority.
The Pope, starting from Peter, is the Church authority established by Jesus Himself as these verses from the Bible itself tells us :
      On Peter's primacy:
JOHN 1:42 - Jesus on their first meeting renamed Simon to Cephas which means Peter.
MATTHEW 16:18 - Jesus founded His Church upon Peter.
MATTHEW 16:19 - Jesus gave Peter the KEYS OF HEAVEN, the symbol of authority and power.
JESUS SPECIFICALLY DIRECTED PETER TO GUIDE HIS CHURCH ON EARTH.
John 21: 15-17"Peter do you love me? Yes Lord.... Feed my sheep...feed my lambs" -
DOESN'T ALL THESE SIGNIFY PETER'S HEADSHIP OF JESUS'S CHURCH? VERY CLEARLY, IT IS!
      1. Peter's name was mentioned over 190 times in the New Testament,
      2. John's name mentioned 29 times,
      3. All other Apostles names = 130 times,
      4. In Acts of the Apostles, Peter's name was mentioned 56 times from Chapter 1 to 5.
      5. Peter leads in replacing Judas Iscariot in Acts
      6. Peter speaks for the Church at Pentecost in Acts Chapter 2.
      7. Peter works the most miraculous healings in Post-ascension Church, Acts Chapter 3
      8. Peter answers for the Church before the Council
      9. Peter metes out the discipline of Ananias and Saphira - Acts Chapter 5,
      10. The first Gentile Convert was specifically told to find Peter - Acts Chapter 10.
Mattew. 10:2-4 - Peter was mentioned FIRST among the12 Apostles.
Mark. 3:14-19 - Peter was also mentioned FIRST among the 12 Apostles.
Luke 6:14-16 - Peter was also mentioned FIRST among the 12 Apostles.
Acts 2:37, Acts 5:29, Mark 1:36 - Peter was mentioned FIRST and Judas last.
Mark 16:7 - The Angel of God specifically mentioned Peter's name.
Aren't these an indication of Peter's headship of Jesus’ church?
Bear in mind, that Jesus had established one and only church upon Peter - Matthew 16:18
Gave its chair heavenly authority (Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven) - Mattew. 16:19
And his church was "for all nations", which means "Universal" OR "katholikos" in Greek, which in English "catholic"
(Matthew 28:19 Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
And this religious organization that Jesus had established upon Peter (Mattew16:18-19)
is destined to last forever!, Until his return (Mattew. 28:19-20)
Only the Catholic Church has an unbroken connection to the apostles and to Jesus Christ.
A clear fulfilment of Jesus’s promise in Matthew 28:20 ("I will be with you until the end of time")
      Here it is:

This is only from the 1st Century.
Pope Francis is now our 266th Church Head
      How about your church history?
Who was your Protestantism/INC1914 Fathers mentioned in the Bible and martyred by the Romans?
Can you give me one name?
Where is its proof in the Bible?
Ephesians 5:23 " For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Saviour."
And what church this verse is referring to? Read:
Matthew 16:18 - "And I tell you that you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church."
And this Church is the Universal or Catholic one, the Catholic Church.
katholikos, the combination of two words, kata (concerning), and holos (whole). According to the Oxford Dictionary of English Etymology, the word catholic comes from a Greek word meaning "regarding the whole," or, more simply, "universal" or "general." The word church comes from the Greek ecclesia, which means "those called out,” as in those summoned out of the world at large to form a distinct society. So the Catholic Church is made up of those called out and gathered into the universal society founded by Christ.
      Very clear isn't it?
Does this verse say that Jesus will also save your self-founded church? Or, those tens of thousands others?
Give me the verse if true.

I was running after a cat. I was 3 feet away from a 5 foot metal gate.
Next thing I know, I felt this powerful force from behind me- as I'm thrown head first into the metal gate (only 3 feet or less away). My wrist was broken in 2 places & had a knot on my head.
At times, I have nightmares and find myself screaming.
While in a foreign country, the nightmares were relentless. I had had enough. I jumped up in bed with hands postured as if a sword was in them, and said, C'mon. I knew that I was attacked by demons.
I also went through the high volume ordeal, but only with a TV. Luckily, it stopped when I finally unplugged it. This happened twice, the second was right after the first, when I plugged it back in.
Due to my circumstances (living with a non-Christian), I'm attacked on most days, whether it's emotional abuse or physical. The point is, I am very aware of them. I see them in my roommate's eyes as pure hatred. Absolute pure hatred.
In my room, there are 3 crosses made from the sunlight - 2 in each of my windows and 1 on the side of my door.
You must rebuke them in Jesus' name. They will flee temporarily, but they come back. They always come back.
I associate this with picking up the cross and carrying it. Meaning, you have to literally fight for your soul. Not your life. Unfortunately, Satan and his demons can take it. But they cannot have your soul, unless you freely give it to them.
Stay strong in your faith. Take heed no one fools you, or carries you away from Christ.

To me, it sounded more like there was a problem with the electricity, and he kept plugging things in to the same outlet, and blowing them up, over and over. From his story about that, and his car radio, I don't see any reason to conclude that a demon was involved.
My first guess is that some liquid got spilled into his radio, causing a short circuit on the gain stage of his radio and power switch (thus no attempt to turn it off would have any effect), and that same liquid caused condensation on the windshield (perhaps by shorting out the heater fan motor and blowing wet air through the heating ducts and onto the windshield).
His other story about crazy people being violent sounds more like demons... but I'm just not inclined to take him all that seriously, from this clip and another one in which I think he said 'only priests' can rebuke a demon, and if anybody else tries, it's a sin. I'm not Catholic, so maybe I missed some nuance.

What I can speak on from experience, if you run into one of these things you will know it. I have dealt with people with many different mental illnesses, they don't emanate a primal sense of wrongness. The thing possessing that man and the actions it took are some of what he described here.

@@Knights_Oath It doesn't really matter, but a liquid short can evaporate or drain, and basically fix itself. Without specific details, it's impossible to even speculate in a useful way. I just don't see any reason to jump to the conclusion that it was some kind of demonic activity, with the information he provided.
In my car, if I leave the AC on a certain setting, sometimes it will run, when I start the car ('max AC' selected, but fan turned off). Why would I jump to the conclusion that it's some kind of demonic activity? Wouldn't most people simply take their car to the shop, to be checked out?
On the other hand, some people are sensitive in a way that allows them to be aware of demonic activity -- I once told a coworker that I felt like someone in the department was doing witchcraft, and she told me that she was teaching another lady how to cast spells. I hadn't seen them doing any of that, so it was just a specific sense. Those two situations seem entirely different to me.

Whatever it was, knew exactly the intimate things that frightened me to my core. When it next came to me, I struggled my way to Selma’s (the anaconda) cage. I placed her on my shoulders, and staggered outside to sit on my front lawn (3am, middle of summer). I have NO idea how long I sat there with her coiled TIGHT around me, and neither did she move -which was unusual, being a very active 🐍 her face, pressed to my cheek, I could feel her tongue tickling my face. I found myself relieved, believing that this had worked.

To the market ten miles away, the journey took its toll
And every day he passed a monastery's high cathedral walls
And it made his life seem meaningless and small
And he wondered how it would be to live in such a place
To be warm, well fed and at peace, to shut the world away
So when he saw a priest who walked, for once, beyond the iron gate
He said, "tell me of your life inside the place"

We fall down, we get up

When I was in my late teens or early twenties. I had ongoing sleep paralysis for months, it started kind of harmless, it gradually became worse, at first it was kind of just like, whoa what was that. Later I would just have a sense of dread or fear. As time went on the sleep paralysis events became worse. I could feel like a bad presence in the room and every night I would go to sleep, the presence would get closer and closer to me.
It was miserable to say the least. One night, when it was time to go to sleep again, which I was not excited about. I could feel the evil presences, because by this time it was more than one. So I could just feel myself turning and twisting from the mixed dread and anxiety, and all of the sudden it stopped, very abruptly.
I felt this warmth growing from within my chest and then spread to the entirety of my body, this feeling spread around me almost as if I was inside of a bubble. The feeling was this deep love, but it was also very distinct, it felt like this beautiful, feminine and motherly love. The best way I can describe it, it felt as if I was back in my mother’s womb filled with love and surrounded by it. But much greater than that. I felt like a child again, as if everything is taken care of and will be taken care of.
In this very realistic dream space, I looked above me and saw The blessed Virgin Mary. And I just was sleeping peacefully for a while when I saw her face with a kind of gentle upset or disgusted disposition and said “I don’t like how they just stare at you”. I looked to the side and outside of this kind of bubble, womb, or protective embrace that I was in. I could see like 2 to 3 disgusting things I couldn’t even describe them, they were kind of jumping around almost as if trying to find a way to get me, or pounce at me given the chance to. Oddly i was not afraid, I think more so because the feeling of love was so overpowering.
After that all of this vanished, and I haven’t had sleep paralysis ever again. Well with one exception, but that’s another story.

It happened to St. Paul in the Bible my friend, as a former protestant that's why I've learned to trust the church 1st, of course I always fact-check everything I hear, but I don't doubt nothing the catholic church teaches, but once u fact-check it u will see the truth..

    • @onlylove556
      @onlylove556 ปีที่แล้ว +6

The scripture is found in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, were Satan is attacking St. Paul, & he prays to God for it to stop, but God tells St. Paul No, that in his suffering is where Paul will keep growing in grace, 2 Peter 3:18; so he will know why he needs God, & will keep our love in Jesus knowing we can't do nothing without God.
Basically keeping us alert bc Satan never stops day and night, so we should never stop being obedient to God.
This is what helped me see the truth in Catholicism, when I was a protestant who believed in OSAS, but
I saw that ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED was unbiblical, & once I seen that, then later I realized that Martin Luther definition of Sola Fide was unbiblical to...
I've learned that the more we grow closer to God the more we are attacked by Satan, bc he's trying to keep us out of heaven. So it's when were not attacked is when satan is happy bc we must be living in sin, so its righteous to suffer while we are here, its letting us know we are doing something right, bc the enemy keeps attacking us because he's afraid of us.
There's a lot of people that will let it all go to their head thinking to themselves look what I can do, & look at the skills I have, when its God that gives us the gifts.
so in another way it's God's love showing us to stay on the straight path...
Hope this helps u understand why our leaders in the are always attacked by Satan.
That's why we must always pray for them, bc satan hates them the worse, because they're the Shepherds protecting the flock from Satan...

Great video. The only thing I would caution about is those videos with “demons”. Not to say it doesn’t happen like that (look at legion in the Bible, not at all subtle lol) but most often that’s not the case. Demons aren’t interested in scaring us or possessing people for theatrics as they are in ruining souls. The best way to do that (aside from convincing people demons aren’t real) is to tempt them away from God and to rely on themselves, money, and the world. That’s not gonna be through growling and convulsing, but through very subtle means. Like not praying in favor of something else “more productive” or saving money rather than donating and helping others. That’s the real problem we have to look out for, cuz the convulsions are way too obvious and the devil if nothing else is good at ruining souls

At the same time, being there and coming out of it changed my life, seeing flaws through that lens in myself was therapeutic.
I’m at a place where I believe all of it needs to exist in balance. And that balance is absolutely infinite...
I view hell and demons as the self correcting metric of reality toward the truth.
Eternity is a thing... but the state you are in in that eternity can change. Out of the furthest depths of hell in that *infinite will eventually come back to the truth...
