I struggle to forgive people who bullied me during my school years, to this day I can't talk about them without getting annoyed or angry, this is a massive eye opener, I need to let go. I need to confess this.

Yes. It can be especially difficult because bullies seem to seek out other children who are already hurting and inflict even more pain upon them, so many children are the victims of serial bullying.

Unforgiveness is a massive foothold for the enemy. It's so important to forgive! It doesn't mean you have to restore a relationship, but you do have to let go of what you think you're owed or the enemy will use that to twist you into a worse monster than the one that hurt you.

I need to constantly work on forgiving people who have enjoyed inflicting emotional and psychological abuse on me (this includes some family members). I say to myself "I forgive everyone who ever intentionally hurt me - physically and mentally". But I immediately question my sincerity of the forgiveness - "Do i sincerely feel total forgiveness for these people??"

The Story of Job tells loudly and clearly: you can do everything right and be beloved by God and still aweful things can happen to you. And all the friends who tell him, he must have angered God, or else it wouldn't happen, are shown to be wrong and bad. I am glad you found a more healing Environment and hope you will lead a happy and healthy life in the long run. How someone can do that to a child ... I won't ever understand that.

@@AzazelsWings what a difference I had in myself and spiritually when it finally clicked that I need to fully embrace my cross of chronic pain and deformity from having rheumatoid arthritis since childhood.
In my 20’s when I went into a bad flare and I had to give up work and could barely walk never mind do other things I got angry asking God ‘what did I do for you to give me this’ ‘have I hurt you that bad that you punish me like this’.
After reconnecting with God, repenting of thinking like that and getting the anointing of the sick my whole approach changed.
I viewed my suffering as redemptive - I tell God that I willingly suffer for Him and ask that my reparations be used according to His will but if I may ask that it could be used to soften a heartened heart/bring someone who strayed back to Him/help someone in spiritual turmoil to see His love etc
I’ve found I am much more capable of dealing with the pain now due to viewing it differently and that God can bring good out of everything if we just allow Him to do so.
So while people may pity me or view my suffering as a bad thing Gods hidden work behind my offering up of suffering as a sacrifice for Him can do so much good.
I still have days where the pain is just overwhelming and I’m in tears or close to tears but in those moments I ask Jesus to help carry my cross if for just a moment so I can regroup and refocus on carrying it and every time I get relief and I’m able to refocus on my promise to God to carry my cross for Him as a sacrifice for Him.

Absolutely as in the story of Joseph in the old testament: "you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." in Gen 50,19-22. God can turn whatever evil is cast upon us, physical or spiritual into blessings, that doesn't mean He sent or wants that evil to happen to us. We say "He allows it" because He is in control of everything, otherwise He wouldn't be God and everything is subjected to His will. Why He allows it? Because we have free will and because only He can bring a greater good out of it. We can hurt each other, nature can hurt us, accidents can happen, we live in a fallen (but redeemed) world and still suffer the consequences of sin: pain, illness, suffering, death, and all of these experiences God will turn them to our profit and the profit of other souls... in the end, but in the meanwhile we suffer. Jesus resurrected and the Kingdom of heaven is at hand but we are still walking toward that Kingdom and not yet in heaven. But in the end "'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed." (Rev 21,4)

The conversion experience taught me without a doubt that the devil is real and God really loves us. Dont live in your own fantasy world where everything is gum drops dropping from trees. Learn how to do without and you will become more joyfull and happy then you ever have been. You will discover for the first time in your life what real freedom feels like. Confession every month is a gift from God. Go at least once a month. It is a Healing sacrament. Also go to mass as much as possible and recieve the Holy Eucharist. Praying EVERY DAY FOR AN HOUR IS A MUST. You just cant say words like a parrot. When you pray YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT GOD. If you are having problems, stop, clear you mind relax and ask God the Holy Spirit to help you pray. You will be suprised. It may not happen instantly, or it can, but you will find your mind has stopped wandering.

How I was lifted out of there in the minute that followed a firm decision to end my life, was an undeniable miracle, but the inner battle that followed went on for decades. I have a quick way to assess whether anything is good or evil and it is to ask myself whether the action, word or thought affirms - as Love does - or does it negate - as evil does and often posing as a higher good. Straight forward affirmation and ceaseless negation coincide in all people, I saw the battle between the two in the eyes of men, never underestimate evil, for one it doesn't do party tricks, again, it's strategy is to present as good.

I'm sure it is not related to this wise man but the most evil presence I ever experienced ( it attacked me) was in the location of a previous St Augustine's orphanage. Years previous it had an evil person there posing as a brother. He was sexually perverted (possessed definitely)and now deceased. I told another worker there what I was experiencing, they said oh yes that's father so and so. I said no that is a pervasive evil spirit in this home. It was there watching. Influencing the young people there who became sexually sick one by one. It would hide up high in corners. It knew I could feel it. I have experienced many things but this was the worst, I can't even describe the attack as I don't want to give it energy.

You going to church and praying helped you because those moments of meditation took your mind off of the pain and helped you release the stress. You could have accomplished the same thing by doing a meditation in your own house a couple times a week. But I guess what you did worked for you at the time. Italy here. Hope my English is understandable. Question:
Lately I've been following the channel of Dr. Ramani, a psychologist supporting the victims of abuse by people with narcissistic disorder personality.
The problem: from a certain point of view the abusers are fully aware of what they do.
I mean that these are not people in psychiatric care or considered to be mentally ill.
From another point of view, we can say they are not "aware" of what they do in the usual meaning we give to the term "awareness"...
I would like to know how the Church views the behavior of these people. Are they accountable for their abuses or not? I'd like to have the "official" Catholic teaching.
Moreover, if there is a professional Catholic psychiatrist or psychologist experienced in this personality disorder, or an exorcist who collaborates with Catholic psychologists in this specific field, I would like to know the possible connections of the narcissistic personality with demonic influences.
If you could make an in-depth video, thank you.

      @@TboneWTF
As far as I know, the category of narcissistic abusers, except for a small percentage of them who physically abuse their victims, they are not judged as "criminals" in the American judicial system nor in the Italian system. Yet, these abusers destroy the lives of their victims in a thousand ways.
For example, they cause serious damages to physical and mental health of their victims, by prolonging the mistreatment for many years (in families, workplaces, etc.).
We cannot know what is in their heart - *only God can judge* - but their behavior is not Christian.
However, they hide their personality when they are in public with other people. From this point of view they know what they are doing, because they know that their behavior towards their victims is wrong.
On the other hand, their severe abuses comes from their narcissistic personality disorder. Currently in our society they are not called "criminals". They are considered more "sick people" than "criminals"... But there are debates going on (mostly in the US, I think).
This is one of the many reasons why it would be important for the Catholic Church to define exactly "what" they are. This would not be the first time that the Church officially defines a "disorder"... And gives behavioral indications, by defining which behaviors are sins.
Maybe it is the only real way to intervene on these people.
With the intervention of the Church, even the victims would be recognized and helped... As well as the abusers themselves if they ask for help.
Right now, as you will know, after the sexual abuses, the Church is speaking out on the *spiritual abuses* .
I would say that narcissistic abuse is very close to spiritual abuse…

Great point for discussion also @lishmahlishmah. Personally, I believe that, at this point in time, given our limited understanding of these 'personality' disorders, 'demonically influenced' or otherwise, that those displaying such abusive/harmful behaviours to others must simply be removed from our societies first and foremost.
Securely held in institutions, where they can do no harm to others, must be the first priority.
While in these places they can be treated and cared for. Only when they can prove they are not a danger to others (i.e., healed, or on treatment), should they be allowed back in to our communities and societies.
Of course, there is the nature/nurture debate, and what, if any, influence our imperfect societies/social environments may, or may not have had, on making them abusers, but either way, their ability to harm others must firstly be removed, by removing them and placing them in secure, and safe environments; where they can be cared for and treated properly i.e. of course, when we know what is to be treated and how it should be treated.
I realise on reading your post again that you will probably hold this point of view. Thank you. God Bless x

I just learned something about the torment that I endured in the military while serving during 9/11. We were at sea for 3 straight months and my division was always plotting against me after they're learned that I was part Jewish... They stole from me, they put my name forth for blame on systems that had nothing to do with me, and never let me sleep in peace to the point that I began to succumb to what I knew to be possession. I was sent into a "depression" that lasted several years and it took a lot of diligence to fight through that torment and get the control back.
There was a congressional investigation into what to place aboard that ship too! It was later described as torture.
I could never understand why that happened and why I was subjected to such a thing, I only assumed it's because people are inherently evil; however, after hearing him describe what it is that God was doing... I can see the bigger picture.
While I don't want to go back through it all, the diligence I had back then was exhausting and enlightening beyond anything that I've ever given through in my life. There were several times that I lost myself and have no memory of what to place like a bad dream... It isn't anything I'd wish on anyone ever, but there was so much clarity at the end of it all. As I began to understand what was happening, I began to see and understand how God worked in the world. I also understood how evil worked and to always be aware of it, it always comes at you each day.
I understood what "depression" truly is at the source and it's change at one specific point in your life! If you come to understand and identify that point at which you changed, you can correct that change! Don't take any pills, that'll prolong the problem and only mask the source for trouble later in life! By that time, you may forget the source and going back to remember it will be harder! The only pill I did take was a mild tranquilizer to help slow me down enough to let me sort this out. You have to mentally undo the point where you incurred the damage, the point to where your outlook on life turned. One you find that point you have to remember what it felt like before that moment and keep undoing the damage by forgiving those who caused it and correcting your outlook to what it was the week before. It's all response to the negative that you've taken on and you've got to undo these responses.
You'd best pray up because you're going to be fighting things that'll try to derail your progress... You'll have people try to come into your life that will only bring more problems for you, don't do it!
I honestly think my cousin went through the same thing and he did have a Jewish last name... I could've helped him, but mothers tend to hide everything about the struggles their kids go through. He took his life after the military and they said that he was back to normal! Nope! SMH... Ironically, his path after the military was a mirror image of my own, but he couldn't sort it out...

People see this as with items coming from foreign countries, but it is quite normal here as well. Money is cursed at the FED at printing, food is cursed at production. Pharmaceuticals, both prescription and over the counter items such as cough syrup, etc. It's well known that these sorts of drugs have a heavy occult background, usually revolving around their psych meds. And if one of the company's head chemists boasts that they were stumped on the formula for their new anti-psychotic until their spirit guide manifested through the wall at the seance and gave them a clue as to resolve the research problem, it really shouldn't be any wonder by people on SSRI's and other psych drugs go out and kill people within the first month of starting them.

It doesn't matter where you get the information, it's mostly hubris and unverifiable because it's compiled by church staff who are ordered to craft everything in such a way as to vindicate and promote their own religion. In fact, modern-day scholars who have been, over the last 30 years, demanding the original books and historical documents that the Vatican purportedly has have been stunned to find out that no verifiable documents exist for most of the Catholic church's doctrines. The Vatican was forced to admit many many times that the stories and doctrines they have in place are mostly made-up romanticized stories. The biblical scholar community(PHDs) is not happy. They found out that not only were they lied to as children, the church has been knowingly lying about almost everything, and are still lying after being confronted with the truth.
