      Anshu Kumari Hi Anshu! To be an astronaut you need a minimum of Bachelors and Masters degree in STEM fields (which includes various types of engineering). Being an Aerospace Engineer would qualify you to apply to be an Astronaut whenever they open applications for new classes of astronauts. One thing to note is that the eligibility requirements change every couple of years for the new astronauts classes. So I recommend that you follow NASA on social media to get latest updates on being an astronaut. They have resources, articles and interviews with past and current astronaut corps. 🚀✨ Dream big!

What other courses than phsyics, math and chemistry do you think are important to take before applying to college? Also, I’m a european wanting to study in the States. Was it hard for you to apply for scholarships, grants and/or loans ?

    I’m a 23 year old combat veteran, with a dark past of addictions of many kinds, I currently have a wife and 3 beautiful children that have witnessed me change into a dedicated man looking forward for what the future holds.
    I did some inner child work and remembered conversations I would have all the time with my parents of other worlds, and “what if others out there were like me and you talking about whether we existed”, and how much I would love watching any news related to space and NASA, I remembered waking up to the news that Elon successfully landed a rocket. I just remembered how excited I was every time I watched those things, yet I never realized, not until enduring hell, and got older that I wanted to do something like that.
    Now I am self learning and re teaching myself mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I have retained a lot of knowledge doing this, and soon I will be going to UTEP to become an aerospace engineer, as soon as I’m proficient in all of these subjects.
    I would love to see the earths horizon up there.

    Hi, I am a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student, what would you girls say is the key to landing an aerospace internship? What would you guys do on a regular day? I am honestly terrified of actually landing an internship, and just being useless or unknowledgeable enough to be of any help.
    I am also looking to pursue a Masters in Aerospace...and hopefully fulfill my dream of working on fighter jets. Do you have any tips for an average student like me to achieve a position like that?

    • @TheSTEMinistNetwork
      @TheSTEMinistNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sounds like landing an internship with a defense company is what is best for you! This will open up opportunities to work on fighter jets as a career after you graduate! Don’t worry about not being “knowledgeable” enough for an internship, as long as you understand the concepts taught in school you will be able to learn what they teach you on the job. Employers don’t expect you to know how to build/ design fighter jets when you start working for them, they know they will have to teach you, as you are a student. Check out our resume and interview tip videos to land that internship!

    What is the difference between aerospace system engineering and aerospace engineering?

    • @nathaliequintero2849
      @nathaliequintero2849 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Don Thomas! The difference is that by having a systems engineering background you have the ability to think in a more “bigger picture” and understand how complex processes integrate with complex systems such as an airplane, drone, rockets.
      The aerospace engineering degree by itself is also useful, but it’s focused most on the different components of a flying object like an airplane, rocket, drone, satellite; but with an aerospace degree you can work in design, manufacturing, operations, test flight, structures/stress, even in the airline industry. For more content in the field of Aerospace you can follow my social media platform STEM for Aerospace in IG or Facebook. 🌟✈️🚀

Due to my age, and having super power of ADHD (easily become extremely board but can hyper focus and perform well even under immense pressure) job security and flexibility is important. • @TheSTEMinistNetwork

      It depends what type of team they are on. If they are in an analysis team they might be doing a lot of analysis work using computer programs and likely spend a lot of time at their desks. If they are in an integration/ systems engineering type role they could be interacting with others a lot and spend little time at their desks.
