    In the final episode of this conservation, we start to put the painting back together. We utilize two types of bridging, remove the staples, and prep the support. With our final destination in sight, an unexpected sea monster reared its head. Ample clamps to the rescue, and it was smoothish sailing to port

      I'm always as amused as heck when he bashes staples. That's what our HS art teacher had us use to attach the "canvas" (aka bed sheet) to the frame when we made a wall-sized, class project painting. We weren't allowed to paint directly onto the wall so that's how we made a mural.
      The air powered staple gun was the first power tool I was allowed to use on my own, and I still remember the adrenaline rush from it... see that's why there are SOO many staples on some projects, staple guns are just fun!

    • @disgsteng6755
      @disgsteng6755 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@mwater_moon2865 there is a difference between some class project and professional art conservation. you said it yourself, you even used a bed sheet instead of normal canvas. the stakes are much higher when you actually are a professional, doing work for which your client pays you and being just a student, doing a class project.
