    I used a b16 water pump with a gsr timing belt.. 8000 miles now with zero issues.. I don't understand what your talking about with all those zipties to put on a timing belt? My gsr timing belt was a little tight but it went on.. Oh and those oil filter adapter plates leak oil like a mother fucker I been there and done that TWICE.. just buy the ls vtec oil line kit for $40.00 and save yourself $160.00 and T your vtec oil line off your oil pressure switch and your done with ZERO leaks... That adapter plate will leak from around the block and the plate and that Allen screw u tightened up will leak like hell too when that oil pressure builds up.

    • @FatGuyBuilds
      @FatGuyBuilds  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      we have zero leaks because I used "Right Stuff" it is a very hardcore RTV. the zipties help the belt from not popping off while you are stringing the belt on the engine all by yourself. if you have a helper to hold the belt on the cam gears then you dont need zipties.

    Break a timing belt on the side of the road bet you'll rip those covers off real quick

      most of the time breaking the timing belt will bend valves so you need to tow it home anyways.

    I just installed a Type-R head on my B18B1 block with the GE kit with the ARP head studs because I've been turbo for a long time and I just miss VTEC. Anyway, I did everything the way that you just did and it's leaking out of the passenger side rear of the block between the head and block. I can't figure it out. I used JB Weld over the 1/8 npt plug in the head and the gasket is facing the right way, so idk what could be causing it. I have it apart again so I'm going to take the head to a machine shop and have it checked.

      WHY did you use JB Weld? use your phone and wiggle it around up there to see where the leak is coming from.

      Did you find out where the leak was coming from ?

      Check cam seal, valve cover gasket probably leaking if you uses jb weld
