It so frustrates me when some Muslims make a big deal out of what some celebrity says or does, no matter how silly it is, as if he or she validates and honor their Islam. They don't know that it is Islam that dignifies and honors us and it's enough for us.

It's not something an idol worshipper will understand. Let us make a big deal for those who reason. For you keep your kneeling before your idol

@Mubarak Abdirahman - Being arrogant is in and of itself a great crime already, but being arrogant because of one's religiosity is even worse, for it corrupts and negates the humiliating nature of being religious.
When a non-Muslim acts arrogantly you can still cut him some slack and say "well he doesn't fear God and thinks of himself too highly", but what to say when a Muslim, who claims to fear the One in whose hand is his soul, that's much worse.
You have no right to call anyone idol worshipper, even if they are... for it is not yours to act as a faith police. You will not be asked for their sins, but you will answer for name calling.

Thiiiiis! I swear we have so little compassion and empathy for reverts, as is their journey after coming to Islam is complicated especially when they get opposition from family and friends and then to have to go through nonsense from us!
May Allah strengthen them to remain Muslims because it is uber hard in the judgment they face from us...

It’s good to remember everyone is on their own faith path and their own place on that path. If you are ahead on that path than others remember it is only by the grace of Allah and not your own righteousness. If you pray 5 times a day thank Allah for giving you that piety instead of thinking you’re better than someone who doesn’t. While it’s good to correct people humbly, it’s also good to remember that we wake up Muslims by the grace of God alone and not because of our own awesomeness.

    Assalamu alaikum Sheikh Tom.
Can you do Aqidah series so English listeners can benefit from you . Because you are very articulate in speech (Masha’Allah) so people can understand easily.
In Arabic we find very beautiful Aqidah series from Great Scholar. But I personally think it’s lacking in English language.
    Jazakallahu khair for valuable Naseeha.

Perfectly true and would add no change of name is needed to embrace Islam so why force people to change the names they were born with?

Sahabah had Izzah (confidence and prestige) we had lost it completely after 1850ies. We need to recover it, but we need to solve a higher matter to get back our izzah and that is complete trust in Allah. We say we believe but most of the time we act and think like kuffar. For us, there is no causality beyond Allah's will. If we don't return to see things this way, we will be humbled like how sahabah were humbled at battle of Uhud and Gazwa of Taif. We can't put our complete trust on anyone or anything other than Allah, Himself.

Muslims has one of the biggest teenager demographic.
i assume those are some teenager we talking about, They go for the meme culture (which is bad). i bet you that they'll get embarrased when they're older. this reminder is very important for our community.

I have been chastised by Muslims around me for having a Celtic cross on my leg. At the time of getting my tattoo I was not Muslim and really not even a so called Christian. The Celtic knot was of one of my tribes. This symbol represented to me following the last Prophet (as) I knew of, not Jesus the son of God. And really, now it is a reminder for me that I always believed in all of the Prophets (as) when many Christians around me did not. If I were able to have a tattoo now it surely would be of a sword. Because the sword that Allah (swt) sent down to our Prophet (saw) is sharper than any collection of words, however eloquent they may be. And it cuts through the falsehood no matter how one approaches it like a knife through butter. Alhamdullilah!!!!
People are so silly, don't you think? How they judge and yet call others out not to judge. What a human condition, what a human disease. And the only cure is La Illaha illa Allah!

Like or not. Us muslim generally become pagan these days. Too much idolised to muslim and non muslim influencer. The thing is muslim take advice mostly from internet. And so called dawah from internet is so pathetic. Firstly, dawah from internet just makes you self centred and your put your position to be praised, but all praise belong to Allah. Second, it’s insulting to Sunnah Nabi saw do dawah from internet while Nabi saw do dawah from person to person. In conclusion muslik change their way of life because of internet. Sad. Semoga Allah selamatkan aku dan umat ini. Aminn
