@@marieduekristensen6672 What the hell are you talking about? If you see it like this you also can't hold any animal as pet. People also started holding animals like dogs and cats YEARS ago and now? it's a normal thing to hold them now. Budgies, bunnys all these animals. Why not an owl? :- D
@@user-ky3ds9vb8c so your saying if I get a parakeet or budgie I should let it free even though they most likely would die from other predators instead of giving it love and caring for it sounds reasonable
Hi! Question I hope someone can answer - I've been taking care of disabled, wild caught raptors for 4 years now, feeding them every day. I never touch them or handle them, mostly just leave them alone. I've recently started helping them along with their glove training. Since they are missing one wing each, their balance isn't the best on the glove. The Great Horned Owl tends to lean into the chest of whoever is holding her, for extra support. She very clearly leans more heavily into me than other people who work with her on the glove. It's probably about as close to a "snuggle" as you can get from a vocal, hissing, wild caught raptor. Is this significant at all? Does it have anything to do with me being her daily caregiver and food bringer, or is it just a coincidence?
Keeping a wild animal for your benefit is NOT vegan, unless injured and unable to live in the wild. It is cruel to purchase from a breeder and keep them in a house where they're unable to fly or do anything that it should be doing in the wild.

So cute owl 😍😍
Idk about petting an owl on the back because idk what sort of mating related behaviors & triggers have, basically I treat them like I treat parrots.
thx for the little secret there :)
And what about very small owls? Like scops owl? It's scratching with fingers enough?
No, no matter how small or how big the species, the bond method remains exactly the same.
Ok, thank you :)
You're welcome!

Stop trying to make out with your owl
Watching this guy do this to this owl is annoying. I get it, I love owls too but that is too much.
Sad its inprinting the owls so they think they are humans. Thus destroying their chance to form bonds with their own spiecies. Very unproffessional.
