I also made good experience with 1. completely disassemble the joints, 2. filling the cavage of the ball joints with some thicker grease then 3. re-assemble the joints. Then the normally relatively big clearance is nearly gone, it is very silent, it prevents it from dirt and wetness, and it stays inside and does not leak out.
I have spent a good deal of time cleaning, Lu existing and adjusting the linkage like this on my 36B, and it’s still pretty clanky. The ball on the stop-arm is a little rough looking - do you think replacing the ball and/or stop-arm would help? There’s no slop on the trigger-side of things. It all seems to be coming from the rotor side.

That's the hardcore way!
My Thayer bass sounds like this, but quieter. I did something similar to what you did.
Good Information. Thanks.

Edit: *lubricating*, not Lu existing.
Yeah, they can get worn out to the point where they can't be adjusted any more. Sounds like yours may be that way!
The linkage I have sounds like that but noiser 😂
Fix it!
@@AidanRitchie I followed your instructions and they sound quiet now. Thanks a million!!
@@bassbonejon9429 yay!!
Your tech will be able to remove the slop at the lever shaft.
Probably true! But not a big enough deal for for me to pay for it, I think. If it were worse, yes!
New intro? a bit awkward
You're awkward!
:P
@@AidanRitchie I guess it just takes some time to get used to.
@@jessecohen4517 Honestly? I just forget what to say usually.
