Nice little video,
I used to call the SRV just that, for many decades,
But i believe i read somewhere that it is pronounced SR5
can anyone confirm that?

Originally, Yamaha called it SR-5 (5 was actually the Roman numeral printed on the side of the sled). But I think so many people pronounced it SRV that Yamaha changed it from SR-V (5) to SRV (vee). Compare pictures of 1980 thru 1982 with 1983 thru the end (1990?). I am willing to bet though that the old diehards will always refer to it as SR-5 😂
