Yamaha snowmobile collection Canadian museum

This Yamaha snowmobile collection is in Western Canada -- a private museum. The extensive collection represents the first quarter century of Yamaha snowmobile manufacture. The "two-stroke" era. Both consumer and racing models are on display.

Wow there are very few Yamaha people that have . So impressive a collection. That they walk past . The 1978 SSR Without a comment . Some consider the most collectable and best looking snowmobile ever made . Very impressive collection

A beautiful collection of sleds and he's wearing a classic Yamaha jacket, perfect. I remember many of these sleds when I snowmobiled in the early to mid-'70s; the GPX with its iconic white, black, and read paint schemce was a quick sled in their day. I've haven't ridden in 40+ years, so the difference in size between the early circa 1970 sled and the 50th anniversary sled, wow!

83 Srv 540 was the sled that made me fall in love with yamaha, rode it like i stole it

You sir have an amazing collection the 82 srx 500 is my favorite sled there. I'm from Pennsylvania and also love my old yamaha's i have 2 69 sl 351's, 71 sm 338, 73 sr 433, 75 gs 300, 78 exciter 440, 78 srx 440, 2 84 phazers, 87 xlv 540, 92 enticer 2, 92 venture gt, 95 phazer and few newer ones I love the yamaha 2 strokes but not the 4 strokes

Wow what an amazing collection. Over the yrs I’ve had a lot of those sleds. The 78 Srx and Exciter were one of my favorites as well as the early Srvs. Great to see you keeping the Yamaha name alive! Also seen a 81 Invader in your collection which was one of my favorites as well.

Only if Yamaha still made good sleds ,when Yamaha went all 4 stroke that when it went all down hill. Today Yamaha is more motorcycle company then a snowmobile company just saying

@@matthorvath7562 yeah and there sleds heavy and suck. Like I said it more a motorcycle company then snowmobile company . I do have to say they make pretty good side by side but there not as good as CamAm or Polaris

@@funtyes1970 huh? Sleds are four stroke, and yes do weigh more than two strokes. Skidoos 900 ace turbo weighs 30 lbs less, but 98cc's smaller, so very comparable. The Yamaha sidewinder 998 is also the fastest sled/motor you can buy. 350hp on stock internals.
The new Yamaha R max beat Polaris and can am in almost every category, plus build quality of Yamaha.
Yamaha is more of a music company than a motorcycle company. Irrelevant like your statement. Yamaha builds dirt bikes, ATVs, sidexsides, jet skis, motorcycles, car motors, etc. Saying they're more one than the other is something that can change annually.
