the unknown pack is prophecy, although I didn't play magic when that series release, but the chinese on the pack clearly says it is prophecy lol first card: you may discard a card and an island to cast this card, counter target spell second: i think it is as long as it is untapped, it gets +3/+3 3rd: tapped the enchanted land, it deal 1 dmg to all player and creature. Rare: X and blue, tap: discard two card, you may return x target creature from play to its owner's hand. those are traditional Chinese card btw :3
The reason for the sword and shield on the Portal set is because that particular set, outside of the core set (this is before the annual core sets started) was designed to bring newer players into the game, and make it easier for them to acclimate.

@41:56 Well, you actually DO know. If, as you mentioned, you bought these separate from a box then you know that modern ones are all mapped. You shrink your chances of pulling something good to only the really old packs.
