I don't think anyone sees beyond the Sapphire to know why this is really good news for Open Boosters. If you're going through packs in a box, it means there's a really good chance there's a black lotus in your box because of the way the print sheet is laid out. Same with Taiga, Mox Emerald, and Ancestral Recall.
Pitch S I wish it was from a closed box But it was a loose pack that I bought back in the day. I am hoping I have some of the other packs from that box I got it from. I usually bought three at a time so crossing fingers.
openboosters aww that's a bit of a shame that it's not from a box you own. I don't think I've ever seen a beta/alpha lotus opened on film before. It could be a first if you pull it off.

I've looked and never seen one. I've seen a bunch of great vintage pack breaks but never a lotus. A sapphire is definitely up there for best recorded breaks.

As soon as your hands came forward with gloves on, i had to pause and thank the creator for being protective of something that could be a major find. I seen so many people open packs from Alpha and Beta with out and found out that they got something awesome, just to find out it can degrade hard from just touching the card. Again thank you.
This is the first guy that I have seen get an awesome pull that I felt actually deserved what he got. You can tell this guy loves Magic, appreciates the card and is not just some spoiled rich kid that wants to have the best of everything. Congratulations on this beautiful Mox Sapphire!
It was also really funny because it sounded like you orgasmed when you first saw the card. Don't be embarrassed. I would have been worse. I probably would of almost passed out, woke up, realized I pulled a Beta Mox Sapphire and then run around my house naked outside and pray that the neighbors didn't notify the police.

My grandpas corner store way up north has entire boxes of these cards from the 90s with so much dust on them. At least 4 boxes. They say magic and bronze just like these cards. Are they worth anything?

I was able to fond a fallen empire box a few years ago for 100 bucks, I got a couple of the most valued cards... high tide and dark ritual. I think they were and are worth just a couple dollars but I felt the same way. Not because they are worthless or worth anything, but they are timeless

Hey, man. I just want to say that I really appreciate you posting your open boosters videos. Excited for you that you got that extremely rare Mox. Also, I've read some of the comments that people post on here, and I'm really sorry people have to be so rude when there is absolutely no reason for it. I want to thank you for putting this out there for people to see. Just wish people would act like adults, and not be so critical.
bets boosters are numbered. you can look up what's in the packs. no one sells packs with anything good. person is making a video either with 1) fake pack re-sealed with mox in it 2) bought it knowing full well saphire was in it. but either way this is not some unplanned opening.
I was around when beta packs came out. they were hard to find as the game got popular and stores did not order a lot of boxes. It was also not known as beta then just magic the gathering and this was the second printing.
Most of the time you got trash rares you would average maybe 1-2 mox or a lotus per box. maybe 1-2 dual lands too.
The financial part of magic is what ruins the game. It's like a pay to win MMO. Anytime a MMO is pay to win people flip out but MTG can sell you something just as worthless as digital products ( card board) and people love them for it. never figured that out.
Want to make magic a true skill based game? let people use proxies in tournies with sleevs or ditch the card rarities and let people buy tournament cards for use in tournies .. new set comes out and you pay 100$ for 4x of each card. They would still make a ton of money and the game wouldnt be all about who has the biggest network of friends, who is friends with a card shop owner, or who has the most $ to waste on a standard cycle.
+Chris Grooms First Beta boosters are not numbered. That just stupid, since all the bar codes are the same. I bought these in 1993, you have only watched one vid. Good job on finding one of the more expensive openings. I can tell you only did a half-ass search on the subject based on what you have written. Second, To help you out, there is a way to search beta packs, you press down on the white part moving the cards up to see what the rare is. That is how you search. Not by numbers on the packs. These are my packs and I have no reason to search my packs. I am just opening them and they are not for sale. Hope this clarifies what your were reading online. Please watch all 34 beta booster openings if you going to say that I only open the best rares.

and also every card game has a pay to win part in it, it is what you get for having real product, but even then my $25 deck can beat a $25,000 deck, and also he packs are ment for drafting, not stander play

Yeah more like legacy or vintage cash tournaments but the smart thing to do with it would be nothing the price will always go up on ABU cqrds like that.

***** you get 36 rares in a box of 36 booster packs, some people just buy the box set to get all the different rares, but that can cost quite a bit of money.
He needs gloves because the card he was handling is worth upwards of 1,000 dollars and he doesn't want fingerprints on it.

I think it's great to see that someone was so happy to open up a mox (a blue one mind you) and actually be happy about it. I'd much rather see a genuine happy guy rather than some guy ripping hundreds of boosters with a no expression.
