From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The series also stars Terry Crews as Sargeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti and Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle.

Same here, we never see Jake laugh quite like that, and it had a different sort of chemistry than usual /pos (also, side note that I've always thought that IF Jake/Andy Samburg/both DOES have ADHD, the putting his hands on his face when he was laughing was like a happy little stim, and I just keep thinking about how adorable it is : ) /gen
I read somewhere that it was scripted but on that take it was so funny that Andy laughed for real 😂
Yep Andy was really laughing in the scenes but he kept the characters and it was so good they use it 😂

Fun fact, he is actually breaking character. The entire "older" bit was improvised by Joe Lo Truglio so yes, that is infact a genuine laugh.
Yep u right! Most of the show is improvised and Joe (Charles) improved a little here so Andy’s laugh was real!

My favourite part about the "oldest bags" cold open is that Charles probably picked up Rosa and Scully's lines, the ones that didn't explicitely mention arrests. So he thought that Rosa bedded an old woman that 'fought' like she was 20 and Scully did it with two 50-year-old twins and just accepted it as facts. Like "oh yeah, Rosa's bi and Scully is a pervert, it checks out".
