Love to see Sire expanding their lineup with a guitar like this - happily unexpected! Guitar link/Info - Sire X10 - sweetwater.sjv.io/xk0Yqd Sire X5 - sweetwater.sjv.io/rQAY15 Enjoy :)
If you haven't gotten to them yet, Sire is also after Ibanez, LR Baggs, and Godin's lunch all at once with the G and GB series. At half the price of a Godin...
Saw this pop up and my jaw dropped when it sated that it had only gone live minutes ago. So glad to see you back brother. You look/ sound great and I hope all is well in the world of Darrell Braun Guitar. By the way, the guitar is nice too. I have always wanted to try a full neck-through - but I could do without the Floyd and I find the headstock a bit boring.
If you want a decent neck through with a fixed bridge, find a used Schecter C-1 Classic. I’ve had one for years and love it. They’re available for around $500 on the used market and they’re easily worth it.
It a relief to have you back .Your a inspiration to all musicians especially guitarist. We all always have something wrong is good to have positivity clean interest and motivation. Thank you darrell.
Hi Darrell! It's really nice to see you back again! That guitar looks gorgeous. By the way, I think you should try Harley Benton guitars again, they've released the ST-Moderm Plus, and it seems like they're quite good. I'd like to hear your opinions about that guitar!
Wow, that's A LOT of guitar for 1300. I don't know how someone could argue against it. Thanks for making us aware of it. And excellent comparison. Much appreciated.
Recently picked up a Sire L7V in black and it's crazy how good this guitar is for the price. Sire is the real deal! My wonderful wife even told me to just get a Gibson Les Paul with P90s since I've been into them the last few guitars I've bought. Considering this is my 30th guitar, I just couldn't justify spending $2300+ for the Gibson even though we can easily afford it. Mind you I already own a 2016 Gibson Les Paul standard DC LE in heritage cherry sunburst. Why buy a $50 hammer when a $20 one will do the job. I prefer bang for the buck over expensive guitars that I tend to baby so much I don't play them enough.
the headstock almost reminds me of 90s era Carvin inline headstocks when they pulled away from their 80s era pointy headstocks ...which were awesome and I was sad to see go away.
The cream of guitar reviewers! Wow does Sire have a huge selection of guitars! Love the look of these...fret markers look great. Same guitar and neck with quality HSS, locking tuners, decent tremolo would be my choice.
What a good guitar! I have to try it next time. In comparison with other guitars, with the same specs, the Sire guitars are cheaper and better. I played a T7 and the playability was great. I will check out the X10. Ibanez has a similar looking guitar, the RGT1220 PB-ABS, it a bit more expensive. A comparison between these two would be interesting. They have not used the exact same materials. Great video as always! It's good to have you back!
I don't know if you noticed or if it matters, but your Sire has a 5-way SUPER switch installed. This is a great option for the future, since this switch makes many combinations of wiring possible. I'd give the X10 an A+ rating on the electronics -- especially with the Duncan JB/'59 pickup layout!
Lots of really cool additions to their lineup. I ordered the T7TM (thinline "Tele" with 2-P90s in Rosegold) from Sweetwater in March and finally got it in September. Just like my T7, this thing is a flawless tone monster. Sire has it going on. I'd love to have their L3 "LP Jr" model, too ($399.00?). I'd take a J5 "Jazzmaster", too. Oh hell, just give me all of them.
Where in the hell have you been???? No regard for your subscribers? Good to see you're still alive. Back to work. Please forgive me for my comment about being away for a while.... I now know what has kept you away for the last month and a half. Playing this beautiful guitar in private...
Unfortunately I’ve heard touring musicians have had less than ideal experiences with neck throughs keeping stable between climate changes. It may not be an issue for bedroom guitarist but it a bummer that the additional sustain potentially comes with inherent stability/tuning issues.
Love that this is a true superstrat with locking trem and 24 fret access!! Definitely love the 80's style construction! By the way, have you thought of comparing your Yamaha Pacifica 612 to the new Pacifica Standard Plus?
Great review. FYI the Charvel Pro Mod series have rolled fingerboard edges these days. Had a Fender American Ultra Strat (that I returned) which overlapped with a Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas HSS and both necks were very nice. Grab a Charvel for review!
Couple of things: - the trem arm on the neck-through is from a lefty model - the Special Floyd on the bolt-on is anything than a "branded" model, the Special is cheapo licensed version, stay away from it. - the neck-through apparently has a Duncan JB in the bridge, these are not really designed for clean jazzy tones and tbf nobody buys a neck-through superstrat to play smooth jazz in the first place. - both of these are essentially Ibanez RG knock-offs, for the money of the neck-through you can get a new Ibanez Premium or an used Prestige. Hell, if you want a bolt-on superstrat, get an Ibanez RG550 Genesis.
Isnt the premium 400 bucks more expensive? both seem to be made in indonesia so it comes down to features. With the sire you get hard case, neck-through, compound radius and fingerboard rolled edges. The Ibanez gives you Dimarzio's which idk if they are superior to Duncans, you get bolt-on, Edge-zero II tremolo and Gotoh tuners? It seems to me apart from the brand and the ultra-thin neck you get less value for your money with the Ibanez.
@@luigigetsu I'll take an Ibanez, who is a company renowned for making quality guitars for decades, over the latest TH-cam Hype Brand, that paid every guitar influencer to promote their products.
@@greekfreak1980 Do you know they make these guitars quite often in the same factories? it's like people that buys PRS over Cort just for the brand when both are made in the same CORT factory just with a different logo. At least the RG550 is made in Japan if that's something you care about apart from the logo on the headstock.
At this price, I would have also liked to have seen grover locking tuners just for easy string change ups. Otherwise killer specs and sound. Good to see you posting regularly again.
I love the look of these but I'd much prefer a hardtail. Someone once told me if you don't actively want a trem you're better off without one, and after a couple misses he was completely right.

Hello Darrell! Nice to hear from you. I'm happy you're ok. Greetings from Portugal.
Darrell glad to have you back. I believe you are Canadian. Does Sweetwater ship to you directly?
That neck thru has sustain for days!

@@helloyu6270 Never heard that. Too bad they are all Floyds. Cheers
@@rocinblues my 1989 Carvin ultra is a neck through and never found it to have good sustain or a good tone
