  • In this "comparison" video, I am riding two of my favorite early 1980's muscle cruisers - Honda's 1982 CB900C Custom and Suzuki's 1983 GS1100GL. Though these bikes were both designed to compete in the big - bore cruiser class, they each have a unique feel. Come along with me to experience the sound and feel of early 1980's muscle!

Hey Jon, I'm "VERY" interested in this SUZUKI, I've had the Honda 900C, as I've told you, the Suzi is kinda like my XS11 w/out all of the fairing/bags shit on......... let me know, I've thought about looking/buying a Suzi 1100 GL/L, something with the "SHAFT", I really Love the Shafties.... I've had so many of them.......

I like the shaft drive bikes as well. I've put a lot of work into the Suzuki to get it to it's current state of tune, cosmetics, and every day driver reliability. I would consider offers but I'm in no need or hurry to sell.

CB900 for me, always loved the dual range but the Suzuki definitely has some appeal, thanks for the comparison

I am pretty much a Honda guy, and bought another one yesterday. But i have owned couple of Suzuki's over the years, but i would say the suzuki is a better looking bike, and the quality and features sounds like its top notch .

I'm spoiled by the Suzuki's gas guage, gear indicator and 1100cc motor. It is also very easy to work on.

Good video Jon. On the Suzuki what's the feel of riding a 750 vs. an 1100? Thanks.

Great question, and one I hope to answer in an upcoming video. I have been working hard on two 750s. I am finishing up a 1979 Honda CB750K and a 1982 Suzuki GS750E currently. Lots of good comparison videos coming soon!

my brakes, on my '81 were of the "SINGLE" caliper, you've got DUAL caliper,,, better, big difference... my '81 XS 11 is way BETTER brake wise,,, (than single caliper).

I'll post a video soon of a brake upgrade to the 1982 CB900C. I installed Spiegler front brake lines. What a difference!
