You Sir, Are Amazing! Thank you so much for posting such a detailed step by step video on installing this mod! When I first found it at the K5 store. I didn't add it to my cart because I simply wasn't sure if I could install it correctly. Now that has changed after viewing your video. Much respect to you and your level of patience while filming this video mostly while using only one hand. Great job bro!
Wow..! Not sure where you got the "MonkyMofo" nickname, but your patience, politeness, and considerate regard for your audience while working on such a limited area with a considerable degree of complexity is commendable; my hats off to you for providing such a detailed step-by-step DIY video with careful recommendations. Excellent job...! Thank You...!
MunkyMofo is just a nickname I used for a long time and it stuck. I'm also the admin on OptimaForums.com, which is where I share all this helpful stuff I make. What can I say?...I like helping people! If you haven't seen the forums, be sure to stop by and say hey!
MunkyMofo I am an OptimaForums member, in Afghanistan right now, but getting ideas on how to mod my Optima further, when I get back home. I wanted to send pix for the ROM contest, but I got too busy to participate, but you will see my car in Jan or Feb 2015... :-)
MunkyMofo hey I have a kia lx 2013 and I want to swap out my fog lights for the day time running led fog lights. is that possible.....I also want to add the factory navigation system with backup camera is that possible

This is great help. I am going to try not to mess up my car trying this. I do have a question.. I am looking for an led shirt knob and some interior lights. Do you know a legit website i could find these items?
Great work! but if you don't mind, I have question; when you were disassembling the shifter, did you come across a sensor or switch or any part that is replaceable due to tear and wear? I ask because the downhill and traction lights are coming on in my Kia, also the shifter sometimes get stuck in parking on which I have no clue!
Hiii , h r u I have kia cerato 2011 I have a problem when i switch the gear to sport mode ( + - ) mode Did not work But it works from shift on wheel I want to know where is the problem ?? Thanks alot ...

In which position you put new knob? The stick should be pushed down ?

Curious... I wonder if it would work with my 2014 Forte LX?!

Will this knob work for a kia soul 2015?
Hey very nice video
Where can I get such a product?
You should install man
Yea You are talented sir
Nice video looks like a great mod.
🔥🔥🔥
MunkyMofo do you know if it would work in a 2013 LX?
Quick question can the new shift nob work with the old shifter? Just wondering that?
That's what I want to know cause wat he just did was alot I'd rather pay somebody
I dont think it would. Since the sure harness is made for the shorter one. And that would defeat the purpose of the entire job to keep the same one
So can you put the new knob on the old metal rod? That's a lot of work for a short shifter and the knob boot wouldnt be so tight with the longer rod
Great work my man.
Sweet DIY video. Thank you for making it for us! :)
I would like to buy one. Is still available?
is there RIGHT handed drive available for this knob ?
Not that I'm aware of. You'd have to ask David - sales@k5optimastore.com if he can get his hands on one
You THE man!!
Yeo just know your the best
thanks for the video
You're very welcome!
Does this new Knob make the car go any faster ?
Of course it does. Why do you ask?
