Great video! I seen two others, one said pull intake manifold, the other loosen it up. I was able to follow yours and completed it with no issues. Thanks!
Awesome video! Hands down the best video on how to replace this starter. Removing the bracket under the starter was a game changer. The job would have taken way longer without that tidbit of information. Thank you!!
That was a a good video...slightly sluggish pace, but you took the time to walk us through the logic of avoiding unnecessary removal of peripheral components. Much appreciated, thank you!
Just followed ur tutorial with success, took under 3 hours. Definitely reccomend having wobble sockets on hand. Could have taken 1.5-2.5hrs (or less for a seasoned professional) with the right tools.
Much better video the plate thing was very helpful. Also I would like to inform you guys to get a oem starter the replacement ones are longer and not fun. I just ordered the oem to finish the job.
The process is practically the same. Just watch through this video and you will have the required skill to take it out with ease. Good luck with the job ahead. 👍
That is interesting. Normally for that to happen that frequent there might be low power going to the starter or a bad connection to it or there's a faulty or insufficient engine ground or the engine is starting to lock up. Those are the only possible causes as to why the starter would burn up that often. I would recommend you take it to a car electrical technician to have a look at it.

Excellent video. Followed your advice and tied back the coolant line/throttle body with zip ties. Did the whole job in about 1.5hrs. Cranked right up!
Excellent work.
I don't know anything about cars but i did this all on in three hours! Great video

What kind of flex sockets are you using?
Hey Jeff. You can use any regular flex socket you can get. For my case I used a snap-on flex socket tool. All the best with your car project :)
Thank you 👍
You are welcome.

I search 2012 I get 2013 2019 every year but the year I need
Sorry about that. Although 2011 to 2015 Kia Optima models have the same engine design.
Save your money on buying a starter! Try starting the car up in neutral. Thank me later!! Something with the security system starter reset.
That is brilliant. Thanks for the tips!
Why are you whispering?
Lol, I had a cold.
