Dear Sir, I am intrigued by your set up- very inventive, and with a nod to Emersonian self reliance. Ultimately, your client should have just paid for a custom made stock. Easier in the long run. Best regards, Perry P., SoCal, USA

    Great video.
Can you tell me what wattage your lights are?
    Thanks Dave

150W halogen Mini floodlights only because they were cheap. Infra red 250w would be great, except you have to watch the job more closely, be careful about how close they are and or wrap with oil soaked linen to protect from scorching…

I started watching the video just because I have 693 and I could find many videos on it. But, once I started, I couldn't stop until I finish it: VERY NICE work ! Chapeau! BY the way, do you know why very few 693 on the market ! Is it a good gun? A last question: How many times per year should I oil my stock with wood oil? Thanks :)

Excessive use of Gun cleaner soaking into the end grain of the wood and wicking its way through the stock, eventually it will soften the stock causing it to split. I see loads of stocks like this each week

Yep 👍 why oh why people don’t remove the stock to spray the action clean!?
