Thanks so much. My wife and I were ready to get a new one, like my buddy did not long ago. I used a miniature set of straight brushes (for cleaning carburetor jets I got from Harbor Freight) and a toothbrush to loosen stuff, and it was so gunked up I couldn't believe it. Now it works like new!

I just set my coffee maker up a few days ago. I have used the k cup side twice- once with a bought k cup and next time used my own coffee and made coffee with the k cup basket provided. The problem is both times I chose the 10 oz. setting and the coffee was so weak!! And bought k cups are usually strong… I had a Black & Decker dual brew…. K cup was always hot/ good… regardless of oz choices. Any ideas? Thank u

Dad’s got the same model. Red clean light is not on but all three cup size lights are on and that side isn’t working. Hopefully I’ll be able to clean it tmrw and it will work but thought I’d see if you had some insight. Thanks!
If screen is stuck on OPEN HEAD, clean the micro switch - I just solved this problem. Open the brewing head. On the right side you will see a small switch that clicks back when the head is closed. It should click back and forth easily. But over time, coffee grime will clock this. I used and paperclip to scrape out what i could while pushing the switch/button back and forth. As soon as you have it cleaned, pushing the button back will cause the screen change you're expecting to see with the head closed. This should be in the troubleshooting section of the manual.
I will definitely try this for the pod side, but my carafe side is not brewing either. We have tried to turn it off and on and unplug it when it has not worked in the past. Today neither side was working. I wonder if you have any hints for this situation. How can both sides be clogged at the same time?
Hi, I have Cuisinart Model SS-15 that looks exactly like your 12 -cups coffee maker, I have to Jigle the pot after starting brewing to make it start dripping, also I noticed that the filter holder on mine is not lined up with the overflow notch like yours. I tried several ways to line it but you can not change it. I can see clearly yours is lined up. Also when filling the reservoir I can not empty all the water from the pot. I appreciate any suggestion
I tried this. It works fine at first but by the time we get closer to the end, there are multiple streams of water. I want to know if the grey hinge on top had anything to do with it. It came off and a tiny plastic piece on the hinge part broke off. But I snapped it back into place. (It's grey at the top of the single serve.) I also wonder if buying a new part will help it, IF, I can find it.

For those that have problems with the k cup exploding at the top" foil ripped". The needle down in the k cup holder is dull. Try pushing the k cup down in the holder piercing the bottom of the plastic k cup first.
I pushed up on the silver handle at top of the K cup side and I can't get it to go back down due to a piece of plastic attached to the silver handle. Can you help me ❤

Yes I do, its called coffee grind sediment. If you use a reusable filter and not a coffee filter then little fine particles get through the fine mesh screen that is the reusable filter. The only way to avoid sediment is to use a #4 Cone Paper filter and not use the reusable filter that comes with the machine. I just received one of these as a wedding gift two months ago and it was working amazing! All of a sudden on the single cup side the needle doesn’t punch the hole for the pod anymore and the hot water builds up and starts spitting everywhere because it has nowhere to go. Plus it makes a loud whistling sound like a kettle. Have you heard of this problem? It shouldn’t be clogged up after two months we mostly use the carafe side. Cuisinart said they are going to send me a new part for the top. I hope it comes with instructions. I’m very disappointed.
If you watch this video I show you how to remove the top needle assembly, that is probably what they are going to send you. I have heard of the bottom and top needle being clogged like I show you in the video, but after people clean the needles then the machine works just fine. Let me know what part they send and if you need help installing it.
Hi, Some pods do not work with this coffee maker. I like Hills Bro coffee and the machine do not poke the top of the pods. I have to manually do it or remove the rubber piece on before closing the top to poke it.

Just went out to run a K-cup. Pressed the 6 oz selection pump started to work then went into fail over mode with all the K-cup lights were flashing. Manual has no troubleshooting for the control lights flashing. Tried the needle clean but doesn't appear to be that. 12 cut carafe side still works. Has anyone else experienced this failure mode?? I prefer to use K-cups when possible.

Just found this in the manual If the 6oz, 8oz and 10oz buttons are flashing together, your unit has overheated. Please follow the instructions above to clean the piercing needle and resume use
My wife has assigned me the job of finding out why the other side (12 cup side) isn't making hot enough coffee. She says it comes out warm to slightly hot. Any clue as to what's going on?
The instructions that come with it describe cleaning. The problem is that the needle plugs up way to often. It's a design problem. And the coffee splatters when it comes out even with clean needles, making a mess. With a Keurig, the coffee comes out in a smooth stream.
Do you mean the coffee maker side is not making a pot of coffee. Is the switch working when you press it does it light up blue? I think Cuisinart has had a problem with the switch. I would give them a call 800-726-0190 Let me know how it goes.
Have you unplugged it for about 30 min and plug it back in. Put water in it and run the single serve side with no k cup in and just do a fresh water rinse?
My three lights are flashing and I can't get mine tov work no matter what I do. I've done everything and the lights continue to come back on. I'm going to try to make a warranty claim tomorrow.

What if the floatie floats up and then floats back down and stays down? Which then makes the 'add water' light stay on.

I had arrow toward front and turned it to match up with other arrow and now it won’t brew pod

Be sure the K-Cup holder is facing the correct direction. Match the arrows.
