Good on ya mate, its so cool to have a Father and Son trip away from everybody. Im 54 and brings back vivid memories of a young fella and my Father taking me away Hunting off the gun aswell as Fishing with him. ❤❤❤ Nothing beats it. And the very reason I myself have an attraction to explore, Hunt & Fish aswell as being alone out in the Wilderness of Australia.
Well done on another great episode. What I enjoyed about this one is you highlighted the Awesome places at Cape York and all accessible with a well set up Van and Fourbie. Merry Christmas to you and your Family and looking forward to your adventures in 2023.
Love watching you guys even though it was a rehash of an old trip I still get to wonder off into your world and enjoy the country I love. Cheers guys and have a great Christmas and new year
Yessss!! Love seeing this. How good are Jayse n Katie, The Temple, Port Roads, Chilli Beach and Memphis ofc! Played a tune or two with Jase myself on my visit. Ripper time!
Watched each of the 4 parts and viewed this one as a refresher. About to start plotting on the map for Aug 2023. Can’t wait!!! Thx for all the great camps - we’re definitely taking the “chicken track”. ❤😂
Hey guys, that was the best Cape York video I have seen. You highlighted some fantastic stops and features of the Cape, unlike others that show the dust and dirt then Bamaga. Well done.
What a fabulous holiday and your family is so amazing! The kids have no fear...just lots of fun. It's certain you'll have the merriest Christmas where ever you are.
Thanks guys another great clip. Always looking forward to the next clip. Thanks for all the clips this year. Hope you all have a great xmas and new year.
Brilliant video. One of the best I have seen to date about caravaning the cape. We have done Gibb River Road with a camper and would now take the van...all be it much slower. So we are thinking of taking our van...slowly.
Cooktown and surrounds aah, I recognise the caravan park, we loved the place. Good enough fishing at the Cooktown jetty. Snappin handbags, we love it, the turtles were special for us.
Hi guys, love watching your adventures and I often wonder how all the nicknames came about, keep the content coming and don’t change the format it’s great❤
Justin Bec And Kids have a very Merry Christmas and a festive and prosperous New Year... Love this channel and crave only a few and this is one of those few ... Thank you for You guys xx
I tip , Little Charlie Bear is going to be the Wild Child Having two older Brother and following what they do to have no fear. GOOD ON YA LITTLE CHARLIE BEAR , your a right little champion. 🤙👍
Awesome drive n stopovers mate. You absolutely rocked it and the adventure for all is amazing. My dream drive is to cape york from Cairns.,Hope it comes true. But you’re the best mate. Love ya!
I watch your vids every time they come out because I really enjoy them, but i always forget to say, "You need to turn up your audio track". I have to crank it right up to hear yas, but then the ads come on full blast. Other than that, keep up the good work, and enjoy ya christmas :)
@@TripInAVan all good. What program do you use to make your vids? And nah, no control over the ads. But what you can do once you sort out how to increase your volume, play your vid along side adverts before you export so that you can get an idea of the level they should be at.
Hey Justin and Bec, Have a great xmas and new year with the family. Keep posting the awesome videos thanks for sharing your adventures in this great country of ours. Stay safe and happy travelling.
Generally on a slab of scotch the first 4-6 steaks from the chuck end which is the end that was closest to the camera will be the best as it gets further along seems to get tougher
Merry Christmas guys, loved this one. I liked the touring options for the Cape. I did Tele in 2014, however, that looked Epic. Loved seeing the Toyota Autophix on the bench during 1770 episode 🇦🇺
@Trip In A Van - RoadTrip Australia Series Its something we all need to carry, but hope we never have to use. Loving the channel, thanks for the reply.
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing adventure so much to see and do 🙌💌🎄 merry Christmas guys wishing you a top one 🐨🦘🤶🏻🤩Karen from Port Macquarie NSW Australia 🇦🇺
Beautiful country i run the pub in Lockhart river for a couple of weeks and lived in Aurukun for 5 years. will have to take the wife for a look one day.
Merry Christmas to you and your family in advance. We have been watching your episodes and loved watching the whole of Australia 🇦🇺 through your awesome videos. It's amazing and very informative. Your videos are concise and provide ample information on the area and about the surroundings. It's fun with information. We would love to meet you guys during our trip......
Great channel, great insights. Nice getting out on the hair pin bend. Someone may have already raised but, an alternative method, given that particular situation, is to reverse up to and beyond the bend (note the 'track' past the bend). Unless the land owner prohibits access.....😳
Hola TIAV family Great video again, enjoyable to watch and exactly some infos for our trip. No not to long…. At least for my feeling. Merry Xmas to you all Hope Santa is coming to you with some nice presents… Insta 360 x3 for the camera men would be the ducks guts !!! Happy and safe traveling into 2023… Cheers from Beijing in the cold..
Hi Justin. Just saying, @ 5min and 22 sec, where you are pulling the motor out.. if you were to move the swivel support bracket bolt forward (towards the top of the motor) by 3 inches you would be able to slide the motor out and lower it down without hitting the top of your canopy a bit easier.. luv your shows..
Merry Christmas to the lorimer family hope you guys have a good Christmas 🎄 day next Sunday 😊 hope santa brings your kids jack Billy and Charlie bear what they have asked for
Thanks for another great episode and great insight for me as we will be travelling to the Cape from Perth in May-June 2023 - Justin not sure you can give any travel tips, like the best fuel top up places you found and what spares did you carry for the cruiser in particular - dust issues did you change or clean your air cleaner filter or just the socks on the snorkel - thanks in advance (200 towing 1.5t camper trailer is our set up)
Your video are so inspiring. It Makes me just want to pack up and go. Its a Great family you guys have. Living the dream they say. Not sure if you have or not but make a trip down to Tasmania some day.
Hey mate i'm a bushy from FAR NTH QLD and the Gulf. So you know for future reference. Its frowned upon to put your hat on the table and is considered up in the bush as BADLUCK. So DONT DO IT AGAIN. I've watched a few of your videos but this was one of the best. The editing, music, drone footage and images are just superb. Beautiful! I was secretly hoping tho that the comment about not letting your wife pack up would come back and bite justin on the butt! Maybe it did with the lure getting stuck.....
another 10/10👍 ?: why aren't 5th wheel caravans more popular? They are so much safer to tow and better off road. (bumper hitch contributes less than 1% of their mass to traction/steering/braking) ??????
@@TripInAVan We're taking delivery of our first off-road caravan in April, so we will definitely by re-watching your vids to get oall the "good oil". love it

I'm curious - I loved the dad and son trip away together, especially the part with the turtles at night, but if the crocs love feeding on them, how do you know which beaches are safe and which ones aren't? Or don't the crocs make it up to that island?
@@TripInAVan You're a braver man than me! I'll go diving with just about any size shark, because you can intimidate them and make them back off, but I don't mess with crocs. :)
if this makes you feel better my son and I went on a weekend camping trip and I forgot my clothes bag hahaha so I only had the shorts and shirt that I was wearing .
Hey, I was wondering how you guys enjoy those places in Cape York with insects in mind? How are you handling mosquitos (dengu) and sandflies? Are they a problem, especially with the kids and you guys always staying near water? Are there times in the year where they arent there?
Hi enjoyed video but you mentioned helping turtles get to the water It’s a big no no walking from nest to water sets their gps so they can find the way back to the same beach If you place in water may never find way back and nest
Hi guys quick question for Justin, I want to run an induction cooker when camping so what setup would u recommend for me, I need a secondary battery system setup in bt50, yr advice and knowledge would b much appreciated thanx oli
