Great trip, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Robyn 😊
great travel diary ... love the text notes and the tips... congratulations
Cheers mate 👍
We only made it to Archer Pt, loved it and have been back since. Stayed two weeks the first time but only five days the second time as we couldn't get a spot out of the wind. Well done you guys!
Such a beautiful spot!
Parts of this vlog had me peeking through my fingers! What a trip! Have seen several trips to the tip vlogs ( my son has completed / I would have liked to) this is one of the more interesting for armchair travellers (and the can/ could we ). The camera mounted on the van was a great idea- interesting. Happy safe travels Jan Adelaide (ex FNQ)
Thanks Jan 😊
I like your vids, just wish we had more natural sound to listen to instead of the music. Also would love to see your van as we have a Tanami+ coming soon :)
Nice vid! Just wondering what tyre / rim options you had, and what mods (if any) you made to the suspension to be able to tow the van? It looks pretty stock, so nice to see someone out there without a seriously modified Y62 (I think)!
What date did you do the PDR north bound?
Bro how do you make sure that car won't get stuck in the mudd while crossing the swapm on road ?
Just a quick question. As someone that is expecting my TI-L in July, do you run on 95 or 98, and do you add octane additive if you can only get 91 while remote travelling. Loving the content btw. 👍
G'day Mark, we only run 91 and it runs fine. You do feel that little extra performance from 98 but unless you can carry $50 worth of additives then you'll have to settle for 91.
I was actually chatting with Graham Cahill from 4wd action yesterday and asked him when he was going to put a blower on the chopped y62 and his response was he can't run a supercharger on 91 which is all he runs
Half my caravan has fallen apart doing a few hundred kms of gravel with mild corrugations how did yours go
Bugger! Being an offroad van, running the tyres pressures to suit and driving to the conditions we haven't had any dramas
@@capitaladventurers I must have a dud van then
Our oven screws have loosened a little but that's all we've really experienced. We have expected a few screws to come loose here and there as no van will run smooth on corrugations but We also take precautions inside so that no doors can come open during travel (fridge, cupboards, bathroom doors)
Hope you can get your van fixed up and back on the road asap mate 👍
@capitaladventurers my fridge come out, microwave, inverter, oven and diesel tank was just hanging on by a thread.
Bugger! I'm going to run my gopro in the van in sections of the Gibb to see how rough it gets in there.
👌👍
Thanks mate 👍
another 1d107 dragging a large van over the hill and thru the daintree rd ffs
