I think you cut yourself short here Remi! Edited way too much. We need more/longer videos. Tell the whole story , drag it out, I promise we’ll watch it!!!!
I think it’s a perfect balance for people who watch ek hunting videos and for someone who’s never seen video like this and for them to actually wash the whole thing. But yes, personally I would love a longer video and more of the story.
I live in the Southern Yosemite-Sierras. Congratulations on this hunt The tule elk of Pacheco-pass/Diablo Coastal mountain range exist in a special piece of old California You deserve a great hunt like this Remi - congrats
Great film Remi! So cool that you ended up taking the same shot that you practiced so much for. God is good! It's a dream of mine to hunt with you some day. Not sure how that would even happen, but I love your passion for the hunt. You're cool, calm, collected, and take your time to see the details. Very cool hunt.
Always excited to see a Remi video get posted...also never seen someone shoot a wrist strap with the trigger on the cheek side of the string.... interesting.
Dude there's easily 10 more minutes of tactics and hunting you could throw in here this feels like the Matthews shorts Great hunt great film epic bull keep hammering and stay gritty
awezome Bull Remi congratulations , I agree lets have more of the full journey of hunting , all the ups and downs , new hunters have to realize its not easy and its hard work but can be very rewarding and enjjoy the full journey , great video but would like to see less editing , God Bless and thank you for sharing ,
All it takes is lots of money to get a landowner tag. I was more than lucky to draw one of three bull tags for one of the Owen’s Valley units back in’98. Great that you got the opportunity to hunt one.
@@BigT209I grew up with a chance to hunt elk every year in Utah over the counter the entire state. It’s something my brothers and I looked forward to every year. I took my son hunting when he was 8 here in AZ that was the last and only hunt with him. He is now 24, never created that fondness for it I had. They wonder why new generations aren’t hunting. They have found other things to do.
Do landowner tags have different season dates? Because the only archery bull tag for a Tule Elk in California in August is in the Owens Valley. But he said on the podcast this was in Northern California so I’m confused.
They're called private land management tags in CA. It's stupid what they call northern California. Almost the whole state is considered northern CA haha
CA only gives out one nonresident tag per year (that’s right, only one nonresident may hunt elk per year in the state through the regular draw). That would make Remi one lucky guy, so this was probably an expensive private land management tag. Also, I’m sure he did not have max (22) preference points (which you pretty much need to draw). Why not just tell us if it’s private so we can know if this is attainable?
I wouldn’t bet on him not having max preference points he talks on his podcast about building preference points in areas from the time he was a teenager or early 20’s. How do you think he’s killed so many sheep?
There’s private land hunts all over the internet if you want to spend the money. I don’t understand how drawing a tag would be so difficult if it’s just a matter of wanting to spend upwards of $50k.
I believe tejon ranch / tehachapi are Rocky Mountain specie. The landscape definitely resembles the tejon area. He must be in a northern zone. Definitely doesn't look like Owen's valley that's desert to literally 12kft+ alpine.
@@BigDoeJ424there's Tule, Roosevelt and Rocky Mnt in CA. Tehachapi doesn't open until sept. He must be in a northern zone or somewhere in the Owen's valley. But Owen's valley is predominantly desert like until you start going up into bishop.
@@BigDoeJ424 Tejon is strictly Rocky Mountain Elk. When I last inquired it was $70,000 + for a trophy bull. I liv less than an hour away from the ranch.

Agreed! A hunt is a journey, not an edit. Show all the grit!
I agree, give us a story.

Yes was a awsome video
I 100% agree pedro anpuero makes perfect leght
We need these to be longer! Love the content.
Agreed. I love the longer form content from Gritty. Combine that with Remi... Winning combo

Congratulations on this hunt

MAKE THESE LONGER PLEASE!!! Love every vid you put out
CA is the most underrated state for hunting and fishing. Some really good opportunities there.
Short and sweet! Cool!
Another great film. Congrats and thanks for sharing!!
Great hunt as always, more hunting videos, please you are quintessential hunter with true talent!
That’s fantastic. Congratulations. The hunt of a lifetime for sure. 👍👍
Congrats Remi such a great bull!🇺🇸🏹
I would hate to be any big animal with Remi and a new Mathew’s in the woods with me !
GORGEOUS bull! 🔥
You're the man Remi! What a life
What a great bull, and a very nice film, congratulations good sir.
That's better than a "good bull." That's a great Tule. Excellent shot, great bull, beautiful country...
Awesome stuff! 👌 😊
I was fortunate to draw a tag in '06 and got an 8x8 with double drop tines.

Awesome!! Good job Remi! Way to take all 3!! Now off to Mongolia!! That would be cool!

Yup! Wish states would stop giving land owners tags they can sell
I’m 42 and have 14 elk preference points and will probably never get drawn before I’m gone

My buddy and his son both drew a tag in California the first year they applied. Go figure.
Been putting in for lottery elk in CA for a while now. Fingers crossed 😂
Remi, you gotta hit up my home state of Pennsylvania, or my resident state of Virginia for an elk hunt. We have some nice ones in both places.
What a shot!
So cool!
New Mathews! 29.5 or 33 is it?
Looks like the Tejon ranch
You’re one of the best in the game, editing sucks but we need more. Helluva Tule Bull
Definitely a hard tag to draw. Congratulations! I’d love to know what part of the state you were in
It only cost $10 to enter the lottery for an Elk tag in Kentucky, if you win tags cost more for non residents but lottery price is the same.
Do landowner tags have different season dates? Because the only archery bull tag for a Tule Elk in California in August is in the Owens Valley. But he said on the podcast this was in Northern California so I’m confused.
Yes landowners can set the dates within a certain timeframe set by dfg

Why do all of your videos get posted and reposted? I watched this video yesterday but it just got posted? It happens every time.
Where in California was this hunt….Humboldt, Mendocino, Del Norte..?
My guess is tejon ranch
@@victor.randolphno Tule on Tejon
My guess is Mendo since he mentioned Northern Ca on his podcast
Am I the only one here that has a slight man crush on Remi. . . Man I wish I could hang out with him sometime. . .
Uncle Joe buy you a Tejon tag?

@ looks like tajon to me. Def private ranch vibes. I’m not sure about species.. I thought it was mostly Tule in Ca except for northeastern.

Great Great tula
Private?
I'm soooooo used to watching hunts that are 30 mins to over 1 hr long. come on bro feed us a longer video!
I almost hit a big Tule bull in my truck, crossing the road the other night less than 10 minutes from my house.
Tell your editor the music is too friggin loud!!
This had to be one of the worst filmed and edited elk hunts I've seen. Felt like it was thrown together in an evening.
