The whole backwards compatibility thing puts Sony in a precarious position, to make the PS4 backwards compatible the architecture would have to be similar, and being that many complained about it, they picked the better option.

ps2 was the best console. why? ok i will tell you all - no games were half finished, due to the fact that most players didnt have internet connection, the devs had to finish the game as much as possible. nowadays games are half finished, because they release patches online... yet u still pay full price for a half finished game. rip gaming - games were good, good ideas, good detailed good stories good gameplay, shit was innovative. now its copy paste and sell, ahum cod bf and even gta. - the community supports this behaviour... rip fucking gaming. i really hope 2015 will be better, but judging on how the gaming community is happy with non finished games, and how they tell people who complain to shut up and buy the game. i doubt it will be better.

Remote Play works even if you're in other cities as long as both PS4 and Vita is connected into a fairly good connection, your Vita technically becomes a handheld PS4.
ps4 is going to be easier to develop for, how do you determine DLC will be first for Xbox One? I also think that you should do what you feel is right, get the system for you, whether it be for gaming or to be connected to your family.
