I currently have 2 Vitas, launch 1000 OLED, and Japanese Aqua Blue 2000. I play the 2000 more because I love the color and slimness. I’ve also amassed over 100 physical games for it. Pretty much have every game I’ve wanted for the system now.
I’ve been quite obsessed with the vita and also been trying to save up money to buy it. Seeing this is reassuring that I’m making a good choice. Nice video.

But if this video doesnt say I recommend a 128gb micro sd card with VITA2SD adapter if you're planing on modding and downloading a bunch of games. I made a Doc and about the 30+ games i wants to play including psp and some ports takes about 54gb.
I have 3 vitas. One thats not modded that i actually bought games for, one thats modded, and one that i may mod later. Guys, its worth buying & it aged nicely
Just here to add that currently mid way through 2024 I’ve seen the market value of used 2000 models priced between $200 USD to $350, and sell for around those prices. The first 1000 models (OLED) used were selling $50-$100 more. New sealed 2000 models were/are ridiculously priced sometimes at $1200 USD, but typically sold at a market value between $650-$750, and the 1000 models priced at $1500 selling at $750-$950. So I’m not sure where TH-camrs are getting these lower price figures from. I’ve even gone as far as look up current market evaluations for 2024, and have seen graphs of upward trends for the PS Vita prices, and sales averaging $750 USD for new; $300 for used (models were unspecified.)

I remember getting one of these around launch 12 years ago before the PS4 was even announced. I never really got to play the must have games unfortunately I really only played shovelware launch titles. It was a good system if you were into JRPGS and Visual Novels at that time though.

I've had mine since the christmas after it came out I think? I've always loved it, I had two that came with me to college that I used to use often with different mods and games on them. Now that the scene has died down I really don't use them anymore but I still love them. I've noticed a huge surge in people making videos on this thing the last 6 months or so, and I really wish more had been around since the beginning to really talk about it. One of the weirder consoles that never got the love it deserved, and while there are so many better emulation devices these days I'll never get rid of them

Get a scuffed one and reshell. Ez. Yellowing LCD is just a defect which will affect all vita screen eventually, Fortunately its cheap af to replace the display and shell. Replacement screen and shell will only set you back and extra $30-50 which is cheap to restore back to mint.
I still use my PSVita (there are still games that I haven’t played on it. As soon as I finish playing them I plan on hacking mine). My PSVita recently got a corrupted memory card issue, which I had to format my memory card and lose my current progress on one of my games. I have a few scratches on mine and did an amazing job to keep it pristine condition. I honestly hope PlayStation makes either another portable handheld that can let me play all my purchased Vita games in the future. (Or they can just add all the vita games for ps4/ps5 compatible.)
Prior to hacking your vita, while it's still supported, you can upload your save game data to PS Plus if you're a member. If not, with a hacked or unhacked vita, you can download QCMA to transfer your save files, images, videos, etc... from your vita to your pc and vice versa either through a wire that supports data transfer or over wifi.
I still miss my Broken Phat Vita (Invizimals the Alliance Bundle + 8gb Megapack codes) 3G-Wifi model. Year 2015 my cousin toss it on solid ground, had sign of life but black screen, Given to mom to repaired on Year 2018 and still never been repaired till now.
You should be able to order a new OLED display from aliexpress. Since you say it's a 1100 model, the screen should fit fine, but keep the original parts in case you need to swap a few pieces for fitment.

PS Vita is slow this era and it is an iconic Sony device that was sadly ignored by the company itself to focus on PS4. Happy to buy this one at Akihabara Tokyo Japan, a preowned 1000 Vita OLED. More trophies for me! Woohoo!
