I watch some of the garbage truck videos on You Tube and it absolutely breaks my heart to see so much quality stuff just get destroyed - smashed, in the back of a garbage truck (chairs, wood tables, dressers, and a lot of clean, useable sofas). It hurts my heart that people just throw these things away, rather than rehousing/repurposing them. God Bless!
Paul I think everyone has wheelbarrow garden beds in there yard now day's. With some holes and dirt mix you can put your garden anywhere. Best mobile planter. Also I see your always looking at shoes the VA gives shoes and socks , free scooter when needed and pays for your kids college. What good comes out fir a service person. Those couches are in great shape with really clean upholstery! Glad you went back to pick them up. The couches you see that you think are leather are likely bonded leather which doesn't wear well. Great scrap haul too.

My grandma always called a couch a Davenport. I used to work with a fella who sold furniture for years and he explained to me the difference between all the different names. They all represent a different type of couch!
That machine you said was for concrete Paul was a Whacker Plate used for Landscaping for example for compacting Sand down before you lay down slabs or Driveways for example 👍🏻
Quite a scrap day today. Amazed at how much heavy steel items they left for you. That last item off the truck was compactor for packing ground under foundations, pavers. sidewalks. Used before concrete but not after. It'll sink! :)

What I do like is when you snap your fingers and the load is perfectly moved forward. I think you are getting pretty well known now with your bright and shiny new Silverado. Great truck I might add. I've got one and I plan to buy a newer one, too. You do good camera work, too. The camera work is very important. Your video is very crisp and clear, too. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Larry. I put a lot of effort into trying to reduce shaky footage and I film at 60 frames per second instead of 24. I think it makes for a crisper video. Also the audio, I put a sound muffle on the speaker so you don't hear wind noise. And sometimes when I edit I will reduce or increase the volume of a particular clip so it's not too irritating
Paul, you make me crazy every time you stop to pick up items and never let the tailgate down first. I am pained and feel anxious with you as you struggle with weighted objects in hand and then fumble around. I really enjoy your adventures, just know you make me crazy at times! Just trying to help you look out for you, and like you, I'm "mature" like you, and almost exclusively do things alone. I mess up myself, not perfect, but continue on, as you do!

The funky lamp that you took the cord off, it had mid century lamp shades they are round and have strap around edges. The shades are valuablele and you can sell them on line. I saw this in another one of your u tube. Video

I like watching your videos, on this particular trip you're at the junkyard and you are unloading everything you have when your truck. those 8 to 10 pieces of the route iron with a design on it ,it look like it has squares and triangles on it ,I would have repurpose those and put them in my garden, use them as a feature wall. I know you have to make your money, so you have to do what you got to do. have fun God bless.

Even with the four or five loads they pick up they are getting overloaded and it's approaching winter time once again. You need to carry some moving quilts for your furniture moving. Makes it easier to slide.

If you open the range door all the way there are clips on both the hinges. Push those down and the the door will come off when you try to put it back up.

You also have to examine the nooks and folds of the sofa for bed bugs. Lift it up on end to examine underneath as well.

It's a compactor for compacting sand or dirt prior to putting in bricks and pavers
if it was a runner, worth 300 minimum.
The last thing off of your truck was a Plate Compactor,, Used for compacting dirt and or gravel,,, :-)

The wheelbarrows also make good planters. A unique way of recycling into something pretty.
