I watched this episode and once the pay out came through I thought wow that is more than I make at a “ regular “ job. I make about 90 dollars a day before taxes. That is an 8 hour day tied to a boss and a desk for those hours. Gee for those out there that say get a regular job; I would have to say “why?” This pays better and you are outside enjoying the weather and not answering to anybody but yourself. If there was a recycling place here I would totally be ready to do this full time. I would definitely be the richer for it.
I agree with you, I wish I a small truck and I would be doing this to. But I think here in California U would have to do taxes and that would take some of the enjoyment out of it. I so enjoy these videos !

I have always love to go trash hunting! still do today. Am living in a apt and people are always throwing away good things. some I sell for extra income. I pray you go out there and find some great stuff and you can bring in a great income to leave your job and do what is fun! God Bless

It's a little late but those 2 steel things at the beginning are feet for a snowplow blade. They come with flat washers (and the pin) in a plow kit. Height's adjusted based on how many washers are put on the bottom and how many are on the top of the mounting areas on a snowplow blade. LOL! That bent one...they look like they hit something. Besides that, those things are "replaceable since they eventually wear out. They scrape on the surface and act to hold keep the plow blade at a specific height.

Finally I see he is getting advice from someone about the re-sale value of some of his scrap items. OK, it's a helper at the scrap facility, but that guy has seen a lot of stuff so should know his scrap from his antiques. Kudos to the guy and his advice, don't forgt to give him a little present if those items bring in a hundred bucks. p.s. There are guys who only scrap old rusty antique-looking stuff. They sell it to the guys who design restaurants, themed stores, etc and place the old items over, inside, and around facilities for "ambience" and thus that old wheelbarrow might sell for $100, $200 or more to the right scrapper who is dialed in to the architects to whom those items get billed to their customers at twice the purchase price so to them the more expensive the better. I once sold three iron tubs that I couldn't even give away over two years of garage sales, then the antique scrapper came by and gave me almost $400 each. Rusty saw got $50, rusty part of a plow, $75 and so on. I think I made two grand, and cleaned up the property a lot, and the scrapper probably doubled his investment or better by selling to his specialty market.

Angel lay down chairs only worth a lot of money to fisherman's cuz it's hard for us to find them anymore we use them you can set up fishing poles on we liked to bend down to the ground
The lawn chair you had was not worth money. People will pay some money for solid metal slider rockers. Dealers repaint them festive nice colors like a mint green or so. An old fashioned metal loveseat outdoor rocker about 250 and a chair about 100… that’s ready to go painted and fixed. Lawn chairs that are webbed that have the webbing secured with a screw and nut that can be rewebbed are also popular. If they can’t be webbed again then they are worthless. You literally will flip it over and every strap has a screw holding it in place. I would say you can get about 35 or so maybe 55 if webbed. Have a great day

Build some dividers you can clamp in to give you some straight up and down places to give you more room. Then you don't have to stop and rearange.
