I love the fact that even while playing in a squad with randoms the contextual ping system in this game is so good. Like I don't really want to talk to random people but using the ping system is more than enough to convey exactly what you need to. I don't think I've ever seen a game that's done as good a job is this

ping system is genius. and simple/smaller number of characters/small squads. the teamwork aspect feels so natural like its baked into the game perfectly.
I haven't played it yet but 3 seems like a good number for a squad. When I'm playing Fortnite and now mostly Blackout when I do squad fill I mostly notice myself and the 2 other players will help each other out and be a team while majority the 4th person will go off on their own...
Also worth noting that if one of your teammates die, and your other teammate picks up their respawn chip, you can also resurrect them even tho you weren't the one to pick up the chip.
Also if your team mate has your chip dont disconnect from the game , wait for the freaking respawns. I risk my life to bring you back and you give up!!!!! ahahahegjaidndbrjddudbr d
The box from dead bodies and Caustic's traps can block doors from opening, kicking the door moves these objects out of the way. Also kicking a door twice will destroy it completely

all praise the ping. move with the ping. frolic with the ping. make sweet love to the ping. whisper sweet nothings in the pings ear. Get a marriage and 3 kids, a crushing divorce, takes the kids, house, car and even the dog with the ping. BE the ping.
Another tip: wen falling from a huge height, instead of just landing which kinda slows u down, do a slide and u will at least keep moving forward and also avoid getting shot... hope this helps
Quick tip about "the drop" at the beginning. To get the furthest distance - go straight down until hitting 140 and level out, then right before you hit 130 go straight down again. Continue in this "sine wave" motion (straight down, straight horizontal, repeat) until you hit your destination. Can go upwards of 1200m with this tactic - just watch out for high points like cliffs, hills, buildings and trees.
On that note, when coming across a hill, mountain, and stuff alike, if you look straight up, then when you do the hovering thing where you slow down to the ground, it pulls you upwards instead, it's now been named 'gliding'
This needs more likes. A potato JM is my biggest frustration. Either watching EVERY other team land before yours, or waiting to jump 3/4 of the map in. 😠

I think because it's faster paced, first person, and yet still has a lot of strategy elements (from both a standard shooter-tactics perspective and meta-tactics perspective) it manages to really differentiate itself from other BR games and bridge previous divides.

TIP: Kicking the door isn’t for aesthetics but rather damages it, 2 hits and the door breaks off completely, this can be useful if a downed enemy or loot box Is blocking an inside door or if an enemy team is in a building to which you need a peak spot to shoot or throw a grenade in.
This game is pretty interesting as almost anything your team can use, the enemy can, they can shoot your caustic mines and effect your teammates or use your portal as wraith and your zip line as pathfinder, heck, an enemy can even use your healing drone
Knew about the punching, pleasantly surprised about the flying kick, but finding out that you can also upper cut makes me want to mayweather everyone I come across
One good tip as well for the wraith is you can phase shift during your ult, and this makes for some amazingly sneaky portal plays. Also you can loot the loot ship mid air, though it is almost always a hot drop.
Fun fact: this game runs in a modified Source engine. Yes, Valve's Source engine which Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, CS:GO, Garry's Mod and a hell of a lot other games use. Impressive work to make it this good looking.
i dunno why they used the source engine instead of optimizing the unreal enginge and use that one instead. Would have been better. I think the source engine struggle with such big environments
TIP: If you are knocked and your team is in a room go stand/sit in front of the door if it's closed, because enemies can't open it because the door opens away from you and then you are in front of it😉 Edit: ofcourse people can break it but most of the people don't come up with that idea at that moment.

Good thinking, you could possibly get extra downs. An arc star will definitely cause extra damage to others as its fast whereas a grenade may be too slow in triggering the explosion which might make the teamates abandon their fallen ally if they spot it early enough.
Another ping tip: if someone pings an item that you want look over at it and ping it yourself, this will "dib" the item which will permanently mark it on your screen and remove it from other teammates screen.
Another tip - you can restart the tutorial and there's a shooting range with all the weapons and grenades in the game. There are also targets that show the exact damage numbers for bodyshots and headshots on different distances. Jack, you didn't seem to know it too, you don't have to do testings during the match.
Helpful hint for the balloons: To get extra distance, look straight up and hold down freelook immediately when you're able to. The game will give you extra boosts of air after you're close to the ground, and you will go almost twice as far.
Take into account that it's been out for less than a week. Also, the game didn't have a massive hype train with lots of pre-release gameplay to familiarize us with the gameplay. Don't underestimate the brain's capability to normalize even the most amazing things
You can also pull up your inventory while running and drop stuff you don't need on the fly. However I think on console you're locked into the direction you were running.

Kicking doors open helps if somebody’s loot box I preventing the doors from opening. That happened to me once and if u kick the door twice it breaks off the wall. So if somethings blocking the door from opening kick the door twice to break it off the wall.
Matthew there was a clip of a streamer trapping an entire squad by blocking the doors of the room with nox gas bottles. Now wondering if the trapped team could've just kicked open the door...
You can also block the door intentionally by standing in front of it. I use this when a teammate is being revived. it buys a little extra time. You can also block doors with Caustics "independent variable".
A teamemate and me were blocking both doors inside of a small house. We had no weapons at all. We hoped we can block them, until one of them just breached the door open and screamed: "FBI, Open UP!"
That is what happens when you play a real FPS that takes recoil control and precise aim. This is what make CSGO so great and big. easy to play, hard to master
One thing to note about when jumping out the ship as Mirage - you can send two decoys out instead of one. Not sure if it's a glitch but I usually send two in a different direction or together for the extra bamboozle.
playing with the robot your ziplines stay there with no time limit. so if the ring closes in a direction and you happened to have a zipline there from the past you can use it. the robot is excellent as a support being really good at flanking and getting team mates to difficult locations. oxcides jump pads also stay forever so they are useful.
I’m a Fortnite fan. Played it pretty hardcore for about a year now. I will admit that this game is more fun right off the start than Fortnite was. It will stay that way if they update it frequently
OK NOTYET I agree that fortnite is absolutely garbage now. But it wasn't always garbage. I've been playing fortnite since season 1 and it was so much fun. I stopped around season 5. However, season 4 and onward it only got so much worse. The map, mechanics, guns, and the players just tryhard so much. This game however is genius and I absolutely love it. Let's just hope it doesn't go to crap like fortnite did.
Awesome team ability combo: If you have a Bangalore and Bloodhound on your team, pop smoke with Bangalore in a heated area and use Bloodhounds ult and you can easily spot enemies through the smoke. Super useful during those intense end game circles!

Pop smoke with bangalore and have bloodhounds ability to scan for enemies. This makes pretty easy gunfights for your team.
Bangalore smokes plus Digital Threat sights = Predator vision
Bloodhounds ability shows last known position, so the enemy can move by the time u get there
Bloodhounds ult reveals them real time which is even more deadly.

This game is pretty interesting as almost anything your team can use, the enemy can, they can shoot your caustic mines and effect your teammates or use your portal as wraith and your zip line as pathfinder, heck, an enemy can even use your healing drone

One good tip as well for the wraith is you can phase shift during your ult, and this makes for some amazingly sneaky portal plays. Also you can loot the loot ship mid air, though it is almost always a hot drop.

Fun fact: this game runs in a modified Source engine. Yes, Valve's Source engine which Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, CS:GO, Garry's Mod and a hell of a lot other games use.

TIP: If you are knocked and your team is in a room go stand/sit in front of the door if it's closed, because enemies can't open it because the door opens away from you and then you are in front of it😉

Tip: when you down someone, equip a thermite and throw it at them. Theres no chance they will escape the fire in time.
Any grenade does the work but you know what's less avoidable that Thermite? A Sticky Shuriken

Good thinking, you could possibly get extra downs. An arc star will definitely cause extra damage to others as its fast whereas a grenade may be too slow in triggering the explosion which might make the teamates abandon their fallen ally if they spot it early enough.
Instead of wasting grenades or bullets just execute them
Another ping tip: if someone pings an item that you want look over at it and ping it yourself, this will "dib" the item which will permanently mark it on your screen and remove it from other teammates screen.

Another tip - you can restart the tutorial and there's a shooting range with all the weapons and grenades in the game. There are also targets that show the exact damage numbers for bodyshots and headshots on different distances. Jack, you didn't seem to know it too, you don't have to do testings during the match.

You can also pull up your inventory while running and drop stuff you don't need on the fly. However I think on console you're locked into the direction you were running.

Kicking doors open helps if somebody’s loot box I preventing the doors from opening. That happened to me once and if u kick the door twice it breaks off the wall. So if somethings blocking the door from opening kick the door twice to break it off the wall.

You can also block the door intentionally by standing in front of it. I use this when a teammate is being revived. it buys a little extra time. You can also block doors with Caustics "independent variable".
A teamemate and me were blocking both doors inside of a small house. We had no weapons at all. We hoped we can block them, until one of them just breached the door open and screamed: "FBI, Open UP!"

One thing to note about when jumping out the ship as Mirage - you can send two decoys out instead of one. Not sure if it's a glitch but I usually send two in a different direction or together for the extra bamboozle.

playing with the robot your ziplines stay there with no time limit.
so if the ring closes in a direction and you happened to have a zipline there from the past you can use it.
the robot is excellent as a support being really good at flanking and getting team mates to difficult locations.
oxcides jump pads also stay forever so they are useful.
You can ping items in death boxes for your teammates

However, season 4 and onward it only got so much worse. The map, mechanics, guns, and the players just tryhard so much. This game however is genius and I absolutely love it. Let's just hope it doesn't go to crap like fortnite did.

Awesome team ability combo: If you have a Bangalore and Bloodhound on your team, pop smoke with Bangalore in a heated area and use Bloodhounds ult and you can easily spot enemies through the smoke. Super useful during those intense end game circles!
