**2014 Mazda6 owners** I recently installed this switch on my 2014 Mazda6 iSport and it was easy. However, there are wires that are connected to the headlight switch and I didn’t want to risk messing up wires. I unplugged the white wire cable thing and then proceeded to tuck the old signal stalk up and under the steering wheel and then put the cover back on so that way you dont need to splice any wires if you don’t want to.
I saw this vid on amazon but was looking for it on TH-cam. Mate, when u installed the fog lights themselves, did u use the wires the fog lights (and the button for the lights) came with? Or did u just install the fog lights and the original light switches just worked the headlights and dogs at the same time..?
I did not use the wires that came with the lights. The mazda 6 comes with all wires preinstalled in the car. The connection was on a plastic stump very close to the fog light inserts. Just pop out the inserts and plug in the light. Then swap out the switch and boom lights on.
Hansaleti hey man. I bought a diff pair from amazon. The ones with chrome on em. I had a mechanic install em. They won’t turn on. I have the old switch but it should still work with the original switch right? The head lights and the fogs should come on at the same time. But the fogs won’t turn on. DDid urs turn on with the original switch or they started to work only after u installed the new light switch??
@@fearless189 the fog lights will not come on if installed using the preinstalled mazda wiring until you change out the switch. You would think both lights would come on but they dont. That was the whole point of the video.

Wish you had a video showing how you installed the fog light. Every video I see shows them taking off the whole front bumper seem a little extra to me.
You can go through the wheel wells. Take the plastic off and you can reach in there but it's very tight in certain angles but possible. If you don't know what the tabs positions are and how they are oriented it would be harder since you can't see anything. That's why taking the whole thing off may end up being faster

So the fog light harness was already on the car even though it didnt come with them?
Correct, the wires were pre installed and ready to go by mazda. just plug and play the lights.

@@fearless189 no I took just enough screws out from the bottom plastic skirt underneath to get my hands up in there
