    Too each our own. I believe less is more. My 6 is the soul red colour. The metallic soul red is so deep and lush that I had it coated again to make sure it was never in danger of peel or chips. I live in Scotland and roads here are as savage as the people can be. I was doing a few mods for the bumpers (fang) and that was going to be the extent of what I would do to the body. I found your vid of this and it prompted me to give it a bash. Good shout my 👑! What a mad difference. With the soul red I did have vinyl mirrored chrome accents added to enhance the body shape over the front wheel and down the doors. The only other external mod was to dump my 17s for 19s.
    Great job, it is awesome seeing you feel about your Mazda the way I feel about mine. I have a crate engine and trans in the garage for the future. Mine will not die, it will merely respawn.

      I try to keep my car simple, but different. I’ve never been a “over the top” person, I just like my stuff clean and simple. Little touches like these could have been OEM and most people would know no different otherwise! My 6 is at 245,000 miles and when the engine does die, I will probably just find a low milage unit and swap it out in a weekend and keep on going!

      We are at 220 K on the 2014 tourer with a back up crate in the garage and we have a gunmetal grey 2021 tourer that is basically new (hers) at 21k miles. Until these facelift mazdas I never thought we would get luxury at low cost. So nice we bought twice@@DariusBuildz

    I have to rewire wire to my fuse box for the DRL headlights? 😮

      I’m confused at your question.

  • @Thrahl

    Can you show a diagram or just tell us where exactly in the fuse box you plugged in the fog LED lights to enable DRL? Did you have to disconnect anything to disable the headlight DRL? Currently on my Mazda6 I have always on headlight DRL. I would like to switch to the same setup you have. Where the LED strip on my fog light functions as a DRL.

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the GT, so my DRL comes on when the car is in gear. I have the fog light DRL’s wired to the radio fuse with a fuse tap, so when the car is on, the drl is on. But to disable the sport/touring huh beam DRL, just pull the fuse for it.

    I got an aliexpress version but very similar, just on and indicators. I can’t figure out how to connect it up. I have red, black, 2 grey and a blue.
    I guess black to negative screw on battery, the 2 greys I think are my indicators, blue maybe the main on, red then too as positive.. no instructors.
    If you were wiring, what fuses to what color? I tried red to aac, blue to radio, black to negative battery and it blew the radio fuse

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Normally black is ground and red would be main on. One would be dim (maybe blue) that would go to the parking lights and the two greys are prob turn signals. I’m not sure why it would blow your radio fuse unless you had a small short somewhere.

    • @AnthonyLCasey
      @AnthonyLCasey 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DariusBuildz I don’t have a dim function on this one. Just on and indicators.
      So In terms of colors where would I wire exactly?

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not too terrible. Power ground and make sure you fuse the power wire with a small fuse (15 amp or less) as close to the power source as possible, just in case something goes bad. If you fuse it right, you won’t have much to worry about, but I understand the feeling. My pops won’t wire nothing up. He has me do it 😂

      @@heaven1238 I connect mine to the RADIO fuse. They are on when the car is on. I use mini fuse taps. the link to those should be in the video description. If you have a DRL fuse, you can connect it there as well, but I do not know if they turn off once the headlights turn on if it is a non-GT since the DRL on the non-GT are the highbeams at 50%.

    How the wiring install for just the fog light install?

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      All of the cars are prewired for the fogs. Mine is a GT and came equip from Mazda, so nothing additional was needed for me. If your 3rd gen 6 did not come with fogs, you will need the oem style fog light kit and the OEM stalk w/out auto lights, which can be found on Amazon for about $40 and it all plug and play. I will put a link in the description for the Fog Light Stalk.

  • @itsYOfedong
    @itsYOfedong 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For the baller drl foglight bezel on your description will it fit the 2017mazda6 GS? If so what foglight would you recomment and do i still have to get a kit?

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will still need the basic fog light kit if you don’t have factory fog lights bc you need the bracket that holds the fog light itself. The fog light that comes with the kit it fine, but the Morimoto led fog lights are incredible, but they cost a pretty penny too.

    • @DariusBuildz

Not sure if dealers do it but I know they charge more ofc

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IRoKxSilverChannel the led bulbs upgrade in the sport and touring headlights are a huge improvement! And I doubt the dealership will install the LED bulbs for liability reasons, but any custom car shop in your area will install them no issue. They can go through the fender well instead of taking the front bumper off. I have a video of my switching out my HID bulbs, but it is the same process to get to the halogens. You could do it yourself to be honest. Switch out the high beams to while you are at it.
