Good vid. I like sws as a developer and have found there one of a few that seem to be realistic and honest about there products and processes. I remember when the kodiak was first released there was issues but they have know worked them out and hopefully learned a lot from that. I also like the haven’t released it out to the reviewers and vlogers weeks / months before release, due when developers do that I feel it’s teasing and I find I’m not as interested upon release or less interested. Pc12 may be one of my favourites obviously wait till I get my hands on it, also this type of aircraft is the sort I enjoy the most and more exciting than an airliner and is easier to make the most off. But we have been spoiled lately by the tbm850 and the m500. But that’s good. I would like to also see some more business jets as well to come to the sim..
I want more business jets in MSFS more than any other potential addition. I’m a huge business aviation enthusiast and I’ve always felt the current selection is majorly lacking.
Very nice, thanks for the preview. But in what way would this be the "the most detailed single engine prop" compared to the other ones such as the A2A Comanche?
@erim84 - I've just bought the PC-12 and it's lovely. But you're right, it was a silly statement. It's not groundbreaking in any way. It has no control panel / tablet. It has no maintenance or failures options. To be fair to SWS, that's why they priced it at only £21. It doesn't hold a candle to the A2A Comanche. It's just a 'good' addon. To say it might be the most detailed single engine prop in the sim is just unnecessary hyperbole.
7:25 it's actually GEN2 then 1. It's been about 3 years since ive flown it but if I recall the order has to do with keeping the bus ties from tripping, though ive never had that problem in the series 10 nor the NG.
The Carenado PC12 has made a lot better due to some updates, and it also has a fantastic weather radar (Avidyne Flighmax), which is much more important to me than a board toilet.😊
I have one in msfs 2020..flys great. I don’t see anything different. Why should I buy it? Breakers working..ahh pressure.no the one I have has pressure. So there are more than one way to turn off something with the breakers? Hummmmm
Thanks for this video! It's looking good. Unfortunatelly, for the not so experienced sim-pilot, it's hard to follow your actions since your mouse cursor is not visible. That's a bummer.
I run an RTX4090 so my FPS are never an issue with any addon, which makes it very difficult to monitor and compare frames (as I also have it locked to 4K60fps)
Thanks for your good review. As someone who only fly's from bush planes up to bizjets and having flown the "other" PC-12 for a few months, I am poised to purchase this version as I can see how much better it will be in so many details. All the eye candy is nice but where it matters is flight dynamics and systems and this SWS version delivers. As for failures, I will get them when they come out but I wouldn't want them at first while learning anyway. Top marks to SWS.
@@jay-rus4437 oh - I've only flown the TBM once or twice since the video I did on it... I've found that's a bit more "tricky" to learn and the PC-12 generally a bit more easier to learn
@@BritishAvgeek …. Understand. Honestly, we have a lot of aircraft to choose from now. Still more on the way. For the most part I fly the Fenix a320, PMDG 737-800 or 900, or the TBM 850. Those 3 get 90% of my time.
Providing you already have the GTNXi addon installed, when you install the SWS PC12 it asks which nav system you want to install - at that point you select the gtnxi option and it'll link up
Beautiful aircraft that I fell in love with, but I could never fly with it for longer than about half an hour because then the frame rates dropped below 10 fps and you could not fly with it any further. All the tweaks from the FS2020 were applied, but my buddy and I did not get any further despite our sturdy periphery. It really hurts after seeing your wonderful review!
You are probably talking about the Carenado PC-12 wich is not great. The one in the video is from Simworks Studios and is going to be released in a few hours (2023-12-06-1200z).
Carenado has nothing on this. Eye candy at best. SWS PC12 feels like a real plane. I still need to practice doing a proper takeoff and landing. Everything else in the sim has an arcade feel but not this one!
The prop animation reeeeealy need some work... Specially when spooling up but mainly when taxying. You shouldnt be able to see individual blades like that with the naked eye.
No failures/wear simulation, no buy for me. There are so much good airplanes now with good wear and tear simulations, it makes no sense - in my opinion - to fly something where it makes no difference if you check your instruments or not.
This is the turboprop I was waiting for. Lot on them landing on my swiss real life airport. The best seller amongst turboprops, and there is a good reason. Greath work from SWS. Too many animations just for fun, no need of a working toilette but..... at least an aircraft that is not equipped with that by now annoying G1000Nxi
I remain cautious on this purchase. The Kodiak was overhyped and my experience flying it has not been good at all (really bad and useless engine wear model, i could firewall the throttle and not over torque it, ground handling sucked and torque on departure was often unmanageable with yaw damper doing nothing (needs to be balanced for sim peripherals). If this can overcome, we'll be good.

I spoke out on their FB page and they banned me 😂 And we already have the Black Square TBM 850, which is pretty amazing
Btw….what they really hated about my FB comments was that they have relentlessly said “two more weeks”….”two more weeks”. When they had already told us that the aircraft had been sent to Pilatus for review, guess they forgot they said it, and then announced it again later. When I called them out they asked when they ever said it, and I copied and pasted all of their own comments for each time they said the plane would be released in two weeks, and when they said it went to Pilatus, when clearly it hadnt. They also didnt recognize that I was the very same one that had asked on a comments section in youtube, and they had also answered me there saying it was already with Pilatus. Its ridiculous

Yeah that I can't work out either - as it's recording but then not showing in my editor, so that has me rather puzzled 😅
Thanks for the video, does it use a beta range, ie to manage taxi speed?
Yes, when you toggle reverse the initial throttle movement will get you into beta range. Then, as you keep powering, it will gradually enter reverse.
Yep!
Could you perhaps relate the fps hit against rivels, such as Carenado PC12 (very high) and TMB-850 (less than default unbelievably), please?
