Every song he does has a blues influence and all of them are packed with emotion. You literally feel every syllable in your bones. If you only know Chris Stapleton through his work with Justin Timberlake, then you are doing yourself a disservice. There is no doubt that JT is a superstar, but when he sings with Chris you can almost hear the strain in Chris's voice as he tries to keep his own in check. The only person Chris can sing with to his full potential and not over shadow them is Morgane Stapleton, Chris's wife.

He is so talented. There's just something about his tempo, his amazing guitar tone, lyric choices, and breath power that all mixes perfectly. His songs always have very few words, but, together with the music, communicate a vision and feeling. Also, he has really good breath control, so he can deliver the notes dynamically very easily to make them sound more soft, nasal, or piercing just by choosing the right breath control.
