@jamesward5721 ☺️ It is not funny when you go the wrong way, only to go back on a different route... But, it is what it is... Cursing kinda helps...😅 👍
Good find. This motor - Z 13 DTH on all 2006-2014 Corsa D is electronic throttle control( ETC ). This engine is old Z 13 DTH and WAS used in ASTRA H - in ASTRA H it's the vacuum valve like here. This here engine in the Corsa is from Astra H.
I had the same issue many years ago with my Corsa. After work the car would only crank but not start. RAC man arrived within about 30mins. He had a good idea what it could be. Hit the EGR valve with a hammer a few times to close it, unplugged it. Engine light came on but it got me home and down to the garage for repairs later that week.
Another great video always like the way you find and repair without running to the parts department. I was thinking could you have found their issue sooner when using easy start? Just a thought. Again great video
that multijet 1.3 motors are very popular here in my country (Turkey) exactly on fiat& opel cars.this is the common problem egr system and intake manifold must clean from diesel gunk in every 80k km because of low quality diesel fuel

good morning Luis is there any sensors or not on that valve throttle body that should have had a red number on the autel for out of range good catch on maf anyway
No sensors as you will need able to see when I dismantled it... Should have some sort of position sensor or similar... Unfortunately it is just a mechanical flap vacuum actuated... 👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs havent worked on many cant remember. on taking it off you may have left sensor in engine bay ? like you say its only a kill flap a good lesson. thanks. one to keep an eye on
I'm having the same problem, but my model is 2006 and I don't have a throttle body at all, do you have any advice It's unbelievable that it's an identical problem, I was really happy when I watched the clip, when he sees miracles I go to look but there is none, the intake pipe goes directly to the intake manifold.
Luis it is perfect like always, I have same engine on my wife suzuki. I have an Xtool instead of Autel but looks like the diag SW is exactly same... how does it possible? Why I am using Opel diag SW instead of Suzuki because the Suzuki diag SW is 100% useless while the Opel diag SW shows all sensors etc... Same controller and Suzuki I guess bought it from Opel directly... some kind of joint venture project like we can see it nowadays also. was it with DPF mounted? Thanks to god my engine runs now perfectly but I had lots of sucks with it in spring at 190 000 km... EGR cleaning, Glow plugs defect, Turbo exchange and DPF echange as it was not possible to clean it anymore 100% clogged... after a 133€ DPF from Autodoc solved all issues and it runs now perfectly. Thanks to you and other enthusiestic YT teachers I could do it on my own all repairs so cost really not much at the end :) And I learned a lot about my car... make no sense to sell it anymore....
Great job as always . . Please can you do me a Christmas favour haha . I did a injector leak of test for 1.5 mins idle . The car runs fine but I am not have with the results . Please may I send a attachment of the results. Cylinder 1 it 20 ml more thank you. Cylinder 1 is approximately 84 ml cylinder 2 is 74ml cylinder 3 is 61ml cylinder 4 is 63ml . . Car is running ok but from my understanding from a cold or warm start I should be recieving a minimal amount in each four cylinders . Please can you enlighten me . Ooooo and have a great Christmas. Keep up the amazing work
Hi If the difference leaked by that one injector is too greater than the other ones, could be an indication that that particular injector is on it's way... you can as preventive maintenance, have it reconditioned or replaced, but to be honest, I would worry too much if the car is running with no problems... The only thing that could be happening is the HP pump work a but harder to maintain the pressure... 👍👍👍
@LMAutoRepairs thanks for the reply . Just I would of expected to see 20/30 ml in each cup after 2 minutes of engine idle not the amount I was getting . Like I say the car runs fine no hard starting ect . But the leak of seems to me to be excessive would you agree? . Or or the 1.3 cdti A13DTC like this ? . Much appreciated for you time to answer my questions thank you .
Hi mate . Just a update . I scanned ECU and found the codes for all 4 injectors . So reset and re coded after writing the ECU codes for each cylinder After many failed attempts I couldn't program cylinder one . . So I just ject on top of the injector it was a complete different code . After writing the new code and taking the car for a run to warm up I re did the leak off test minutes 3.30s of leak off time 40ml cylinder 1 48.5 cylinder 2 42 cylinder 3 and 40 cylinder 4 . So I was pleased with that. I then took all injectors out and stripped the completely down and cleaned with brake cleaner and carb cleaner and toothbrush . I soaked in diesel for 5 mins sprayed wd40 equivalent and excellent spray pattern . . Re built re fitted and car is a lot better . Omhs test was good on all solenoids so IAM a happy man . . Thanks for info . Hope ya had a good Christmas. O ye I just cleaned throttle body yesterday aswell as I just seen your video . Mine wasn't experiencing problems just thought I missed well to keep things in order . Take care your a great mechanic Il be raising my ECU next when it gets warmer for now I just make sure holes are clear. Take it easy mate. O ye next timing chain and probably valve stem seals that will be fun. Ovisually when the weather is a lot warmer haha
Great video, tell me, my opel cirsa d 1.4 does the same thing but after it start I can drive 10kilos then it shut down and cranks not start, after a while it start but cannot driver above 20 kilos and did diagnosis to clear the fault codes but they appear soon as you drive, is it on limp mode or what could it be?
Not sure if that valve/flap shuts slightly to help pull the EGR gases through as well Louis. I know it does on some of the VAG group. Good find though Louis ☺️👌
Thinking further about it, without a position sensor on the valve, which this one didn't have, would be a big tricky for the ecu to know how yo actuate the vacuum solenoid to position the valve correctly.... 🤔
During the works you did on the car, did you noticed any error codes when disconnecting components? It's very strange the ecu didn't had ANY errors present... When I see stuff like that my first thought is a remap done by some genius...some of them have the bad habit of removing the coding for errors...
This valve will stop the engine from getting a feed of air in case the turbo fails this was something most modern engines should have fitted a long time ago.

On some of these cars the vehicle will not start due to starter motor speed there was a tsb on it approx 250rpm normal 300rpm if stopstart ecm would think engine running due to higher cranking speed so starting prota call ignored engine will not start and can be intermittent providing all injectors and crank sensor test fine eta hope that helps for future help there will be no codes in ecm
