This is one of those songs that hits WAY different when you are an adult and listen to the lyrics...loved this as a teenager, but it makes so much more sense now in my 40s.
Back in days I didn’t understand a single word of english, but liked the sound. Today I understand the lyrics and love the band. So glad to be a kid of the 90’s.
When we were young, the future was so bright Woah-oh The old neighborhood was so alive Woah-oh And every kid on the whole damn street Woah-oh Was gonna make it big and not be beat Now the neighborhood's cracked and torn Woah-oh The kids are grown up, but their lives are worn Woah-oh How can one little street swallow so many lives? Chances thrown Nothing's free Longing for, used to be Still it's hard, hard to see Fragile lives Shattered dreams (go!) Jamie had a chance, well, she really did Woah-oh Instead she dropped out and had a couple of kids Woah-oh Mark still lives at home 'cause he's got no job Woah-oh He just plays guitar and smokes a lot of pot Jay commited suicide Woah-oh Brandon OD'd and died Woah-oh What the hell is going on? The cruelest dream, reality Chances thrown Nothing's free Longing for, used to be Still it's hard, hard to see Fragile lives Shattered dreams (Go!) Chances thrown Nothing's free Longing for (what), used to be Still it's hard, hard to see Fragile lives Shattered dreams
Wow, I just discovered this, soo good! They should do a studio recording of this version. Also, Dexter has lost so much weight in the 2 years since this performance
Thank You....Dex....and the aeries sucks and Not Yall. Whoever sold to sucks. I sing what You sing still after You guys...Bass guy I understand....not namin names.. You All Are Good.....Why?
I like an unplugged version as much as anyone. But Dude; what's with this singing thru your nose? The offset harmonies were a neat touch, but the nasal tone sorta spoiled the effect. I'm just saying, you coulda gone far kid.
@@rik-1-j6n I said that everyone would disagree...it's catchy, of course but there are dozens of songs much better than this one in their discography...just my opinion
I'm 36 years old. These guys were my first concert ever when I was 13. Love it.
🙌
i’m 43 i’ll get to a concert soon 😢
Numbers are Your problem.

Damn they sound so great unplugged. Nice to see they still enjoy playing together 💥
This takes back to my teenage in a way that is both painful and sweet. Looking forward to see them live again next year, it's been quite a while.
Amazing version
Love this! I wish to see The Offspring live again soon! This band narrates my teen years.
Love that Dexter is playing an Australian Maton acoustic…
At least 150 views are just me lol blows me away how good this is when done acoustic
I went to one of their concerts a few days ago at Jones beach. It was my first concert and holy hell it was amazing.

Very nice! Thanks!
🖤 💛
So cool
The lyrics are profound. Thank you Offspring.
New fav 🙌
Damn they sound good
¡¡¡¡Los amooo!!!!, Best of the best!
Damn, those high notes are hard to hit it.
True! The harmonies are even harder, I'm very impressed that they are harmonizing those vocals so well!
Tbh, I'm very impressed by how Noodles is rocking the vocals!!
🤘
Muito bom!
Nice work guys...
Nice Ska sound from the Offspring!
i like the bass guitar i want to have
I'm 38 years old and wish I could turn back the clocks.
I would do so many things differently.😔
The improv at the begin kinda sounds like Eat The Meek by NOFX.
I was thinking the whole song has a very acoustic NOFX feel, which isn't a bad thing, I like NOFX's acoustic songs, just surprising.
It reminds me of The Beatles's reunion.
А годы летят)))
how you not going to film all of Noodles solo???
This should be the millennial national anthem...
I ❤ noodles.
This song is so deep and sad. 😞
Thank You....Dex....and the aeries sucks and Not Yall. Whoever sold to sucks. I sing what You sing still after You guys...Bass guy I understand....not namin names.. You All Are Good.....Why?
This little indian really was singing "chances blown "
If only the bass was turned up about 5 knotches this video would have been perfect.. magnificent work though..
Great song, but the acoustic leaves too much space for vocals which are not necessarily they’re strongest suit!

デクスターのほうがハモリ役だったとは知らなかった!
Qué mayor estás, Dexter. :(
meh

I love Offspring since 30 years...this song is their worst song! 😱 Everyone would disagree... The lyrics are good, the music is awful...
Bro what? That riff in the beginning is legendary catchy you deaf?
