Doctor ,this is urgent. I got my specs today botg left and right eye cylindrical -0.50 and spherical in right eye with power -1.25. When i try to see with my left eye through both the len with the left side i see the object in a distance beshi that i normally see with my naked eye but on the right len the object seems to go little far. Same with the right eye. In short when i try to see through the right lens with both of my eyes at a time the left lens shows same distance but with the right lens the object seems to go bit far. Will it cause any trouble in my eyes?
Hello, thank you for your comment. From what I understand you are using your left eye to see through both sides of your spectacle. It is natural that there will be some difference in perception as one side of your spectacle has a different power. It will not cause any trouble unless each eye is viewing from its respective/correct side of the spectacle lens. All the best.

Thank you for your comment, Priya. When identifying the power of a spectacle lens, holding the spectacle frame with the temples facing away from the holder's face is important for ensuring that the lens's optical properties are assessed in the correct orientation. Spectacle lenses are designed to be positioned in front of the wearer's eyes in a specific orientation. By holding the frame with the temples facing away from you, you are positioning the lenses as they would sit in front of the wearer’s eyes. This helps ensure that the lens power is measured in the same way it will be experienced by the wearer. If we hold the spectacles with the temples facing toward us, the lens will be reversed, which can lead to inaccuracies in measuring the lens power, especially with cylindrical or multifocal lenses. The correct orientation ensures that any instruments used, like a lensometer, will give a true reading of the lens power as it is meant to be worn. It helps to achieve consistent and reliable results when identifying lens power. All the best!
Sir today I have bought a lence and my eye sight is 0.5 the lence so sir whenever I wear it I see blur and feel dizziness so is there any falut in tha lence or this is just because I am using it first time please tell ?
Thank you for your comment. Minus powered spherical lenses are used to treat myopia and plus powered spherical lenses are used to treat hyperopia. You can make the observations shared in the video and identify the power of the lens and then determine whether the power of lens indicates myopia or hyperopia. Please do share the video with friends and family and help us spread awareness. Wish you the best of health.
@@futuristic6060 I can understand. It requires an experienced eye to detect the size and movement through lenses with low power. I suggest to visit an optician, who can help you by checking the power using an instrument called the lensometer. All the best.
Thanks for watching our video. We are glad that you liked it. Please do share with your friends and family, and help us spread awareness about eye care.
Thank you for the comment, Akshay. Ideally a zero powered lens should not cause any magnification. Prolonged use with magnification could lead to a head ache or eye strain.

I would avoid doing that because the new frame might have a different alignment which would re-orient the cylinder axis causing discomfort to or even rejection by the patient. Thanks for commenting, it helps make the channel interactive. Please do share the video with those who might benefit.
Thank you for the comment. Yes, Ramandeep, from one perspective it surely appears like the video simply conveys whether a spectacle is of a plus or minus power. However, we have come across skilled and experienced practitioners who are actually able to identify the power of the lens somewhat closely by putting together information like the size of the object viewed through the lens, the speed of the movement of the object being viewed through the lens and the direction of movement of the object. From the perspective of such practitioners, you can more or less identify the power of the lens by observing the various points shared in the video. We will surely add this idea to the description of the video. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. Wish you the best of health.

Hi Sir, i tested my eye power at 2 different store and both prescription is different. Is this possible or one of them did mistake? Store1: RE: -7 SPH, -0.75 CYL, 25 Axis LE: -7 SPH, 0 CYL Store2: RE: -6.25 SPH, -0.5 CYL, 30 Axis LE: -6.75 SPH, -1 CYL, 170 Axis
Thank you for the comment. Some variations are expected as different stores have different practitioners, using instruments with varying calibration. Ensure that you get an accurate eye exam done following the required procedures of binocular balancing using the duo chrome test. It is a test to ensure that the accommodation (ability to focus) in both eyes are relaxed and it ensures that the eye is neither over nor under corrected. Wish you the best of health. Please do like and share the video.

Sir why one should hold the frame opposite way ?? Any reason behind it???
