They looked so good. My Husband's favourite is castle pud so I always have a tin of golden syrup as a special treat very occasionally. It's always amazing how such a runny mixture firms up to such a delicious treat. Great with some custard.
Hello, well I’ve never known it as castle pudding. That’s a new one on me. Maybe I should come out of my cave sometimes 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I will have to have a better look, thank you mi duck ❤️😘👌
It's treacle sponge in my house Graham! My teeth were aching looking at all that sugar and syrup. . . . but my word, those cakes looked amazing, and even more so with the custard. Wendy is a wonderful cook 😊
Hi both - well you two’s have taken me down memory lane again. Memories of my mam and school - love it - the video was great - you work hard on your channel - Wendy is a great cook and you are Graham ❤recipe in my book already also put the pineapple upside down thst you did in my book too Thanks again both What a ‘to do ‘ with the car - Haven should have been more considerate after all you were not asking the earth - but all ended ok. ❤
Hi Pauline. It was a memory pudding for us too. My sweet tooth loved it 👌👍. We love messing about in the kitchen and thank you for all your help. 🥰😍❤️😘👍
yes graham , we always called it treacle pud and those two look so good. were they very sweet though, although with a bit of custard oh my goodness that would be tasty. his lordship would be in heaven , he,s got such a sweet tooth. these roads are begining to cost people a fortune in repairs, i feel very sorry for motorbike riders they take their lives in their hands when it rains as you dont know whats a puddle or a deep pot hole. . im glad that you and wendy are safe and got home ok take care love to you bothxxxx
Hi Grace, they were sweet and so nice with custard. Another memory link for us all, Pete and me in heaven together mi duck 👌. The car was a worry but we had good help from nice people. We were pleased to be home, we always are though 🏠. Thank you both, love from Graham and Wendy xxx
Oh graham and wendy those 2 cakes look so nice wendy I think you should had the cake from Graham he's a proper cakey brains I think he would eat cake for breakfast dinner And tea and supper love fran ❤❤xxx
@@grahamgetsabout2672 When I pick Heidi up from her football camp tomorrow afternoon we're going to attempt to bake chocolate cupcakes in the air fryer for the first time but we're cheating and using a box mix(tell Wendy I'm a cop out 😂) so fingers crossed they turn out ok Graham 🤞
@@pikricky hi Richard, that’s fantastic 👏👏👏👏👏👏👌👍 small cakes cook fast in the air fryer. Wendy’s made cakes with the kids and it’s good fun. Top man Richard 👏👏👏👏👏👍
Evening all, those cakes looked yummy, I'm still a bit nervious cooking cakes in airfryer but yours came out fantastic. Sorry to hear about ya car incident, the thing with big organisations is the staff can never seem to be able to make decision on their own. Good thing the taxi and garage peeps were helpful and understanding. Thanks Wendy and Graham for another great video. Always looking forward to the next addition.😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️
Hi Christine, evening all 😂😂😂😂 you sound like Dixon of Dock Green. I hope you don’t mind me laughing mi duck 👍❤️ the 1 lb cake tins are better than the 2lb in these air fryers give it a go. The garage and taxi were brilliant to us, we were lucky really. Not so lucky with haven though. I guess if the caravan is booked then they needed us out of the way. Thank you for making me smile Christine 🥰😍❤️😘👍
They look yummy as always, takes me back to my school days. We always called Golden Syrup, Treacle when I was a kid. That would be nice with a little custard. You had a stroke of luck with the garage and taxi driver for sure after your misfortune. Moral of the story is that your Ferarri Daytona was not designed to carry air fryers so next time you will just have to break the Rolls Royce out. You two live like a King andQueen.
Hi Vince, the doctor wouldn’t be happy but what a lovely pudding. We were a bit worried about the car but we had some good help just when we needed it. The lads were young and enthusiastic to help us, it gives you hope Vince. We hope you enjoyed your meal out but don’t let your wallet get hooked on the steroids mate. That’s made me think of the Rolling Stones, mothers little helpers 👌😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Graham and Wendy, they look delicious. So which machine do you think cooked them the best. I always call golden syrup treacle and i call the other one black treacle. I've just sent an email to your doctor telling him about your cakes, he said to save him some. LOL. I did some lamb rump chips in the pressure cooker yesterday. I seared them first then did them for 15 minutes. John said they could have done with a bit longer so next time i'll do them for 20 mins. He had one with his Sunday dinner and the other one he had for tea with creamed garlic mushrooms and onions and peas. I would normally use the gas hob, but then you've got to clean everything, the grids, the stainless steel top, the splash back and the cooker hood. I don't like leaving the job dirty. So what i did was i used the pressure cooker on sear. I put the chop in, added the mushrooms, onions and garlic paste and cooked them for a bit and added the cream. So all i have to wash up is the fish inside the pressure cooker instead of the full hob and everything. I don't know what's cheaper the gas hob or the pressure cooker but it's easier for me to clean as my back aches when i'm washing up
Hi Sandra, the email to my doctor 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 love it mi duck. I think you’re starting to love the pressure cooker as much as I do. If you keep using it you won’t have to lift it on and off the ( is it a shelf I can’t remember) it has so many uses and as you say cleaner. You can change the temperature as well. Lovely comment Sandra and hi to John 😍🥰❤️😘👍
I got a hob cover like Kerry from budget cooking uk had on her gas hob in her last house. So i have the pressure cooker stood on there with my bread bin. I have the slow cooker on top of the fridge freezer and the air fryer and microwave are on the worktop as well as the food mixer. I was going to lift everything off the hob to use the frying pan, i put a cloth on my dining room table and put them on there, when i thought i would just use the pressure cooker on sear and it worked out well. I store the sealon top of the pressure cooker so it's not as smelly. John said hi back, he doesn't get out much so he only has me to talk to, at least i have my sister and my friend
@@SandraDent-lf4xy well done Sandra. Because we have no room our slow cooker has been semi retired to an upstairs cupboard and we use the pressure cooker or rice cooker on slow cook. That might help. I’m finding the spare rings we bought have stopped the smelly ring because I can remove them and let them sit in fresh air. Is it working for you 😍🥰😘❤️👍
Hi Graham, what i've been doing is soaking the ring after use in vinegar, lemon juice and fairy liquid with hot water, it does help but there is still a faint smell, i also do what you do and leave the ring sitting on top of the pressure cooker. I just give it a quick wash again before i use it with it being out in the open air. I did think about putting the seal on a cupboard but i was worried it would make the cupboard smell. I haven't used the new ones yet as i don't want them to get smelly. I'm going to use the red one for sponge puddings. I never thought to use the pressure cooker as a slow cooker, i keep forgetting about the different functions.
@@SandraDent-lf4xy thank you Sandra, I thought you might have forgotten about the slow cooker function. I’m just the same mi duck, we all need reminders don’t we. I just keep changing the rings round so far and it seems the fresh air does them good. Then again my sense of smell is not so good. ❤️😍🥰😘
Oh my Graham, what a story about your car, and such a palava, you would have thought the caravan site would have been more sympathetic to circumstances beyond your control. Those golden syrup cakes look delicious, i could just have taken a bite out of that slice. Yes definitely golden syrup, treacle is dark brown in colour. What great cakes, thanks for yet another great video 💯👍💕✋❤️💐
