    this was the only video I found that pointed me in the right direction. I have a 2003 Honda Accord, it was a slightly different location, but still right by the oil filter. All of the other videos were either different or not very informative. Thanks for uploading this BOXCHEVY RIDER!

    Hi there,
    Thanks for putting this video here… you never know who might need just the right piece of information like this video down the road..
    I needed it today… 5 years after you put it on TH-cam.
    Thanks man

    Good video. Needed this didn't realize it was behind that shield thing. Thanks. Also, it's the right side of the car not the left.its based off as if you were sitting in the seat driving. Passenger is right drive is left. I know it's weird, but as a mechanic that's how it is. If u say left side for the passenger say, u need a front passenger strut, and u call part store and order the left side it's gonna be for the driver side. Not being a **** just giving you some helpful info since u showed me where this damn sensor was at :)

      I think this just went out on my car. Has to be Winter related. Did you have to drain any fluids prior to removing the sensor?

    Having P0339 code on my accord as well, replaced the crankshaft sensor but code still appears and extended cranking still occurs, did you have this same issue?

    • @endl3sdrmzz
      @endl3sdrmzz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recently got this code as I was driving. Engine light came up but I haven't had issues with the driving though. I bought a crank sensor replacement just in case. How goes your car now?

    Did you had to do a relearn procedure when after replacing the crank sensor or you just disconnect the negative terminal from the battery before doing the replacement? As far as I know, taking the negative terminal cable off would reset the computer.

    • @boxchevyrider88
      @boxchevyrider88  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jus disconnected the terminal.

      I ordered a replacement crank sensor from amazon. Before it arrived, I decided to try a fuel system cleaner. Later that night I was surprised that it turned off the check engine light. The error code it thrown at me before was a P0399. The light been off for the 3rd day now. I figured that it could be a possible carbon build up. I used to have the code P0420 which was a bad catalytic converter but that wasn't the case. I see how important it is to keep the car maintained. I always keep up with the oil changes on schedule as well as other fluids.

      It's the same generation (8th gen), if you have the same 2.4 liter engine the crank position sensor will be the same as well.
