Theres another one on this type of coarse a skier hits the gate wrong and rips his artery from his groin, as he slides down he sits up for 2 seconds and then lays back down dead...

@@wor53lg50 I´m trying to wrap my head around what you´re saying but I really don´t get it. This guy ripped his guts open, passed out shortly after and died one day later in a hospital. It just felt like you´re debating on who is on the right side, while Drxy qt was just correcting you because Reinstadler did in fact not "lay back down dead" as you mentioned. The FIS sanctioning body could easily reduce the speed of these courses by almost 50% and the competition would still be great. No reason to kill skiers or injure them for life. Shame on the FIS. Ridiculous.
Agree. They nearly killed Body Miller too. Birds of Prey event. They used cheaper, rigid poles in the ground. He hit one and got badly injured- career ending.
Maier hat sich nicht mal verletzt. Sah spektakulär aus, aber Horror ist definitiv anders. Wenn man die Verletzungen von Kryenbühl so ansieht, ist Kryenbühls Sturz definitiv mehr Horror.
Folks do not realize how STEEP these courses really are. From a skiing background this shits OFF THE ⛓
I always say that when i watch with friends. The camera cannot do it justice.

I have seen slopes like this for myself and i could get down safely, but slowly.
I do. I skied one once. That was enough.

Did he survived?
@@nsabaeugenie4986 yep
Man, tbh you can destroy your knees skiing at 5km per hour, those things are against Knees
It's pure survival all the way. Kudos to everyone who can make it
A brave skier, hope he’s going to be ok.
According to the timing trap just before, he was doing circa 100mph when he fell.....
exactly 91,7 mph
Wow, really 100 mph?, 160 Km/h? A lot of energy in that fault!
Yup, around 146-147km/h 😣

No they cant and shouldn’t. Downhill racing is downhill racing and not a giant slalom. Its about going 130+ kmh and jumping
