I'm seeing Coldplay live in September. "Byutiful" (however the heck you spell it) is on the setlist. I seriously hope they freaking changed their minds lol.
I don’t mind this album. Keeping in mind that I’m an absolute Coldplay shill. I really don’t think they could ever make something that I actively dislike. But even with that said. This is the first Coldplay album where I understand the hate. All of their previous albums have been so unnecessarily shit on just because it’s “Coldplay” and it pisses me off. But to the people who hate Music of the Spheres: Even though I still like it, this time I actually see where you’re coming from.
I've been a fan of them ever since I can remember. I actually defended Mylo Xyloto and AHFOD, but this time is different. I lost all interest in the album since they announced that BTS song, I haven't even heard the full thing cause I simply don't care.
I have a job in a supermarket rn and I constantly hear Higher Power and Universe on the radio. They have their own selection of around 40 songs that play every day. It sucks so bad.
We should have him react to the good Coldplay records (parachutes to viva)I’d be interested in seeing what he thinks of them especially after the radio head reviews considering Radiohead’s influence of Coldplay
Higher power is my guilt pleasure. I feel like I shouldn’t like it but I keep bopping to it Coloratura is a master piece though. The rest of the album Is an oof
i'd really love it if you were to react to some bts, i feel like most don't see them for their artistry because of how the american media makes them appear. their albums are very diverse and complex, and have some of the most moving and relatable lyrics i've gotten the chance to hear. i'd recommend you check out their latest project BE, as it was all self-produced from top to bottom and is imo their best work. i'd love to hear your thoughts!!
Nah he would shit on BE big time i can almost see his reaction to fly to my room 🙃, maybe an older project but i also feel like he would not pay attention to the lyrics which are kinda the biggest thing bts pride themselves in
Honestly as a longtime Coldplay fan I remember when Ghost Stories first came out, it was the first Coldplay album that I just didn’t really vibe with. It took awhile to grow on me, (particularly A Sky Full of Stars) which now I really like it, but objectively some of the songs of there were actually really good like Midnight, O, Always in My Head. They just weren’t all crafted to their fullest potential, but I think it just took awhile for me to get used to it anyway and what it was going for, and now in hindsight I can see that it did execute what it set out to do pretty well, but Music of The Spheres makes Ghost Stories seem like a masterpiece! And that’s saying something when compared to A Rush of Blood to the Head, or Viva, Ghost Stories is just mediocre. For me there’s only 2 songs I like from Music of the Spheres. Coloratura & ♾. My rating would be a 4/10.
Me and my friends joked about the song title Byutiful sounding like a discord kitten thing and when the song came on and it sounded like that too we just bursted out laughing
The saddest part for me is actally that a BTS x Coldplay collab could actually have been a good one since both acts have produced really nice and well rounded songs before. but instead of creating something intelligent and compelling they settled for basic pop shit bc it would appeal to the biggest audience
I genuinely enjoy the more rock-oriented sound of Coldplay's first four albums, lots of good songs in there. But unfortunately, everything since Mylo Xyloto has been... dull. I get it, bands need to evolve their style, but I wish Coldplay did it in a more interesting style that wasn't.... generic. I guess it's hard to be original these days with so much in the history of music having been done already.
I’m an old Coldplay fan. Their first three albums are so amazing, but after that they really lost me. Some good songs here and there, but that’s it. I did see them live in 2016, which was a fantastic show!
@@jasas541 I mean AROBTTH is my favourite Coldplay album man, however I think Viva is their best album objectively because there isn’t any dubs on it, whereas with AROBTTH, even the best songs off their are better than the best songs off Viva, but Green Eyes was the one dub that stops the album from being a 10/10 for me. I wouldn’t be alone in saying that Green Eyes is the weakest song off AROBTTH and least resonating, but as I said AROBTTH is still my personal favourite, but objectively, Viva was crafted much better, a lot more artsy, and has better lyrics, but sonically nothing comes close to the sound that AROBTTH encapsulates! Both albums are both very different to of course!
This is the type of album that really dysfunctional older married couples listen to when they book a vacation at some rinky dink midwest bed and breakfast with a pool.

On the one hand, Talk and Fix You are some of the best songs ever made, on the other, you have a bunch of below average songs and just a few of them managing to shakily stay on average, X&Y is the only other song that I can recommend a listen to on this album but just barely) 6. Ghost Stories (Love the album but it can’t compete with the top 5 in my opinion, also another’s arms is kind of a boring listen not gonna lie) 5. Everyday Life (Criminally Underrated by everyone who isn’t a Coldplay fan, their most organic and yet complex sound to date makes for one of the best albums ever) 2. Viva La Vida or Death and all his friends (What more do I have to say? Just give it a listen then come back and agree with me. And it makes for an even better album when you combine the Prospekt’s March EP with it) 1. A Rush Of Blood to the Head (The Scientist, Clocks, God put a a smile upon your face, In my place, Politik, Green Eyes, Amsterdam, Warning Sign need I say more? This is a top 50 album of all time and Coldplay’s best one to date)

I love Coldplay but we have to accept that this is definitely not a good album. Listen man, they are capable of doing really great things when they really want to, but i don’t know if it’s because they are trying to apply to the masses, for the upcoming 2022 tour, or just because they don’t care at all anymore, that they end up doing things like this. It’s incredible how you listen to that song with Selena Gomez and think “these is the same people that wrote violet hill, spies, god put a smile upon your face, or fix you." It’s crazy, and I hate to admit it but I feel they have sold out completely.
Let me ask you this...Everyday Life was adored by 'true' fans but commercially speaking, was sold less than 10% than what AHFOD did. They already said they wanted to collab with certain artists and make album suited to play live. Spngs like POTP and humankind are the ones that make their tours what it is. Give me a chance to see them live with this album and I'll jump for it. Just because they experiment more does not mean they "sold out". Want to listen to their older songs? feel free they aren't going anywhere.
Love radiohead. Always had a soft spot for Coldplay up to MX, then got bored. That said, I don’t really get the hate this album is getting tbh. Coldplay have never had massively insightful messages / great lyrics. If you don’t like their outsized fuzzed out broad brush emotion then yeah, it won’t work, but that doesn’t mean they fail at what they set out to do. Humankind, My Universe, Coloratura, Biutyful, Higher Power are all very catchy and - crucially - lots of fun to sing along to! I also disagree that thematically things don’t add up - seems sonically and thematically pretty similar throughout.
Everyday life was such a beautiful album and they follow with this... I don't like this album. But it is perfect for halloween. A super mix bag of candy that if you eat a lot of them you will get sick. But thats coldplay albums in general. ( my favorite still is Everyday life )
Good observations! It's so true, it's 2021 and Coldplay is putting out Monkey Ball beats. I don't know why Chris Martin has always seemed like he has to try and be so deep and all-encompassing. It's just a bunch of pretentious nothingings, but they have the nerve to present it like it's a well thought out concept/world/art they have created.
Gotta be honest, I did liked some songs, specially ♾, humankind and people of the pride because it reminded me to Muse’s music style, and Coloratura is an art piece for me, 10 minutes with different sections, I like that
I mean on first listen anyone is gonna go 🤨 but two months later I love everything about this album. I guess people are upset it’s not about how sad the world is and how terrible everything is? Why must “good” music in most people’s eyes mean “dreadful and depressing” I’m a massive Radiohead fan and Coldplay fan. My dad is a lifelong metalhead, a guitarist, and he is massively into Coldplay after I got him into it. His favorite albums to listen to? This and AHFOD.
I think because sadness at least in my opinion is an inherently more complex emotion then happiness, there are far more ways to express it then happiness and language reflects that, there’s only a few ways to say happy, but tons of ways to express sadness. That’s not to say there are no good happy albums, a lot of people agree Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa is her best album so far and it’s a very upbeat sounding album

The fact that pitchfork just casually cites "byutiful" as the best song lmao, I worry about that site sometimes
Yeah. It’s a good song don’t get me wrong, but Coloratura is by far one of the best songs of all time.
Then again, they gave X&Y a 4.9/10.
I feel the same way I could never hate it but I can sorta see why, I still really enjoy some of these songs
I feel the same way
I've been a fan of them ever since I can remember. I actually defended Mylo Xyloto and AHFOD, but this time is different. I lost all interest in the album since they announced that BTS song, I haven't even heard the full thing cause I simply don't care.
@@wilberts.cubero3629 have you listened to Coloratura though?
@@AnnohaSF Yeah Coloratura is great, by far the best track they've released in a while. I wish the album was just Coloratura 4 times in a row lol
Music of the Spheres. *a cube appears at the corner*
There's an impostor among us.
I have a job in a supermarket rn and I constantly hear Higher Power and Universe on the radio. They have their own selection of around 40 songs that play every day. It sucks so bad.
I feel you on such a personal level. These last 2 months, radio has been horribly worse than usual
why does it suck?
@@strikerbowls791 Hearing a mediocre generic song played over and over again for hours doesn’t sound like fun
We should have him react to the good Coldplay records (parachutes to viva)I’d be interested in seeing what he thinks of them especially after the radio head reviews considering Radiohead’s influence of Coldplay
Higher power is my guilt pleasure. I feel like I shouldn’t like it but I keep bopping to it
Coloratura is a master piece though.
Nah he would shit on BE big time i can almost see his reaction to fly to my room 🙃, maybe an older project but i also feel like he would not pay attention to the lyrics which are kinda the biggest thing bts pride themselves in
If he reacts to map of the soul 7 I feel like he’ll appreciate it idk and the lyrics haha
I enjoyed this album but your reaction is hilarious
watching your videos literally always makes my day, this review is 11/10
At least coloratura could mean better projects in the future
COPIUM
This video is literally a thousand times better than the fucking album. I laughed so much watching the video. Loved it.
That space blanket looks so cozy
Brad why you always do your reactions after not sleeping like 80 hours straight?
it's the adhd (source: i also have adhd)
After AM, Brad's upgraded his sleep accessories
Me and my friends joked about the song title Byutiful sounding like a discord kitten thing and when the song came on and it sounded like that too we just bursted out laughing
At least you laughed a lot, kkkkkkkkk It's good to see you well. kisses from Brazil Brad
This is like one of your best videos ever
10:30 better than any moment in the album tbh
Damn I was so excited about this álbum 🥺
Music of the Spheres a.k.a. Coloratura and 10 b-sides
The saddest part for me is actally that a BTS x Coldplay collab could actually have been a good one since both acts have produced really nice and well rounded songs before. but instead of creating something intelligent and compelling they settled for basic pop shit bc it would appeal to the biggest audience
6:52 this fucking killed me
I feel like Fantano's gonna give it 2/10
He really did lmao
@@pleasegivemeausername Call me prophet xD
HOW
I have a feeling that no matter what Coldplay does, you'll hate it anyway...
This album is catholic Tame Impala
I genuinely enjoy the more rock-oriented sound of Coldplay's first four albums, lots of good songs in there. But unfortunately, everything since Mylo Xyloto has been... dull.
I get it, bands need to evolve their style, but I wish Coldplay did it in a more interesting style that wasn't.... generic. I guess it's hard to be original these days with so much in the history of music having been done already.
i feel like this is like if Corey feldman coldplay and pearl jam had a baby
I’m an old Coldplay fan. Their first three albums are so amazing, but after that they really lost me. Some good songs here and there, but that’s it. I did see them live in 2016, which was a fantastic show!
bruh, Viva La Vida is a Brian Eno masterclass.
Really? You didn’t like Viva? That’s objectively their best album imo!
@@MusicLover-kz6rc A Rush of Blood to the Head easily feels like their best by far
@@jasas541 Update: Brad just reacted to AROBTTH and it seems that Green Eyes was his least favourite too lol
The monkey ball showing up inside of the album artwork cracked me up
10:26 Wraps up how I felt listening to this album
I liked this album but I'm not gonna lie, I thoroughly enjoyed you shitting on it 😂😂
This is the type of album that really dysfunctional older married couples listen to when they book a vacation at some rinky dink midwest bed and breakfast with a pool.
BTS are massive fans of Coldplay, and it was them who asked if they could collaborate with Coldplay. P.S. if you cite My Universe as the crappest track, then I say it’s got to be a solid album. Thanks to you I’ll buy it.
Im a big fan of Coldplay, and this album is ok, by know maybe the worst, but I like a lot your reaction, it was a funny experience.
I don't care what you think beutiful is really beautiful song, and I like it more than a human heart
Had to come back to this video to say that Higher Power was in the new BMW commercial. So brad wasn’t really wrong
After listening Coloratura i thought “maybe they are gonna be a little experimental and proggy after all these poppy shitty albums”. But no, they made the ultimate imagine dragons shitfest
imagine dragons>music of the spheres
coldplay>imagine dragons
Ya know, you have the personally of an early 2000’s Chris Martin. Pretty much spot in to his crazy humour and stage presence back then. As a Coldplay fan of many years, I can’t disagree with anything you said. TRUCKS! Nailed it!
Coldplay Album Ranking cuz why not
9. Music of the Spheres (even Coloratura couldn’t save it from being dead last)
8. AHFOD (The title track and Birds are some of their best pop work but aside from that the rest of the album is either hot garbage or below average)
7. X&Y (controversial I know but hear me out. On the one hand, Talk and Fix You are some of the best songs ever made, on the other, you have a bunch of below average songs and just a few of them managing to shakily stay on average, X&Y is the only other song that I can recommend a listen to on this album but just barely)
6. Ghost Stories (Love the album but it can’t compete with the top 5 in my opinion, also another’s arms is kind of a boring listen not gonna lie)
5. Parachutes (another controversial one, I get it but I do love the album, it’s just that I think the next 4 are better)
4. Mylo Xyloto (One of the best albums of all time that just does not get talked about as much as it should)
3. Everyday Life (Criminally Underrated by everyone who isn’t a Coldplay fan, their most organic and yet complex sound to date makes for one of the best albums ever)
2. Viva La Vida or Death and all his friends (What more do I have to say? Just give it a listen then come back and agree with me. And it makes for an even better album when you combine the Prospekt’s March EP with it)
1. A Rush Of Blood to the Head (The Scientist, Clocks, God put a a smile upon your face, In my place, Politik, Green Eyes, Amsterdam, Warning Sign need I say more? This is a top 50 album of all time and Coldplay’s best one to date)
a head full of spheres LOL
What hapenned to coldplay? Their last album was experimental, mature and a lot of different ideas. Why they got back to pop?
cause they got a world tour coming and they gotta appeal to more young people and not just the boomers
Thank you for the birthday present, Brad!
When "People of the Pride" comes on and a Ford ad plays in the background I almost died of laughter
“I feel like I was just shot directly in the face with a glitter cannon” MIC DROP!!!
Dont get me wrong, i fucking love Parachutes and a lot of Coldplay albums. But after hearing this, i was like ‘what… why?’ The only good thing about it is the last track ‘coloratura’. Brad if you are going to review Coldplay then do their first few albums, they have some really good songs on them. Other than that this was BY FAR the worst coldplay record. Its such a shame, like i get they were being more cheesy and poppy and its not for everyone but yeah compared to other things they have put out… its just meh.
You should do what you are doing with the Radiohead reaction, and start from the beginning :))
After this he reacted to AROBTTH on the same stream
@@adhyadhyaksa and what was he's reaction? Positive? :)
@@jasas541 i was only there for like 10 minutes because i had workout plans lol, but i remember him shitting on the lyrics on the first few songs and thinking the songs themselves were decent
@@adhyadhyaksa well that album is probably the one that could be called very close to a masterpiece (sorry, in my opinion, Coldplay still hasn't got an album that could be called a true masterpiece) and it makes me sad how they come to an album like Music of the Spheres
@@jasas541 i think i remember brad saying he likes Viva la Vida. Not really of a coldplay fan myself but Viva was a really good album imo
Listen to Viva La Vida, X and Y, A Rush of Blood, Parachutes, and Ghost Stories these were amazing albums.
Everyday Life as well
I love Coldplay but we have to accept that this is definitely not a good album.
I feel your pain. It’s so disappointing
Same guys that made the title track A Rush Of Blood To The Head :(
@@MauricioJara 😭😭
Let me ask you this...Everyday Life was adored by 'true' fans but commercially speaking, was sold less than 10% than what AHFOD did.
They already said they wanted to collab with certain artists and make album suited to play live. Spngs like POTP and humankind are the ones that make their tours what it is. Give me a chance to see them live with this album and I'll jump for it.
Just because they experiment more does not mean they "sold out". Want to listen to their older songs? feel free they aren't going anywhere.
2:23 I lost it here 💀
Love radiohead.
WEEZER NEXT BRAD PLZ ILL GIVE U ALL MY POKÉMON CARDS
Everyday life was such a beautiful album and they follow with this... I don't like this album. But it is perfect for halloween. A super mix bag of candy that if you eat a lot of them you will get sick. But thats coldplay albums in general. ( my favorite still is Everyday life )
Music of the tears
Music For Your Fears
Hey Brad you should check out the band "Catfish and the Bottlemen", especially the album "The Balance" i think you would like it
I knew my taste in music was peculiar but never thought it was that bad 'til I heard your thoughts on my favourite track, 🐝utiful...
Parachutes is a legitimately phenomenal album by Coldplay. HEAVILY inspired by Radiohead, its actually really good
2 years late but…. don’t you shiv-errrrrrrrrrrr
Coloratura is a smiling ball.
1:22 I literally made a mashup of these two songs
Some of these lyrics sound like some of the stuff I wrote when I was 13 then removed again a week later from the cringe
Good observations! It's so true, it's 2021 and Coldplay is putting out Monkey Ball beats. I don't know why Chris Martin has always seemed like he has to try and be so deep and all-encompassing. It's just a bunch of pretentious nothingings, but they have the nerve to present it like it's a well thought out concept/world/art they have created.
there are so many emojis in space
Gotta be honest, I did liked some songs, specially ♾, humankind and people of the pride because it reminded me to Muse’s music style, and Coloratura is an art piece for me, 10 minutes with different sections, I like that
Finally I can quit my sleeping pills
Brad made me feel better in his reaction than I did spending 12.99 on this dumb album 😂
finally, an album that I can sleep to it, I was tired of scaled and icy
Isn’t it the point to be tired because of scaled and icy?
I mean on first listen anyone is gonna go 🤨 but two months later I love everything about this album. I guess people are upset it’s not about how sad the world is and how terrible everything is? Why must “good” music in most people’s eyes mean “dreadful and depressing”
I’m a massive Radiohead fan and Coldplay fan.
Can I just say...you have a Chris Martin-shaped head 🧐
I thought ❤ was pretty good, probably just because I really like Jacob Collier
Lmaoooooo I literally immediately thought of a car commercial also
