Okay but WHY THE FUCK AM I GETTING RECCOMENDED THUNDER BY IMAGINE DRAGONS EVERYTIME I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS I FUCKING HATE IMAGINE DRAGONS
Lucky, I got Shape Of You
I GOT BELIEVER I'M- I HATE IT 😭
I got fucking Sugar so thats that
I go 1 thousand years......
Wait wtf how?
I've seen people defend this with "It's background music. You're not suppose to actually listen to it, you put it on and vibe to it" I remember calling something background music was an insult.
Ambience is the ultimate background music, it's truly an insult how they could call this offering from the Levine experience background music
Ambiance and lofi are a whole lot more engaging, innovative, and wholesome to listen to than this sorry excuse for an album from a formerly world-renowned pop-rock band.
If I wanted to put on some background music to vibe to, why would I pick this album? I would rather put on a playlist or live radio stream of lofi, ambient, or new age music. Cause the artists who make those types of music actually sound like their trying to innovate or contribute something new to those genres. 🎶 🎵
The thought of forcing myself to vibe to an album like this disgusts me
That's an insult to background music
You + autotune = heaven fam

This sounds like generic music that plays at some clothing stores or something
Yeah, like McDonald's
Yep. It's the "I'm not buying a shirt here" album.
As a Target employee I can 100% confirm this is spot on
And one day it will inspire an ironic music genre. The 2040s equivalent of retrowave.
i actually first heard it in a clothing store
You know an album is bad when Brad doesn’t even give the songs ratings.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA
That juiceworld line about death is still better than what I THOUGHT I heard...
"Have you ever had a make out session with dad?"
LMAO SAME
The Hub type beat
Adam Levine: Why are there no other bands but us anymore though? Where did the real music go?
Also Adam Levine: goes completely sellout for years and releases their most sellout and worst album to date
did he say that?
@@Daniel.............. he said and I quote "I feel like there aren’t any bands anymore, you know? That’s the thing that makes me kind of sad, is that there were just bands. There’s no bands anymore, and I feel like they’re a dying breed."
@@elijahahmed568 oof😩so deep
He's right, there are no bands anymore in the mainstream...that includes them too...
They've become sellouts straight after they released their first 2 albums basically
@Kill Me right... What bands are we talking about?
Coldplay?
Why is it that I catch myself wondering where it all went wrong for the “band” more times than I should. It honestly is a shame. ‘Songs about Jane’ actually has some really good tracks namely ‘This Love’, ‘She Will Be Loved’, ‘and Sunday Morning’, and I’m also quite fond of ‘Misery’ from ‘Hands All Over’. And with tracks like these it’s all only 2-5 people on the writhing credits, not to mention it’s Adam AND his band members. But nowadays, with every single release Maroon 5 becomes less and less of an actual band, and more of Adam Levine (and others), trying to do whatever the hell is popular, with writing credits from everyone single exec from the music industry, except for god forbid any of the members who aren’t Adam.
Songs about Jane and IWBSBL are incredible albums. Such a shame to see them fall off so hard.
YES. They're a great band that simply stopped being a band a long time ago
Moves Like Jagger was the beginning of the end
Its especially surprising listening to their super old stuff as Kara's Flowers. Just listen to the album "...We like digging?" The whole vibe is different from even "Songs about Jane", very raw and heavy. They really have been slowly selling out more and more over the course of the band's existence.
@@corgio1260 Too true.
What bothers me with them the most is that there are 7? band members and no instrument sounds in their songs I mean most of the times we forget that it's a band and not a sellout solo artist
If Maroon 5 didn't start out as such a great band and they had always been like this, I probably wouldn't have despised this album as much as I do.
Ikr, it's depressing to see, how did we get from harder to breathe to this :(
It's so depressing how can they write something as good as Harder to Breathe and turn around and write fucking memories
@@samuelsteiner3854 it's Moves Like Jagger's fault. After how popular that song got, Adam realized that his band didn't need to make good music to make money, and he could just make generic pop music without them and feature random artists instead.
M5 was never good
@@Messer_Antisoma not true
Easiest job in music has gotta be being one of the other five or whatever members of Maroon 5, don't even have to spend a day in the studio. Did they even know this was being made?
Exactly what I was thinking. The other members weren't even on the album cover and I doubt they even knew this album came out when it did
It feels like the album was made by Adam and a drumpad.
This sounds so generic that vaporwave artists are gonna be sampling it in 20 years
The 80s had plenty of neat sounds for vaporwave artists to sample. 2020s just got absolutely nothin for the 40s vaporwave scene.
Music you can mashup to everything because it's so generic.
Make it 10. Last offer. Give it or take it
Bruh, they'd probably make a decent meal out of these dumpster juice joints
That would be awful
No one asked you to torture yourself with this listen, please we care for you
I forgot this band existed
Lucky
Ok
same... i thought adam went solo and maroon5 wasnt a thing anymore
I would've as well if I stopped looking at the charts ages ago but there is just so much that interests me about said charts that this "band" cannot seem to be erased from my mind as somebody keeps giving them chart positions
This is "Maroon 49 writers and a sellout" now
The fact that Stevie Nicks is on this album is tragic
please say sike
@@Nel_Annette shes actually on there somehow.
And that is the best song on that album.
at least she probably got a pretty penny for it.
At least queen got her paycheck
This isn't music. It's trend-chasing, corporate-approved audio product.
"Corporate-approved audio product" gonna have to steal that one lol
I just want them to call it quits. They literally bring f all to the music world. Does anyone genuinely listen to M5?
Also, remember when Adam said rock is dead and hiphop is where it is these days? And THIS is the best they can do? Byeeeee
He needs to stop pretending like they are still together and just release music under his name because this is causing confusion
Their old albums are nice
My ex likes Maroon Five
yes, me and thousands of other fans listen, because we don't summarize a band's work and history in one album ;)
It's already gone gold in the US with sales and streams.
And with this album having:
Megan thee stallion
Juice WRLD
Nipsey Hussle
YG
H.E.R.
Not to mention,
Anuel AA
Tainy
You have a built in audience.
The joys of being on interscope Records
Adam can now also say he isn't just a backpacker, he has respect for the "urban audiences"
If maroon 5 stopped making music 6years ago, they would've been remembered as icons.. but Adam can't seem to stop himself from wiping his ass with dollar bills.
lmao but only for like their first few albums probably
@@Zcrub yeah but atleast their songs from around 2012 aren't bad enough to taint their image..
remembered as WHAT?
@@avgoulakixo2825 they where poppin in 2000's
Maroon 5? Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
How? They are CONSTANTLY on the radio and other music platforms.
The reason Maroon 5 has that many streams is because it's the most common thing to play at a convenient/grocery store all across the country. No one is actually a fan of Maroon 5 or this album, quite literally background music when your shopping.
Brad's hair is starting to look white. He is no longer a tøp stan, now he is Elsa

I just wanna know how there are so many guys in maroon 5. U could make their music with two people, even just Levine and a drum pad. And this album just sucked whatever soul out of my ginger ass, and left me just slumped in my chair, wanting to go to sleep. Beyond shit
I thought it WAS just Adam and a drum machine.
Didn't even know Memories was a Maroon 5 song. I had to fight through hearing that song so many times when my mom put on the radio.
Do you have any headphones and a device with your own tunes?! I hear that cures the horror and stops it from occurring again
The song is awful you must have no brain function to like it. The word Memories is so much more interesting than the actual song.
Maroon 5 hasn't been a band in like 14yrs since the It Won't Be Soon Before Long album. That was the last real album they put out. Anything after 2007 has nothing to do with the band anymore. An album that takes 49 writers isn't about the band because if it was, they wouldn't need that many writers.
@Levine except your profile picture is this abomination of a release
Maroon 5 needs to get their shit together. I somehow miss their old times.
take me back to songs about jane and it wont be soon before long :(
Ya I suppose. They can definitely do better. But I personally don’t think they were ever that good. I’ve never liked them anyways.
The first 3 albums were awesome
songs about jane was seriously pretty good. everything since has been a decline
Same thing happened with Chicago, their first few albums were absolute flames and apparently I've heard their more later work isn't that good
i feel so bad for their guitarist
"guitarist"
Is there a guitarist
@@j.d.t.5761 that’s the point
@@Brunzer2shit that’s the point
How can a band have 8 or so members but no guitarisr
Brad have you thought of doing a Classic albums Reactions. Like Pixies, King Crimson, Sonic youth and other iconic bands/acts. Reacting to good music for a change.
Daydream Nation reaction would be such an interesting video.
@@Westonm Would be the most interesting album reaction he's done so far, except for maybe Loveless. I don't think he's heard anything like Daydream Nation before.
Listening to good music isn’t as funny though
@@TheCycloneHunter I understand, but at least change it up a bit, all of these albums sound so similar, doesn't matter if it's a "so bad it's good", just plain bad and cringe, purposefully bad, a fun album, a classic album, a more subtle, experimental record. he chooses albums with very similar styles, approaches, from similar time periods and scenes. How about changing it up a bit, leaving the comfort zone for once, something completely new and refreshing. I mean just look at his Loveless reaction, and now it's one of his favorite albums. He says he is more motivated now, but for a while he was complaining about his fatigue with music and if you check out his AOTY reviews and rankings I think it is clear why, just the same stuff over and over again. I don't think re-reacting to TOP and Readiohead albums was a good idea, I think it was just spinning in circles. Imo he should have done something new like reacting to the Downward Spiral which he said he is planning to do.
no, all of these songs are good, you just don't know the lore
The best defense for any garbage pop album
What did Maroon 5 just devolve into
You mean Adam Levine and trap beats
The Adam Levine Ego Experience
Adam Levine and the Scene
The rock decided tiptoe outta them thanks to Levine
Adam "Hot girls don't listen to rock" Levine
3:00 The existence of soul music implies the existence of soulless music.
Funny but also sad :(
The continued existence of Maroon 5 proves the existence of soulless music.
this album is just soda water
How in the actual EFF do you manage to make STEVIE NICKS sound SOULESS?
I'm not an expert on Stevie Nicks' works, but she's a respectable artist and that song sounded like an insult
@@ejenplitobarces I agree. I also find it bizarre, because she's renowned for the tone & timbre of her voice, its richness & soulfulness. They squandered her talent & gifts, & put a "blah" filter over everything...
They heard about that viral video of that guy skateboarding drinking Gatorade and listening to Fleetwood Mac and the production team thought "hey, Stevie Nicks is marketable right now, we should have her do something pointless on the new Maroon 5 album" the end.
Cant wait for fantano's review
Memories is like Adam Levine trying to be like Frank Ocean but he doesn't know how
autouned farts have more soul than this thing
At least it would be made to laugh at.
If what Maroon 5 is trying to do is make music for ever genre so all music listeners can enjoy them that would be fine. And some people defend this album with that reasoning. But even Adam himself has said that he’s following what’s popular so him and his “band” can stay popular.
They need to stop pretending like they're still a band
I didn't even know they even released a new album. 😂
1:06 Deadass I could listen to you sing Beautiful Mistakes for hours.
you should totally listen to immunity by clairo. it’s softer but the production is really good and i just feel like you might like it
This is absolutely foul, its a robery, stealing from emo trap and hip hp fans by exploiting nipsey and juice, the old heads with stevy nicks, the latin demograph with anuel and the tiktok market with derulo. I think this is the most offensive album ive heard
I lost it at the autotune part lmaooo
I wouldn't but thanks Bradley
I wasn't even aware they still made music. I feel like their style was really benefited by the times, so they maybe should have left it in the past.
I first listened to this album the day it came out, and at first I got hooked. And I did not hate it that much, but after I listened to their other albums like Overexposed and IWBSBL and Red Pill Blues, I realized how melancholy and white-noisy it is that it can knock someone out cold to Dreamland. As a songwriter and producer tho, I will say the production is half-decent and frankly the songwriting is ok, but I have heard better
To heal and rejuvenate your ears from this album, you should do a reaction to Maroon 5’s album “Songs About Jane”.
I really wish they'd go back to rock... would have been a good timing when aritsts like Mother mother, mitski, poppy, sir chloe, and the oozes are rising and trending
Those early M5 tracks that became popular in the 2000’s are still catchy and decent. Despite the fact my mom overplayed them when I was young.
WHY ADAM WHY I USED TO LOVE YOU :(((((
Is it just me, or Memories seems that could literally be a song from 2015?
My favorite ska band
In my oppinon they should've continued the same thing they did with songs about Jane like
Rock is popular in its own right and why not collaborate with popular artists that r alive but with a pop rock or stadium rock sound?
And to make insult to injury the album name is jordi because they're longtime producer died
HEY BRAD
REVIEW DANNY ELFMAN’S NEW SOLO ALBUM “BIG MESS”
It’s his first in 30 years
“Helloooooo I’m Brad taste in music… I listen to music so you don’t have to!”
well shit, now i kinda wanna listen to it lol
Imagine pretending to be a fan of juice world or xxx or whoever and then give money to the people exploiting their deaths
Can’t we just call Maroon 5 what it really is now, Adam Levine?
A lot of the comments here states that M5 starts going downhill after ITWBSBL. I’m just curious, are people not liking Hands All Over? Bcs I think that album still has creative elements like the older ones and the songs are really good like Misery, Get Back in My Life, etc. Is there any reason for the dislikes? Just curious. I agree that the recents ones are extremely boring tho
Couldn’t agree more. Their first three are great and HaO is my favorite of their albums. 😎😎
I couldn't even watch the whole video without skipping through the songs
Make a parallel series where you review classic albums, as a bit of a contrast, and mix these terrible albums resctions with the classic ones.
My mouth dropped when I heard STEVIE NICKS is on this album
thank Brad, appreciate it👍🏻
This is less like a band and more like Adam Levine. If he wants go solo, go ahead. But don't advertise it like it is a Maroon 5.
Juice WRLD talks about death and dying a lot in his songs, I recommend you check out his music because he was extremely talented and freestyled just about every one of his songs
You look awesome Brad, hope you are good!
You forgot to add that "Memories" straight-up copies the chord progression and melodies of Pachabel's "Canon In D". Such a hack move.
THANK YOU, somebody had to say it! The fact that these boring, uninspired, lifeless songs have SO MANY LISTENS is mind boggling. I legitimately cannot see any appeal whatsoever.
Why even release it as an album when its just playlist fodder. Just release a dozen or so singles throughout the year every year and let the algorithms do their thing. Literally no reason to release them or promote them in batches or send them to reviewers so they can shit on it.
_"Hellooooo I'm the Music Critic, I react to it so _*_you_*_ don't have to."_

These dudes legit liked their own album lol.
Also, if "rock is dead" they can't make any better hip hop? Or Neo soul like they once did and was very good at? They can't paramore shit? I get that music is subjective but their has to be SOMETHING objective they are missing because this is right up my alley, I like pop, WHY isn't this hitting? They can't put in ANY energy at all?
What I'm saying is.....they can't even pretend that they want to be here? This is kinda insulting at this point. Plenty of people want to make a living out of music and they do this when they know they have at least one million streams in the bag?
Maroon 5 be like: "fuckin cope" with this new record. And the posthumous stuff? YUCK! why! I just hate this.
I misread maroon 5 as macaroon 5 in the title
You should react to the band," I dont know how but they found me," long name , I know but music is great
facts!!!
it has the same fuckin trap beat in 13 of the 12 songs of the album wtf
This is off topic but you look good in that purple color you’re wearing
I remember listening to this and skipping tons of songs. I only listened to 4 songs of the 14
Looking at the comments, I didn't know Maroon 5 had this many fans. I've only heard the radio hits like "this love", "Sunday morning" etc and I've never felt the need to find out more about the band.
Sunday Morning is great. If only they made more then one song in that style
That explains the name of this channel: Bad Taste In Music
Wait...
How do you think that Maroon 5 is good mus8c
@@ferencssalvoski3721 i never said that 😞
Bro how do you make an album of only end credits music
Nobody's Love is the best on the album imo, but that's probably because I've been conditioned to like it since they play it EVERY DAY where I work (same with Memories, but that one's not enjoyable at all)
Adam Levine completes his transformation into a reptile, the album
I understand the reviews over maroon 5 these days, but I also know that most of these negative reviews arise because of the "loss of identity".
Most musicians, nowadays, make generic music, but many get positive reviews and good grades because their works are based on pop, where they were born and grew up.
In the case of maroon 5, as long as they make pop music, they will always be criticized because they will always be compared to their old albums.
The fact is that they are not even making pop music now...just trash edm/trap songs. This album is 60% trap/hip hop and 40% pop/edm. If I listen Maroon 5, I want to hear pop music, not this garbage. And there aren't even big hits except Memories
i feel the pain and agony in brads face
They used to have such a good, distinct sound throughout their first 2 albums...
Where did it all go wrong ffs
how the fuck did blackbear get famous singing literally the exact same melody with the exact same flow on every single verse on his own songs and on features when Eden and Brakence both do blackbear's whole thing so much better with so much more personality and talent, i look at blackbear and i half expect him to offer me some xanax and then try to overcharge me for it
