I re-repair the IP Camera Tester 5200 which I made the mistake of putting 12VDC into one of its inputs, blowing its input protection circuit.

Nice solution on the fuse resistor. I still have not got a good pair of hot tweezers. Really need to find some. They really come in handy.

I am a firm believer that nobody should be scared admitting to making a mistake, we all make mistakes. At work we have a policy that if someone makes a mistake and owns up to it straight away and reports it then there are no consequences, BUT if someone tries to hide it instead they will face disciplinary action if they get caught, it helps to create a workplace where people are honest with each other and increases trust, more places should be like it!
Is that soldering iron a JBC ? I do it like that all the time with a Pace, but I use a gullwing tip. A JBC should not have a problem with that. I have tweesers but seldom use them. Hot air is faster
It’s a clone, it is a very good iron though, I just had the wrong tip on it and too little temperature, there is a large ground plan right there which was sucking the heat away.
Why don’t you add a capacitor so you don’t need the external cap?
Hi, I have appreciated your video. I have the same tester, and unfortunately my network port has blown as I plugged the cable to a faulty switch and had a backfeed on the POE. Where can I find the parts discription file to see what components blew? I cant read the code on the components as it's burnt. I would appreciate your feedback

I would have just used two soldering irons much cheaper than hot air tweezers. I have used a few hot air tweezers unfortunately anything good is expensive
Are you located in USA by any chance, i have an ipc9800 adh plus that wont charge, it works if but wont charge the battery, due to myself plugging it in a 48v charger by mistake

Hello, you can first check whether the battery is not working or the screen of the device has a problem.
You can replace the battery first, if it still cannot be turned on, remove the battery, connect the rechargeable battery to see if it can be turned on
