I had never used a poblano until I started watching you guys 2 years ago. Now I use them almost every weekend for my homemade chicken fajitas. Delicious!
Poblanos are used in Chile Rellenos. A dried Poblano is called Ancho. Often used in Enchilada Sauces, or Salsas. I'm glad you found a new food/pepper you enjoy! Cooking all about experimentation and trial & error.
@@swrconstructioninc.1158 jalapeño is 2500 to 8000 Scoville units. A poblano is around 1500. Adds the perfect amount of kick if a jalapeño with the seeds is to hot for your family (me haha).
@@swrconstructioninc.1158 yes what he said below. Poblano to me has almost no heat because I eat habaneros for fun haha. I would say it’s nicely below a jalapeño and above a green pepper at pretty much zero. They have such great flavor though really, give them a try!
I have absolutely no idea how youtube showed me this channel but i am absolutely addicted, thankyou for the humor, real talk, and actual skill, amazing!
First time commenting but I love all your videos. You remind me of my father who passed away 7 years ago. Watching you brings me happiness. Thank you Sam and the boys.
I always recommend my friends that wanna learn to cook or like cooking to your channel. I believe you're an amazing cook. I like your out of the box thinking.
Now there is the best steak sandwich I have seen and I have been making steak subs for 30 years. One great benefit for Sam and Sons is they are all well fed during the show.
Perfect timing. Bought a large amount of beautiful skirt steak at Sam's club, my work crew gonna love this this afternoon when I make it. Thanks for a great recipe Sam
Am I wrong for thinking mushrooms would have been a good addition to the vegetables? It looks FANTASTIC but I can't stop thinking of mushrooms with the veg.
Try tightly wrapping the sandwich like they do at a Latin Bodega, rest it for 5 minutes. It brings it together like nothing else! Love the Beef, peppers, onions, garlic and tequila. The roll even looked amazing, nice and toasted, -- perfect!
Love it! It's basically a Mexican cheesesteak! Been doing this for years, and always a hit. Will give the marinade a try! Thanks Sam. Keep up the great work guys.
Another one out of the park. Will definitely be making this. And no worries about loving the Poblano. I'm from new Mexico and I enjoy many chile peppers.
Looks amazing! Will have to make this soon. On a side note, had the privilege of visiting Sayulita many years ago and really enjoyed the experience. Thanks for sharing!
Sam - great marinade! We tried it twice, first time was amazing! Second time we roasted everything and added a little beef stock, the roasting of the veggies takes this marinade to a whole new level!!! Made the meat give everyone a party in their mouth!!!!
i supper recommend wraping it on some aluminum foil for a little bit (so it all gets packed and you don't drop so much filling) nice video as usual sam and little sams
Drove 2 acupolco Mexico from san Antonio in the late 80's stopped in a small mountain village ordered of a menu i couldn't understand and was delivered a flap steak with the same vibrant look as what u just made although not sure what the marinate was but tasted FANTASTIC!!! MERY CHRISTMAS 2 THE WHOLE STCG FAM AND CREW...
Looks Awesome Sam....thank you young man for all your wonderful ideas!! You made this old lady very happy!! Hope your holiday is Wonderful as you and Max!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent! And thanks for turning me onto the poblano. Previously, I only used it when making tomatillo/salsa verde for chicken tacos. Now it’s my favorite pepper to use with beef, too!
Sam you should try making that sandwich exactly like that, grab some sandwich paper and roll it tight! You’ll get a nice cohesive sandwich. Kind of like a Chicago style beef sandwich
OMG, that marinade looks incredible. I'm all over this one!
That looks amazing! Mushrooms seem like they would go really well with the rest of the veggies on it.
Yep. Can't argue with that, all fried up on the skillet/flat top with some butter and seasoning!

Kevin, how is the spice factor ? More then a green pepper less then a jalapeño? Thanks
