I sent you an email of this, but wanted to write it here. I have never been allowed an opportunity to cook for my family. It's not that I'm not a good cook, but rather my family has a lot of really talented cooks. I followed your Thanksgiving Spatchcock Turkey and sides recipe when I hosted the fam for the holiday. They all agreed that it was hands down the best Thanksgiving meal they've ever had. They went even further to say they would be embarrassed to attempt a turkey after having the meal I cooked for them. Appreciate you Sam, Max, and Chancey. These videos have helped elevate my game and finally put me on the leader board with my family.
My 3 year old son and I love watching “the cooker man” together, and he likes to cook on his grill while I cook on mine. It’s a great time to bond together, I appreciate you guy’s content!
One thing i will always praise about this channel is how realistic and practical he makes cooking seem for the average person. I dont see a bunch of fancy ingredients and homemade stuff that takes an extra 3 days prep time, just some good food i could make with the smallest amount of effort. And i for one, LOVE that
For sure. I made his double breaded fried chicken breast and the first go was a little rough because my oil was too hot and I didn’t have enough seasoning in the breading, but the second go it was wonderful. I added my own twist to the breading spices on the third go and it was phenomenal.
Right!? I've made several of his dishes from here, as well as his cook book. All have turned out fantastic. Except those fried mozzarella balls. But, that was mostly my fault. I tried to use some thick mozzarella slices I had on hand and it didn't go well. His Salisbury steak recipe is out of this world though. 😋
Maybe not wagyu, but the theory of buying better meat because it’s on sale for what you’d normally use still makes sense. Always enhance flavor when you can!!
Sam is the king of gravy and sauces. They add so much flavor to a meal. Sam never learns that food is hot right out of the pan or oven, his reactions to hot food makes me chuckle, even though we shouldn’t laugh at other’s pain.
Love watching your videos and I love the fact that your style of cooking in the video is designed for people to learn while cooking. I work in the meat department of a local grocery store here in Florida and one of the things we do is recipe creation and recommendation based on ingredients you can get within the store. I have over the last year modified many of your recipes to fit what we could do and have recommended your channel to at least 30 coworkers and probably 3000+ people that were impressed with the sample. Keep up with the great videos and keeping it real for those that want to learn ... I know many of my customers have learned quite a bit from watching you.
All of your recipes I make for my kids, they say, "That Sam guy is a freakin' genius!" It's true, you've made me a cool dad again. I wish i could take all the credit, but I have to give credit where credit is due. Our favorite breakfast treat is from the 2021 Mothers Day episode, canned biscuits, blueberries, lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar. Baked in a bundt pan, then made into french toast. It's perfect.
Sam: “Use what you have” Also Sam: “I have wagyu” Lol, nice score. Remember my wife somewhat pissed when I scored some ground wagyu. She completely changed her reaction once she tasted the burgers I made with it.
Love it. My mom has been making these for as long as I can remember. She called them finger steaks and always used bottom round, so when I became a dad (and I could only find top round) I have continued the tradition for my family. I will be tryin this recipe, minus the wagyu #real life struggles. Keep up the good work.
I’m from Texas and those “FANGERS” look like they would be waaaaaay better than the ones they sell at Dairy Queen! Can’t wait to try the recipe for myself! Thanks Sam!
My favorite part is when Sam takes a bite of obviously way too hot foods. He does it all for our us. Putting his body on the line for our entertainment. Thank you, Sam.
Sam, Max and Chance. Thank you so much for your videos. They are great inspiration for home cooking ideas. Our family lost our home in a fire this year and haven’t been able to cook as much. We are currently rebuilding and would be so grateful for any prize, especially the smoker, to help us enjoy some home cooked meals again. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
I have been watching you guys for the past year and I have started cooking for my girlfriend and I so much more often. I actually have you guys’ knife set on my Christmas list cause I want to make sure I’m cooking with style! Lol
I appreciate that you're giving back to us even when you already give us so much. My girlfriend (now wife) gave me your cookbook last year as a gift and it has been great. This is our first holiday season together and I'm thinking about starting a "french toast mountain" tradition for us on Christmas. I'll send you the post if we end up doing it!
My wife is from Texas and says she’s highly offended at these “fangers;” highly offended we aren’t eating them that is! They look friggin’ awesome my friend. Love the channel…love the banter. Ps. We made a spatchcock turkey for Thanksgiving this year (first time breaking any bones like that before). Perfection. We’ll be doing so again next year…As always keep up the great content boys!
Not only do chicken fried steak fingers sound amazing, but I’m sure using the wagyu ribeye took them to a whole new level! Love all of your videos and your outdoor kitchen setup.
Always super excited for Sam's Week of Giving and all the possible prizes. There are a few people in my life who I would love to give these incredible gifts too, who are so deserving and have made incredible meals in the past.
Every Saturday morning my husband asks “what are we making for dinner?” So we binge watch your channel until we see something new to try. Just wish we had all your cool appliances and tools to complete our outdoor kitchen. 👩🍳👨🏻🍳
After 35 happily married years of trying to enjoy my wife’s chicken with a light squirt of lemon (for flavor), she has discovered your channel. Oh my goodness!! Food cooked at home with FLAVOR!! Thank you so much for changing my life.
That gravy is about to become a staple in our household. We have been watching your videos religiously now since March 2020 - and you truly have "made our food lives better"!!! Keep up the great work!
I have never had steak tenders! This look so amazing, I will be sure to try and recreate this come time over my winter break for my family! Love your content!!!
Love the thought of these. Although, even if on sale I wouldn't use a wagu strip for these, I'd make strip steaks. The cubed steak is tenderized perfectly for this dish and way cheaper for anyone doing this for the first time. Love the videos and content, great job!
Chicken Fried Steak is the best, but I never considered making “fangers” out of them. Will definitely be doing this for New Years’!! The gravy looks incredible as well!
Our Dairy Queens in Texas have steak fingers. I would never recommend them to anyone bc they are purely nostalgic and not great by any means. I like them, but I can recognize the cheapness in them.
@@rangertx4161 Yeah, I've had them before and they hardly constitute "chicken fingers". I would say Sam's recipe would be closer to a Black-Eyed Pea or Cracker Barrel quality.
@@rangertx4161 I'm born/raised in TX and I don't ever recall having DQ Steak Fingers. I've only had their ice cream, cones, and Blizzards. Surprised to hear you had your first CFS in Phoenix, I live in the suburb but grew up in Tucson where I ate steak fingers at Lucky Wishbone...brings back old memories. I can definitely confirm, they didn't use Wagyu❤️
I'm from Tucson and the Lucky Wishbone sauce is the best part. I was going to comment that he should try it with extra horseradish cocktail sauce. Sooo good!

Love your vids, been here for almost 2 years! As a student, your vids helped me a bunch in avoiding those dreadfull cantena meals, even if it barely works due to the situation in the world. I now spend at least one or two hours cooking each day and loving it. Meals are mostly simple for me and the roomie, but on wekends I like to experiment by cooking something I saw that week on your channel. Keep up the great work man. Wish you and the fam a marry holiday season!

All of your stuff always looks delicious and I can never wait to make them before your videos are done. Not always home from submarine duty but when I am I am fortunate enough to see your videos for new ideas. And it helps keep the conversations interesting while underway.

I've loved to cook for as long as I remember. Lately though, when I want to impress, I go into my STCG playlist. Always yields a WOW. Yep, this one is going on that list.
