100k subscribers, so AWESOME! So much terrific free content here on so many topics. Thank you Susan and team! 5- ⭐ absolutely and even better, 5 vegan chocolate chip cookies 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪 to you 🎉
I'm a Recaller's member going into my 2nd year and I can say that it is one of the very best online programs to help dog owners become better dog-parents. Coupled with Dogs That, your pets and service dogs will enjoy greatly enriched lives as partners in your life and your family's lives.
This is an episode that I really needed! I now hear my dogs' barking as their way of expressing emotions that we as humans can relate to! I look very much forward to your follow-up podcast. Thank you!
I once had a dog that was so quiet, until she had anesthesia or strong pain killers - then she would become an absolute chatterbox 😂 My current pup is so much more vocal than any dog I’ve ever had before, and she makes the most creative sounds! Looking forward to the rest of this series!
i am so glad to have found your channel - the way you understand and describe building relationship with dogs hits my heart in all the right places. Effective dominance without a domineering attitude... just wow. Thank you for your work; from my pack to yours. :)
Always always awesome information. Don't know how I would have coped with my single puppy (as opposed to puppies coming into a 1 or 2 older dog home) without Susan's amazing programs. And this series on barking has come at exactly the right moment for us. Thank you soooooo much.
Awesome topic ! I’ve shared with my neighbors - with the “barking dogs” ! But all joking aside, I learn something every podcast … always learning! Thank you and your team for sharing all your knowledge and experience with us!
What a great podcast. While my dog is not a problematic barker, I learned allot about why dogs bark and could relate these to incidents when my girl will vocalize. Cannot wait for part two! As usual, Susan, you explain things so well and your sense of humor makes my day. I am so grateful for these podcasts and your lessons. Poppy and I say thank you. ❤️
Congratulations on achieving 100K subscribers who have recognised your amazing talent in passing on incredibly useful dog information. I have a barking dog and I have never thought to turn it around and look at his barking from a communication and vocalising point of view. Looking forward to the next installment.
Congrats on 100,000 subscribers!!!! Great podcast on why dogs bark…looking forward to the series….need help with my very vocal 5 month old standard poodle puppy😁 I bet I’ll learn how I’m inadvertently reinforcing the bark and how to change that! Thanks so much for your insight, instruction and wealth of dog knowledge!!!!! And the fun way you present it to all of us!!!!
All your podcasts are great!!! Our dogs are Decker Terriers. One is very quiet and the other wants to vocalize all the time. They are both good communicators. Yawns, with squeaks, low talking growled, wines. They crack us up with all there talk. We listen and respond
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers, Susan and team! 👏👏👏 This was so good! You are so inspiring and always help me to see things from a different perspective. Thank you! I cannot wait for the live. 🫶🫶🫶
This is very helpful. I realised my dog chats a lot but so do I. My dog barks once to go outside. One bark to invite me to play with him. But he barks at dogs etc etc. I'm looking forward to the next youtube lesson. Thank you!
Enjoyed your intro to dog barking and explanation of the various reasons why dogs bark. The story of the couple who kept unwittingly reinforcing their dog's barking is a good reminder to examine how our behaviors impact our dogs. I know of several instances of people's puppy training getting sabotaged because they left the pup with pet sitters😅 which is why I always plan not to go anywhere when I have a new puppy. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Hope you'll be addressing in more detail what to do with dogs who like to obnoxiously bark continuously while playing with other dogs. My dog tends to be pushy when socializing with other dogs. Though I've tried various things to discourage it since he was an adolescent, he likes to "yell/bark" in other dog's faces to get their attention or try to get them to play. He is a chatty breed---Samoyed---and this is the only situation I have difficulty with his vocalizations. His personality has always been such that he can become frustrated easily when very focused on something but he also can be very patient & has pretty good impulse control about other things like mealtime & squirrels.
I will be on for the 100K subscriber celebration. Your videos are so helpful. Your content is amazing and gives a 'personal' touch to helping train our dog(s). Just heard a little yip from the crate, time for potty break!

Congrats!!🎉 I have a pack barker when my older dog barks (at a door knock or hears neighbor dog or sees squirrel in back yard) and puppy barks for attention and 3rdly occasionally when playing with his big bro. Positive interceptor works but I would like to get in front of it. For now, I have yet to acknowledge attention barks. I'm hoping he thinks I can't even hear him . Lol
Wow thank you Susan! I’ll try to be a little more understanding but when you have a coonhound baying in your ear every time they get into a vehicle it gets old. BTW she loves riding, she’s so happy she feels the need to sing about it! 😂 I don’t even need to turn over the engine before it starts 🤦🏻🤷🏻♀️ no idea how to get her to stop but we do love playing your games.
